We never got to the point of scheduling an appointment. The first time he wanted to come almost immediately. I stated that I have to give work plenty of notice so I suggested a week in which I could be a little more flexible. I never heard from him until the day before he wanted to come. He asked me some preferred times and when I gave them to him, he said he is not going to get up that early and come. Then he e-mailed after 9:30 the night before to state he was coming the next day. I said I had it with the scheduling. This was my first Angi's List Purchase ever. This was completely unprofessional. I have dealt with lots of contractors over the years and he was the worst in working with. Told him I didn't want his service

It was an emergency. Our refrigerator stopped working. And it was a hot weekend. But Jon responded anyway and fixed the problem. While he was here we mentioned a problem we had been having with our stove burner, and he ordered a part and came back and fixed that too. He is an appliance genius.

Bill came on time and went to work right away. He was very handy and knowledgeable of the trade. The door of the refrigerator was misaligned. He aligned it with a shim and softened the closing gasket with a hair dryer to re-shape it. Once the freezer and refrigerator doors were aligned, they closed properly. Bill was easy going and showed a good desire to help me with my problem. I was satisfied with the repair. I would recommend Bill to other people

I called Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. I told her I had relocated all the stuff in both the frig and freezer so she did not have to rush. Said she could come on Monday at 3:00 pm, which is what I asked. She immediately when to work. She knew the model and serial number of frig, because she asked for that information after our first conversation. She had a new sensor unit, which she said after her experience in repairing this model is the usual problem. Changed it out and asked if I wanted her to defrost my freezer or I could do it to save the labor costs. I said I would, and she showed me what to do before I plugged it back in. It works great again. I would recommend her to anyone and use her again myself

The hardest part was waiting three days before he could come. The repair person quickly diagnosed the problem, got a part from his truck, and made the repair. After a discount from a coupon I got from Angie's List, the cost was quite reasonable for the quality of the service

Bill The Repair Guy
Refrigerator was blowing hot air after electricity was off for 66 hours. I thought I would need a new fridge. Bill pulled out the damaged parts and showed me where there were burn marks on my fan and a piece of plastic had blown off the fan. He needed to replace two parts. The fan needed to be ordered. While he was there I asked him about a broken shelf and he was honest and told me they weren't cheap but when ordering my fan he asked about the shelf and although it was a $100 I was appreciative that he could order it and put it in. I had to wait a day for the fan but in the meantime he placed a fan behind my fridge to blow on the coils and it helped cool my fridge until he got the part in. He called me when the part was in and he went and got it and brought it straight to my house. He didn't add additional charges to the parts. Honest, fast, friendly

FIRST I never give low scores.. this is a first, second, when he walked in, the tech hadn't even done any diagnostics and said "How attached are you to this refrigerator?" then proceeded to unscrew the bottom front panel and said "I can't even see under there so it must not be cleanable" THEN he DID put in a valve to add freon which he did, then said it would take a few hours to kick in and left to another job. (STILL not working yet) THEN he said he was out of time and couldn't come back until the next day which he did, added more freon then said there is a leak somewhere and it could cost too much to fix. I asked "How do you know if you don't know what is wrong with it or where it is actually leaking if you don't check where?" He just told me it isn't worth it. We paid $1700 for this refrigerator only seven years ago and of course it is out of warrantee, but I would have paid to fix it. He just didn't know how. The OTHER issue is that if you call the contractor through BLOOMINGTON ASAP APPLIANCE REPAIR This is not a company, you are calling a SUB Contractor who isn't represented by anyone, and you will NOT get customer service if you have an issue. AVOID AT ALL COST!

I called, explained that the stove top worked but the oven wouldn't heat. He said he was pretty sure he knew what was wrong, asked if I could see the model number on back of stove, which I could, and he checked to see if he had a part in stock. He did! He came out 3 days later and had it working in less than 20 minutes. The work had a 100 day guarantee. Its still working great. Price included his travel time. He was friendly and really knew his stuff

We sold our house and we agreed to leave our appliances in working order. Then, suddenly, our refrigerator stopped refrigerating. We contemplated replacing the whole refrigerator (which was about 9 years old), but I thought I'd shop a few appliance service companies first. I used Angies List, and I called a few, but many were too busy (wouldn't be able to come out for several days to a week), or cost too much ($95 dollars for the trip and diagnostics alone). I called Pat, and he agreed to come immediately after the call he was on. He arrived about 30 minutes later. He only charged $49 for the trip and diagnostics. He quickly identified and corrected the problem. He also explained what he was doing and what the problem was

Took awhile to get a response. Had to send the serial# etc via photo and then did not receive a response for timing and quote. I had to call to find out where we were at. Still did not get a quote. Surprised by the $99 initial visit cost and final cost.

I contacted Carlson and spoke to Matt, who ordered a new door from the manufacturer and had an employee replace the door. All we had to pay was a modest trip charge.
