Emailed him photos twice. No response. Why not respond? I emailed photos so he'd have an idea of the job ahead of time to see if it's something he would be able to do or see if it was too small of a job. It's too bad, because I know a lot of people who could have used him if our job worked out well.

I was reluctant to hire someone without a reference but it was suggested I try Angie's List. Garth promptly returned my call and a time was set up for him to come by and take a look at what we needed and give us a quote. The price seemed very reasonable and we hired him to do the work. Through no fault of his, what he expected to be a 3-day project became 6 days. Garth arrived on time every day and kept me informed each step of the way. He did a great job with the plaster repair, skim coat, and painting of the walls and ceiling in our sunroom. He is both very personable and professional and we couldn't have been happier with his work. We would most definitely hire him again and would encourage friends or family to do the same

Painting of walls was excellent. The only negative comment would be in regards to the light switch plates were damaged upon replacement and screws were missing. I had to replace all switches which was costly.

The person who came to give us an estimate was not the one who actually did the work. We got a response for a quote right away and it seemed very reasonable so we went ahead and made an appointment. A different individual came and made the repair. It looks a little uneven. He also left some sheetrock and a bag of sand outside the house which we had to dispose of and didn't clean up after himself very well. I would use the company again but not before talking much more about my expectations. But the bottom line is the ceiling is repaired and that was our goal

Matt McCloskey responded to my request for an estimate in a very timely fashion. He came over to see the space, create his estimate, and explain the process to me. When it came time to start the sheetrock work, we did have to wait about a week for his crew to be able to start. When they did get going, they were very professional, friendly, and did a quality job. The upstairs space had a lot of complicated angles, but the guys made it all look beautiful. We also needed the existing stairway's plaster to be repaired/reinforced and skim coated. At the bottom of the stairs, there were a few areas of the wall that didn't look so great. In the remodel process, a few gouges were made and some plastic blew into the primer which created a weird ripple effect. When I called Matt to let him know most of the space was done beautifully, but I needed him to fix the stairs -- he was very gracious in apologizing for that mistake, and had his guys come out and fix it the next business day. In the end, it all looked great -- and even the not-so-great parts were fixed and taken care of pretty quickly. Additionally, the final charge was exactly as the job was estimated -- no surprises

Wow! Tom did an absolutely fantastic job on a major painting project in our house. We have plaster walls that have never been painted since the house was built in the 1940s and a hand-swirled ceiling that required professional painting. Tom was meticulous in expertly patching all the cracks in the walls, and despite their age they are now perfectly smooth. Because it's an older home we needed someone who really knew what they were doing to handle whatever surprises we encountered, and Tom delivered all the way. With each decision we had to make, he chose the right way over the cheap or easy way. I also appreciated that his 30 years of experience helped us to steer clear of a number of pitfalls. For example, he immediately knew that the color that we chose wouldn't cover well if we used the usual base for it, so before putting on any paint he worked with Sherwin Williams to reformulate the paint using a new base that completely covered in two coats and that exactly matches the color we wanted. Tom was also super easy to work with. He coached me through how to strip the wallpaper myself so that I could save some money and he gave me tips on how to improve my own painting skills. He was friendly, punctual, highly skilled, reasonably priced, and fast. And he did a great job of cleaning up at the end. I couldn't have asked for more

Can't say enough about our positive experience with Look Kool Painting. Miguel and his crew took on the huge job of painting our 100-year-old barn (funny how I thought for a minute that I might do the painting myself...) this summer. From start to finish, they were professional and communicative. Clearly, Miguel takes details and thoroughness seriously; even though the work was often 40 feet up a wall and on a slope or between the barn and silo, he and his staff taped every non-painted surface meticulously. You can't even imagine how much scraping it took to prep this barn, but they scraped every square inch! They handled a setback related to the age of the barnwood with grace, keeping with the original bid. The barn looks amazing and I'm especially grateful for the spotless barnyard and flowerbeds. They vacuumed up nearly every stray paint chip. If you're looking for a reliable painter with a friendly crew, I recommend Miguel and his people at Look Kool. We'll have him back for future projects, though I bet this barn job will be good for another 10 years

Innovative stucco repaired a large wall that had been extensively damaged, from the inside by water, The stucco work was well done, high quality, and from the street looks and blends in well with the other surrounding stucco walls. Roger responded quickly to our response for an estimate. Once we scheduled a date he said that his crew would probably arrive a little early which they did. All the work took about 3 hours, they cleaned up after themselves and they were gone by lunchtime. We were very happy with all the repairs. You cannot see where the repairs were done on the bedroom wall and ceiling (although it did take a day for the ceiling to dry which worried my husband at first but the next day he saw his concerns were unfounded). The plaster in the dining room has a rather unusual texture which was very hard to match but they did a good job on that and with the new paint, you would not see it unless you were looking for it

My husband and I spent almost a year trying to get multiple layers of stubborn wallpaper down, and Jeff was able to get it done in less than two weeks. The team at United Wall has done another great job for us. This job was even more complicated than our last one because it was for our entire staircase wall, which is both high, curved near the top, and also on stairs. Also, this was probably 15-20 ft long of cracked wall and 7 ft high of cracks. This is excluding the big crack on the other side of the stairs that was also in this project. Same with part of our ceiling. They showed up exactly on time, completed the job on time, and did an incredible job protecting our stairs, preventing dust to other areas, and then cleaning up. They also did a great job protecting the entrance cabinets, walls, and windows. We used them about a year ago and were excited to hire them again for this project. The quality of that work has held up under tremendous load that we’ve put on some of those areas from another construction project that requires bracing that area of the house inside and out. Call them and feel free to call elsewhere, but hire this team if you want quality work done right. I am cross-posting this on the BBB and Google Reviews too
