Mr. How Do You Do It
Ben has done several projects for us over the last couple of years. He is always punctual, polite, and does very high quality work. He's replaced doors, windows and exterior trim work at our house in St. Paul. It's an old house so the projects can be more challenging than in a newer place. Ben has a lot of attention to detail and makes sure the job is done right. He has stayed late several times to ensure the project is done correctly. The painting and trim repair went smoothly. The owner contacted me the day before they wanted to start, when the weather was looking up, and we met the next morning. This was about a week after I gave the go ahead on the proposal. The painters were out for three days, with thee the first day, two the second, and one the third to finish up. I received an email update from the owner the second day to update me on progress and made it home early on the second and third days to check in. All went smoothly from my perspective. There was a bit of trade off on prep work for the front entrance area (going to remove next year so skimp on prep) and trim repair which worked out well and kept the project at cost. I spoke with the painter on site who'd managed the team at some length about the work and future options on the last day when work was wrapped up. Note on price: I didn't have a chance to get additional bids before I wanted to go ahead so I don't have a basis for comparison, but the price seemed fair for the work and friends with similar experience concurred

The Magic Painting Co
This is the completion to our painting project that we started last year. The crew from Magic Painting painted our entire interior last December, but could not paint our doors as they are metal. We decided to have all of our outside work completed at once. We had always planned to use Magic Painting as they did such a great job on our interior painting. John came and gave us a bid and Evan completed the work. The results of this project were equivalent to our results last December. They always show up at the time they say they will and will keep working until you are satisfied. This project took approximately three days and they clean everything up at the end of each day. We already had the paint for the doors, but they were able to match the other outdoor colors exactly and with no problems

This was a fantastic experience from the beginning to end. We first met the owner, Mark, at the State Fair. He was very nice and wasn't throwing a sales pitch to us in any way. Their price was in the middle to higher range, however, there was a very comforting fell in all discussions that led us to choose Mark and his company. There is a delay in getting the doors and windows ordered and shipped. They are customer made to fit our home so this is standard. Once they were in, scheduling was done immediately and work began on time. We wanted to wait a bit for everything to settle-in after some use before writing our review. The quality of the work, the doors and the bay window is fantastic. After 6 months of regular use, everything is working as well as when it was all installed. We are so very happy with out choice of Mark and his company that we will be looking forward to the next time we need windows. They will be the 1st company we call. Thank you Mark

I feel very blessed to have had Chad to help me through the transition to this new home. The house I purchased was a foreclosure that had sat empty for about 18 months. There were a number of things that needed attention in order to make it liveable. Chad was able to come to my inspection and saw first hand all of the issues that this house had. Together we talked through the list of repairs that needed to be completed and Chad helped me prioritize what was critical and what could be put off. Then, he went to work. One of the things I appreciate about Chad is that he knows his limitations and has developed business relationships with professional plumbers and electricians. There were things that Chad didn't do personally, but he had the ablility to coordinate the work with other professionals and everything was done very well. I received one bill for all the work and it was an extremely fair bill. I still have a long list of work that needs to be done and when I am ready, Chad will be the first person I will call!

eWe needed to get our 1930s South Minneapolis Tudor ready to put on the market. Jeanne Eaton helped us get our last house ready to sell and did a lot of tile and installation work on this house seven years ago when we bought it, so we called her right away. We've known Jeanne for a long time and she's one of the few people I truly trust to be in my home when I'm away and to make sure the cats don't get outside, etc. She has meticulous attention to detail and is only happy when the job is done perfectly. Jeanne came by and gave us an estimate and was able to start work later that same week. She did a particularly amazing job with making and installing all the quarter round in the kitchen and back door hallway (we had removed the linoleum floor to sand and refinish the wood floor beneath, but now there was a gap and we needed wood thresholds to match and we couldn't do this part ourselves.) She made new quarter round where needed and new thresholds, all to match the original cabinets and complement the floor. We added in building a shelf "bar" in the kitchen when I could not find a precut shelf to match and Jeanne made one and mounted it. And as great as she is at woodworking, her specialty is tile. She regrouted the large walk-in master bath shower to look like new. Jeanne even worked on the weekend to help us get the house on the market on time. We sold our house at our asking price in five days, thanks in part to Jeanne's excellent work
