CADY HANDYMAN SERVICES

John Meyer(project manager) arrived at the house. We discussed the multiple aspects of the Bathroom remodel. He confirmed that this is something the company is capable of. He stated he would contact me via email. After 5 business days I emailed him and he stated he was trying to get information on our spa tub to replace the hardware. I had given him the company name and number. I waited 10 days after that email and he stated he was still not done. I called the number regarding our spa tub to see if the information was difficult to obtain, but the first person I spoke with helped me with every question. So I once again emailed Cady Handyman and after 1 month I still have not heard from anyone

Great Lakes Home Renovations

The most regrettable experience I've had as a homeowner is working with Great Lakes Window & Siding. The bathroom remodel I hired them for took longer than promised (3-4 weeks, not 3-4 days), and the work performed was shoddy and lacking in professionalism (the grout work was so bad we're already thinking of hiring someone to redo it less than 2 years later; if that's not bad enough, the water wasn't turned off prior to our bathtub's removal/replacement, leading to a burst pipe and water damage to an adjacent room's ceiling. Great Lakes' idea of resolving that issue was painting over the water stains -- but the splotches are still visible -- and two years later the pipes are leaking, perhaps because they forgot to install a gasket on the overflow valve. I called to have them come out and stand by their work (the leak stained the ceiling). They promised they would, but never fit me into their schedule. If you have read this far, trust me; you will regret it. Look elsewhere

Overall, I really enjoyed working with Great Lakes. I had the same two guys come out and install my bathroom (Hassan and Mike). The remodel took 3 days. They were professional and courteous; on time and cleaned up the area every night. Hassan kept me in the loop for changes and asked for my opinions when it came to placing certain pieces in the shower. My only complaint would be in communication between Great Lakes home office. After my consultation, I was told I would receive samples of the vanity color and countertop (for painting) which didn't happen & the person I was to contact had left the company so my emails were not getting through and I had to contact the office and explain my issue. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends

Very well. We needed handicapped updates (higher toilets & grab bars), and also a new vanity top. Tom’s contract was thorough. The price was moderately high, but dialogue made us comfortable. As it turned out, Tom encountered problems ( rotten drain pipe connecting to the sink, adding trim needed because we wanted the vanity higher, adding additional outlets to the backslash, etc. He admits “I am not a plumber or electrician”, but that only means “licensed”. In reality he accomplishes the required tasks w/o having to call in help: and solves problems that others would have upped the costs. He only charged us for the extra parts required to correct the issues, and not the labor (and he had to make several trips for parts)

APEX Construction Management LLC

I filled out the contact page on Apex's website (linked from Angie's List) looking to get a quote on a bathroom upgrade, which I assumed would involve scheduling a visit. I did receive a reasonably prompt reply; however, that reply was simply to ask for a phone number for Apex to call me. I responded with my phone number and an explanation that I had not included it in the first place, because email is a far more effective and efficient way to communicate with me. I then received a few voicemails from Apex, but never providing anything other than a request to call them back. On at least one of these occasions, I was actually home, but did not answer the call, because, for reasons I can't explain, whatever phone system Apex uses does not identify itself to my caller ID, and I do not answer unidentified calls. After a couple weeks of this, I followed up with another email, re-explained the situation, and asked if they could reply via email with whatever information they needed from me to move forward, and I would supply it. Again, I received a reasonably prompt email reply, stating that they always ask three questions: 1) description of work to be done, 2) budget, and 3) time frame. I was a little put off by the request for a job description, since I had provided that with the initial contact form, but I figured that since we were at least corresponding now, I'd humor them. I provided another (fairly detailed) description of what I was looking to have done, as well as the time frame I was looking to have the work completed (at the time, about 4-5 months in the future). In regard to the budget, I again explained that I was looking for quotes, so that while I did have an ideal figure I was hoping to stay within (which I also provided), I was more interested in getting a quote from them than worrying about how much I was able/willing to spend. That was five weeks ago, and I've never heard anything more from them. I don't know if they just decided my job was too small (if so, why do they advertise that they do bathrooms?), if they just couldn't be bothered to via email (if so, why do they have a contact form on their website?), if they just didn't want to put something in writing (which would be a major red flag if so), or some other reason. Regardless, they've apparently decided they don't even want to schedule a visit, let alone provide a quote and hopefully score some business. If hired, they may do great work, but if they make it this difficult just to schedule a visit to get a quote, I can only imagine what a nightmare of communication actually working with them could turn into

Emily was great. She found a solution to moving things around in a bathroom remodel that nobody else thought of and it solved the issue. Overall worked with us great as a designer for our main bathroom remodel and then did the design and install on a closet organizing system. We wanted our bathroom remodel to fit into the fact our house is 1969, and she blended it well so it fit the period

Our bathroom remodel went great! Bernie and his crew were a pleasure to work with. There were a few challenges and delays in the course of the project, all manageable and due the pandemic and structure of our 120 year old house. The crew was friendly and professional, and went the extra mile to endure the highest quality of craftsmanship

We hired Mark Ruffner to remodel our second floor bathroom in our 1933 home. The work he did was high quality, the price reasonable and the communication was very good. Mark always showed up when he said he would and once the job started kept it moving along to completion.

A to Z Construction Inc.
5.0
Val and team did a great job re-doing my basement bath. They converted it from an old gross 80's surround to a tiled masterpiece. As with any construction project, once they opened the walls, they found some unexpected issues. I asked them if they could pivot away from that to do something different in the bathroom and he quickly said that sure he could do that. I looked at other companies to replace the tile in the bathroom and they all would only do the tile and I would have to find my own plumber as well as do my own demo. Since A to Z is a remodeler, they can include all that in the price and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone
This was the fourth project that Country Creek Builders did for us so it's obvious we feel they do awesome work. Whether we deal with Dan, Dave or any other member of their team, everyone is always knowledgeable, courteous, and completes quality work. We worked primarily with Dave on this particular project and he was terrific to work with. We were always kept informed as to the status of the project and what and who to expect when. Whether the job is small (as this one was) or extensive (which we've done before), the quality of Country Creek Builders is consistently high. I highly recommend them for any remodeling project
VIP did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom. Each employee or sub did very good work, especially Scott who spent the most time on the project. Cleaned up at the end of every day so it didn't feel like we were living in a construction zone. Every one of their people were very friendly and courteous. They kept us informed of the project status and told us daily when they would be back, which was pretty much most days until we had to wait for the countertops to be cut and installed by Cambria. We are very happy with the end result
But I did not accept it. He was very polite and very good. He had to call and come out here a couple of times. I would consider them in the future. They were going to do a shed roof. I would say the get a couple of estimates. He had to call a couple of times to get out here.
Basement and bathrooms are beautiful. Josh is extremely responsive and corrects any issues immediately. This is a great company and I highly recommend to all of my friends thinking about remodeling.
Andrew was able to fit my job into his schedule very quickly, and got the job done within the schedule he said he would. When the job was finished, we asked him to come back for some last minute clean-up, which he willingly did right away, even after the bill had been paid in full. It's obvious he values his reputation, and is dedicated to customer service. We will consider him for our next tile job, a bathroom remodel
Ben was very professional to deal with and always on time. He had some ideas for our remodel and responded promptly with an estimate of the job. His partner Vlad was also very professional and they always cleaned up after themselves and laid down tarps to protect our flooring. He was accessible when we had questions or issues to discuss. The quality of his work is excellent. He also stands behind his work. We are happy with our new bathroom and would recommend Ben to our friends and family
Tim could not be more professional. Touch to get someone to come out for a roof leak. He was prompt to come out for the quote, did a great job communicating and showed up on time and did a great job. We will use Tim in the future and highly recommend him.
We had only been in our home for about a year when we discovered we were expecting our second child. We love our home, but it's small so we needed to maximize the square footage to accommodate our expanding family (especially our very energetic two year old!) We went through Angie's List and found three highly rated companies for quotes. We met with Jim for the estimate and he drew up a preliminary design and emailed us a line-itemed quote that thoroughly broke down the final cost. Jim seemed to be very knowledgeable about all things related to the building process and he really put our minds at ease. Although On Time's quote came back the highest vs. the other companies, we felt most comfortable with them. Unfortunately, shortly after signing with On Time, Jim suffered a personal emergency and we were no longer able to work with him. Pavel quickly picked up where Jim left off and became our project manager. We met with him at their showroom in Hopkins to finalize the design and Pavel had some great suggestions on making the space "kid friendly" (i.e. finishing options that would stand up to years of abuse!) Because we were able to fit into On Time's schedule a little early, they offered to cover the cost of the demo, which we greatly appreciated and Pavel was always open to letting us do whatever work we wanted to help keep the costs down. The first few weeks were a flurry of activity - demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC - and I cannot tell you how impressed we were with the crew that was assigned to our project. They always showed up "On Time", if not early, every day and worked hard and late into the evening on many occasions (we had several neighbors notice this as well - they were equally impressed). The subcontractors were also excellent. Everyone was prompt, polite, and professional and it was very clear that they were all very good at their craft. Pavel was a wonderful project manager and we appreciated his quick responses to emails and phone calls. We set up weekly project updates, and any time there was an issue or a change that we wanted to make, Pavel got back to us promptly. For instance, on the day the electrical rough-in was completed and everyone had left for the day, there was a wiring issue with the breaker that ran the refrigerator. It was a Friday, and we weren't looking forward to a weekend without a working fridge! We called Pavel at about 6:00 PM and he picked up the phone right away, contacted the electrician, and the issue was fixed within an hour. We made several changes throughout the process and nothing was ever an issue and most recommendations that Pavel or the crew made were very helpful. Even with inspection delays, the project was completed well within the expected time frame. In the end, our experience with On Time was everything we could've hoped for. This was a significant project with a significant cost, and if you do your research, you really do get what you pay for - PEACE OF MIND that your project is in good hands. Thank you to Pavel, Karnil, Vasiliy and the rest of the On Time crew for the wonderful addition to our home. We look forward to using it for many years to come
Excellent quality at really affordable prices. Great communication. Will stay with the job until yo are completely satisfied. One caveat. They are not designers. So you must be prepared to make selections of everything that will fit in the space. Wasn’t a problem for me and resulted in huge cost savings. Would never have doe my bathroom if I hadn’t found these guys. Thrilled I did
High quality work, very professional and truly concerned about making the customer happy. Impressed with how quickly and thoroughly they solved issues that came up during the project.
It was really easy working with Brian. Dependable and reliable. He was more than willing to take on all the projects I asked him to do and exceeded my expectations. It was refreshing to have a contractor who was willing to go through the process of explaining things in a way that made me feel comfortable
Excellent job. Done in one day even after removing existing tub and shower. New wall surround and decking around tub installed. Very professional, meticulous in their work, and cleaned up the area very well when finished. I highly recommend Five Star Bath and will no doubt use them in a future remodel
Window Concepts bid a job to complete a tub surround for a bathroom remodel we recently completed. We had a tight timeline and needed a contractor who could work within that, and Window Concepts delivered - the surround was installed 3-4 weeks in advance of what we expected. It was a complicated job, and when we had some issues with the product that was installed first, they came through on got us new product and reinstalled it faster than we could have expected. Overall we are very pleased with the outcome of the project and would recommend them again
had a great walk thru and didn't feel pressured at all. Was able to work on the price by changing the items we picked. The sales man was very nice and helpful. We went over everything in detail so we were prepared for the install. The installation team was great and curtious. Explained what they were doing and showed us the process. They cleaned up everything and it was like they weren't there. Went over everything when they were done and made sure we were happy with end result. Very glad that we used them and would do it agai

What do customers in Saint Paul say about Remodel Small Bathroom?
Excellent work, good communication, and trustworthy. I was referred to David by a kitchen designer to install cabinets, extend a wall, and install a vent. Everything went extremely well and looks great. Because I was pleased with the kitchen, I selected David for 2 additional jobs. The deck was the largest project and I'm very pleased with quality construction. Throughout all of the projects, David was very easy to work and responsive. I had no issues trusting him and his team working in my home.
