MOBILE MAINTENANCE
My daughter recently purchased a mobile home and has had repeated plumbing issues (mostly underneath the home). We called Mobile Maintenance for an estimate on replacing all the plumbing. Steve came out quickly to look over the situation and provide an estimate. The quote was a bit on the high side, however since they specialize in mobile home plumbing and guarantee their work, we decided to go with them. They require 1/2 payment upfront 1/2 payment at time of work or full payment upfront for a small discount. I was nervous about paying prior to any work being completed, but trusted his decent ratings on Angie's list. When we paid he said they were wrapping up some other jobs and would schedule a time with us in about 10 days. After two weeks I called him to see what was up. He seemed a little confused who I was at first, but eventually we got aligned and scheduled work for the following week. They guys came out to work on time. The did a great job - replaced all plumbing from the incoming water line to all fixtures in the home (including replacing shut off valves and supply lines to faucets, etc). There were two additional tasks on the estimate that we paid for - fixing an incorrect/out of code water heater install and replacing a small section of under the home drain pipe (that was not to code). Unfortunately the workers knew nothing about those tasks so those had to be completed at a future date. We called and arranged time for those future items to be completed. Both were done and done well. Final step was for underside of home to be insulated and that was completed a few days later. All in all we are pleased with the work completed. If you hire them you may need to keep after them a bit to get work scheduled (there were no issues and they were prompt once scheduled) and you may need to keep a watchful eye to ensure that all work agreed too is performed (there seems to be some communication issues between Steve and his team at times)

I was most thankful because it was during a holiday weekend when we had a snow storm, it would have cost a fortune if I would have needed him to come out. He instructed me via phone on how to fix the furnace and made sure I knew exactly which button to push.

This is a mobile home repair service. They arrived on time, however, I was quoted $ 85.00 an hour over the phone. Two people showed up which I was not aware of. They charged $85.00 an hour for each worker. They also charge $85.00 serivce call. I believe this was a simple plug in the drain pipe, they did clear the drain. However I fell I was ripped off for the cost of $85.00 per person, they did not need two people to complete the work. Do not hire this company

Designer, Ricke Ann Drake was great to work with. She listened to my budget and space needs. Ricki Ann was very attentive to the details of the kitchen and I thought she communicated very well. She always answered my calls in a timely manner. The workmanship was very good. The workmen cleaned up their workspace everyday. The construction supervisor Jim Shurmier was also very responsive and stayed in contact with me and my husband throughout the job. We probably will use Home Value Inc. again when we remodel our bathroom

MOBILE MAINTENANCE
Called Mobile Maintenance Inc., Fridley, MN, again (as Steve installed a venting pipe, back in 2012, and I kept his card). My water softener or water heater was leaking all over my floor. The temperature was well below zero and he managed to work me in and arrived in time to save my floor from being permanently damaged. Steve did all the appropriate actions to dry out and/or removed the surrounding areas that had gotten moistened or wet (including the insulation under my home). When it was all dry, he had several of his guys come out (the water softener was the culprit) and repaired or restored everything to the original shape (except better...kudos to everyone!). His people were professional and took care not to cause any damage to the path of the problem area. They cleaned up everything before they left! Great job considering all the calls he was getting for freezing pipes. I would use Mobile Maintenance again, and would recommend them to anybody that needs work done, especially on your mobile home

K2 Bath Deck & Kitchen
Our bathroom is the best room of the house now thanks to K2! We live in a 1950s house and of course, we had the original bathroom to go with it - complete with old white, thick tile that required a massive jack hammer to tear through it. Completely tired of the old tub, we decided to upgrade to a full shower that not even the W hotel could compete with. Our bathroom is teeny tiny, but somehow K2 found a way to maximize the space and allow me to have a custom vanity with great storage! Our new door is absolutely beautiful and I can tell the rest of the 7 doors in our house are completely jealous of its beauty. From the initial consultation with Chad (who immediately makes you feel comfortable and excited about your project) to the execution with Jon as the project manager, I felt like I was taken care of the whole time. Almost every evening I would receive an update on how things went for the day and any questions that they had for me. But really what I loved was that they were able to understand my vision for the project and make recommendations that were spot on. I have been through many remodeled homes over the past few years and I can say with certainty that K2 bath design has the best execution out of anyone I've seen - the craftsmanship is superb. I would recommend their team without hesitation and look forward to the next project I can work on with them

We remodeled our basement in 2018 with FBC and the experience was so positive that we hired them to remodel our main level when we moved into our new home in 2021. With a project of this scope it was invaluable to have the initial design meetings to incorporate our vision with the designers ideas. This was followed by subsequent design meetings to meld the two. The 3D renderings are priceless in visualizing what different options will look like. Lindsay and Katie were able to get an idea of what our style was quickly and really helped elevate our original vision. They can manipulate the 3D renderings on the spot to see what different options would look like as well. Before the construction began we were given a very detailed timeline. Anytime there were changes or delays (which I have to say were minimal, especially with the supply chain and covid obstacles) we were notified and given almost daily updates on the progress. Communication is EXCELLENT with the design team and project managers. They are well organized and detail oriented. After the project was complete we had minor things that needed to be touched up and Nick was highly responsive and got the issues taken care of quickly. We have recommended many friends who have ultimately used FBC as well for their home projects and we will continue to do so! Thank you Lindsay, Katie, Gene, Nick and countless others for being so professional, reliable and good at what you do

This could not have gone better. I had two other quotes and both were kind of sketchy. Neither were licensed contractors and would have invalidated my homeowners insurance. Kim helped me figure out how to cut down some of the unnecessary work and even went to Ikea with me to select some awesome cabinets that fit the design perfectly and look way more expensive than they were. The project took about 2 months but Kim worked with me to make sure her staff left the kitchen as usable as possible (fridge, stove, etc) during that time. I love my kitchen. I'm saving to do the bathroom next and will use Kim again

We had a pipe burst above our basement ceiling this spring. We had a water mitigation company come and help dry everything out. This experience left us frustrated and angry at the people who were supposed to know what to do to save the day. It was an easy decision not to use their restoration side of the company. Instead I called Josh at Scheff Design and Remodeling. I had worked with S.D.R. (Scheff Design & Remodeling) on a business to business basis and knew that his clients were pleased with his service, and we were put to ease knowing that we were bringing a professional crew in to finish the job. I called hoping that their schedule wasn't too crazy to fit our project in. S.D.R. kindly fit us in and got to work putting our basement back together. He and his crew were friendly, on time, and courteous of our families needs. I would strongly recommend Scheff Design and Remodeling to anyone remodeling their home

They were fairly professional. They came out for an estimate for a house fire repairs, and I believe they were double the budget the insurance had given us. We contacted about 20 contractors through Angie's List, and only 7 got back to us, and only 3 were able to come out, and he was one of those who could come out. It took them about a week to do the job. Greg was not only very knowledgable, but the crew was very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. I feel like I got a pretty good deal for the work they did. The reason why I picked them was that my mother had work done on her mobile home in 1997 and they did a phenomenal job for her then. When I called another contractor to inquire about my project, they told me that they would only repair half of the wall that needed replaced due to mold damage (for $1000, including minor plumbing) and if I wanted the entire wall done, the cost would be double that. The other contractors didn't even do a full inspection before giving me an estimate. I asked the other contractor when he could have the work done, he said it would be done in a day. Greg mentioned he would have to put fans under to dry for a day or two at least before going in to replace the damaged parts, which makes a lot more sense. Greg was the first to point out that the entire wall needed replaced due to the mold; other contractors I'd spoken with never mentioned this. He was good about getting down into the flooring and showing me the extent of the damage. He also repaired the belly in the kitchen and my daughter's bedroom. The wall was in my daughter's bedroom and Greg seemed really concerned about her well-being and he just wanted to be sure to get the job done quickly and at a good price for me. They had to do pretty extensive plumbing repairs, too. He had also noticed that there was a soft spot in the bedroom floor where they were working, but found it was something his workers had missed. Greg offered for me to withhold payment until that portion of the job was completed. If I ever have to use this company again in the future, I will definitely do so!
