I would hire these guys 6 times over if I had to ever do this again. We did a major renovation of our landscape/hardscape and backyard seating areas. Given the scope of the project and the complexity of how our house is situated it was important that we picked an excellent company with good follow through. More importantly we wanted a team that we would enjoy working with and an on-site crew we could trust. Laura and Tony listened to all the things we wanted to accomplish, worked out an amazing design and gave us options that aligned with our budget concerns. As we got into the project the crew and site managers they assigned were exceptional: incredibly competent, really hardworking and, as a reflection of Laura and Tony, highly professional and attentive to the tiniest details. One of their guys wielded this gigantic paver saw like a paintbrush and literally hand carved our front walkway. In the backyard I wanted a certain slope and level to the yard and after talking through it for a bit the guy (Erik) gets into the bobcat and literally re-sloped my entire backyard in like 7 minutes (while avoiding sprinkler flags) exactly like I wanted. I couldn?t believe it. Throughout Laura and Tony quality assured, were engaged with and were very responsive to both my wife and I in addition to their crew. What you won?t see on this board is other professional appraisals of ALD. If you are reading this you should know that we hired for other specialist work and asked their opinion of ALD (knowing they work with other companies as well). They all without exception stated that Laura and Tony do some of the best work out there. Those opinions in addition to the work they did and the continual follow-up left me completely satisfied with our decision, our beautiful new yard and the experience throughout. Sometimes you don?t know if you hired the right crew until the middle, end and follow-up on a project and these guys are the real deal. Thank you Laura, Tony and the crew!!

Landstyle Design and Construction
We had several estimates with requests to show us their design recommendations. Landstyle Design and Construction took a little longer however, we felt their design was by far the best and went way beyond what the others offered for the same approximate price. Where others offered only front yard features Landstyle was able to complete the front and back for a similar price. Their crew arrived when they said and was one of the hardest working crews we have seen. They were respectful and completed the project including cleanup in about a weeks’ time. In addition they offered a two year warranty on their shrubs and flowers. We had a few of the shrubs and flowers that did not come back this year and contacted them. It took several weeks for them to respond because it was their busiest time of the year however, they sent a crew out and replaced all of the shrubs that had failed. We are completely happy with their job from the beginning through completion and recommend them highly

Southview Design
Southview gave my yard a much needed makeover. I met with our designer several times prior to actual install going over all the details and making sure we got things just right. The designer put in numerous elements I never would've thought of that are nice touches. The demo and install wont mostly on schedule and the crew was very professional. I checked with project manager near daily and he always had a small and took the 2-3 minutes to give me recap of the day and what was next. They cleaned up the site at end of each day and really paid attention to the details. We plan to do future upgrades to our exterior and will be using Southview for future work as well

Joel was wonderful to work with with a high degree of integrity. I had a specific type rock in mind for the fountain & he searched through many tons of rock to find a suitable one. When he installed the fountain, he did all the work himself, moving & replanting a shrub that was in the way, digging the hole, installing the basin & moving the rock in place. He gave me instructions & materials for winterizing the fountain (very easy-just insert a tube in the hole in the rock so that the water is pumped out of the buried basin). There is no need to ever remove the pump. I would absolutely use English Stone again for larger work like retaining walls or installing pavers

L & R was great to work with! We were having the front steps and yard torn up and re-done right before Halloween and we were concerned that this would be a problem for kids in the neighborhood. L & R promised to have the steps done by Halloween and they not only had that done but the driveway was also set in time for Halloween. We had an awesome crew that did FINE work and were so kind and courteous. They also made sure at the end of the day all was picked up. When it was garbage and recycling pickup day, they even brought up the containers from the street at the end of their work day!! Our project ran right up to the sudden cold/snow and L & R has promised to come back in the spring and make sure the sprinkler heads are all running appropriately, etc. All staff were easy to work with and very responsive to questions or concerns. We would highly recommend L & R

We needed a solution to get sump pump water from ruining our neighbor's driveway and while we were at it, get a water feature, a fire pit and give our front yard a facelift with stone edging and some new plants. Laura and Tony from ALD came over at the end of June, a few days after initial contact, walked through our backyard with us, asked questions and offered ideas. Two months later they gave us a beautiful plan of our whole back yard that was quite a bit over budget. We did not have a clear idea of the cost of all this work was before we started so that is partly on us. We asked for some changes in the plan that were well incorporated. We decided to split the job into phases to keep cost down. Communication could have been better, there were some "by line" items that were supposed to be priced separately that I never saw itemized, I asked for all cost to be kept at 50.000 only to find out later that the front yard was not included in that number and I did not see the final plan before the team showed up one day. Their team (mostly Eric and Ryan) did a fabulous job. They finished the work in about three and a half weeks with some rainy day interruptions. They ran into some unexpected delays but did a great job rolling with the punches and figuring things out. Everything came out great! They used a lot of our existing plants, rocks and lighting to keep the cost down. We have spent more time in our backyard in the last week then in the last two months! We love sitting on the patio by the waterfall and the whole family enjoys the fire pit. The whole team is professional, they know what they are doing and give the customer what they need as well as what they want

Last minute changes by CCS over handling of mechanical equipment in well room caused uncomfortable last minute changes to front step treatment. Their handling of this situation was extremely poor. Although the concrete work turned out well, the crew failed to cover front windows/shutters with poly and as a result they received a lot of concrete splatter. Because of the need to stay off the wet concrete, this was not noticed till days later and was left for us to clean. In addition, we discovered 12-15 pieces of large size flagstone buried under the dirt and seed of an area that needed to be reseeded. (The need to reseed was not the fault of CCS) We remain suspect that there are many more pieces of flagstone under the areas where their original seeding was successful

Angie with Designscape Plus created the design. She had really great ideas and really listened to what we wanted. She incorporated the things that we wanted to keep (swing set, shed) as well as creative solutions to clean up the existing area we already had. We were on a limited budget and could not move forward with bells and whistles (BBQ area, sitting bench, fire pit or any of the proposed plantings) but are very pleased to have a lovely new paver patio and bordered playground area with fresh mulch. Angie and Mike are professional and very skilled in their areas of expertise. While on-site Mike noted a drainage issue near our garage and fixed it for us so that it drains away from the house. the project took one week due to rain, however the workers always covered the work and left the area as clean as before they started. !We had a very difficult to diagnose problem with our waterfall feature in our landscaping. Dale and his staff worked diligently to find three places where our waterfall was losing substantial amounts of water. I felt from the moment I met Dale that he would find a way to solve the problem. They worked clean, efficiently and kept me updated on the project. When they finished, they buttoned up everything even better than it was before and it works perfectly! No more leaks! The price was fair for the work completed. These guys were great at finding out what was wrong with my water feature and making it right! Definitely would recommend them
