THEY FIRST MADE A MISTAKE WITH THE MEASURING. THE FLOOR WE PICKED WAS SPECIAL ORDER. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD TAKE TWO WEEKS. IT TOOK OVER THREE WEEKS AND ONCE IT ARRIVED THEY REFUSED TO DELIVER IT. MY HUSBAND PICKED UP THE FLOORING AND WE HAD TO CARRY IT INTO OUR HOUSE. THERE WERE 30 CASES OF VERY HEAVY FLOORING AND SEVERAL BOXES OF OTHER ITEMS. ONCE INSIDE WE REALIZED THAT WE HAD THE WRONG FLOOR. APPARENTLY THEY PLACED THE ORDER WRONG. THE FLOOR WAS REORDERED AND TOOK OVER TWO WEEKS TO ARRIVE. HEY DID THEN DELIVER IT TO US. OUR WHOLE KITCHEN PROJECT WAS ON HOLD UNTIL THE FLOOR WAS PUT IN. OUR KITCHEN WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE MORE THAN A MONTH SOONER IF NOT FOR HOME DEPOTS MISTAKES. WHEN YOU HAVE FOUR YOUNG KIDS AND YOU'RE LIVING WITHOUT A KITCHEN A MONTH IS A REALLY LONG TIME! THE COMPANY THAT HOME DEPOT SUBCONTRACTED TO INSTALL THE FLOOR DID A GOOD JOB. AFTER SPENDING OVER $5000 AND GOING THROUGH ALL THAT STRESS THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THE FLOOR WOULDN'T TAKE THEIR TRASH WITH THEM. TH

It went well. Initially, I was concerned because the installer was over an hour late and I had to get in to work. Tom was unable to get the installer on his cell phone and apologized for the issue. The house isn't easy to find however, he did eventually arrive and did a great job. No one thought I would be able to place new flooring in the bathroom due to the dip but the installer fixed the issue and the floor looks fabulous. Although the floor was put down in a relatively small space, it makes a world of difference and everyone who has come over absolutely loves it as do I. The quality of the work far outweighs the issue with punctuality

NEVER WORK WITH MEL'S !!!!!!! I hired Mel to refinish floors in one of our apartments. He sent his two sons to do the work a young guy and a minor (14 YEARS OLD!) The work was done so poorly that it looked worse then when they started the job. They even smashed up a row of tiles leading to the kitchen without my permission or knowledge. The work was so sloppy that sadly we were not able to save the floors. With only three days before our new renter moves I had to hire contractors who came today and installed a Pergo floor over what could have been 100 year old refinished floors. A contractor who sends out 14 years old to preform the work should not be on Angies List! Mel's Flooring was the worst contractor we have ever worked with

We were clueless on our options, but we did know that if were going to spend the money...we wanted something that made sense with our lifestyle and the open floor plan of our home. I found Tom on Angie's List, and called him. Over three weeks time, Tom made two trips to our home to explore our options. He showed up on time and spent about 5 hours total over the two visits teaching us about our options for different flooring, how they would "wear" after time, and how to maintain them. Tom also brought many samples and a fantastic color selection. The job to install was scheduled around our personal schedule. His team of installers (3 of them) showed up on time and were absolutely fantastic! They tore out the old flooring and hauled it away. They installed over 180 square yards of carpet (main level, stairs, and upstairs) along with 280 square feet of engineered hardwood in the kitchen. They were very neat and clean. In the end....the floors look great

I contacted the Better Busiess B I am on a fixed income and can't afford a new one at this time. I should not have to replace a floor with a 2 year time frame. The Flooring International of Woodbury owner told me good luck they would not do anything for me. They would not acknowledge SHAW report that the subfloor was not level when installed. They just kept on about my cats and my clealing the floor with a steam cleaner ruined my floor which I cleaned my PERGO Floor for 15 years prior with out any problems. The ownertold me at that time I could not clean the floors just wipe it with a damp cloth. I would never agreed to this floor that I could not clean. This job was not at all the professional manner that they were claiming to be. I had non proffesional installers that did not know anything about the floor they were installing otherwise they wouldn't hamerered the boards together to make them fit which damaged the boards that resulted in my total failure of the floor. People who are looking for professionals for a floor and installation should not use this flooring company. BEWARE OF THESE FLOORING SPECIALIS

I visited several stores and was impressed by the knowledge of the staff. Instead of telling me what they like and don't like about flooring they gave me the pro's and con's about each product in an unbiased manner (other stores kept steering me toward pergo for some reason). Everything went well with the install, it happened on time, and there were no surprises. The showroom has more samples than big box retailers

Never mind that the owner of Floors of Distinction is my next door neighbor. Or that others in our townhouse association also have used Floors of Distinction. I worked with Richard and crew. This was two rooms plus a hallway in our walk-out basement. We already had Pergo on 1/2 the floor. Floors of Distinction worked with me to discover a complementary match. Visited the store. Huge showroom and product line. Staff is pure professionals who can offer--if you ask--great advice. I ended up with something completely different from what I thought I wanted. HORRIBLE FROM THE BEGINNING. PRO FLOOR CREW ARRIVED, WAS NASTY ABOUT THE JOB (WHICH HAD BEEN MISBID, BUT WAS NOT OUR FAULT), INSULTED PERGO AS A PRODUCT AND LEFT. THE PROFLOOR REP, NATE, TOLD US THEY COULD STILL DO THE PROJECT BUT WOULD NEED TO DO ADDITIONAL PREP. HE THEN SENT TOTALLY UNKNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE OUT TO MESS WITH THE PROJECT. KEPT TELLING US THAT HE WOULD DO SOMETHING BETTER NEXT TIME AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. AFTER 10 DAYS OF THIS WE FIRED HIM AND HE TRIED TO CHARGE US $600 FOR NOTHING BUT MINIMAL PREP WORK. WITH HOME DEPOTS HELP WE GOT IT DOWN TO $300, WHICH WAS STILL A TOTAL RIP OFF

The price was within our budget, all message promptly returned, they were on time, polite, and were very creative at resolving some floor vent quirks of our pre-code home construction. I needed the carpet removed and laminate flooring put in to match some other laminate flooring in the house. Victor was very responsive and worked with both myself and the renter to find the right flooring and to arrange agreeable times for the work to be done. When I bought my house I noticed some of the bricks on my chimney were worn and falling apart. After a couple of years of ownership I decided to do something about it and contacted multiple companies for estimates. Out of all of the bids I received, Guardian's bid was the most thorough, reasonably priced, and timely. I was especially impressed with all of the pictures of the issues with my chimney, as well as a picture of the brick that would be used in the rebuild. I was also impressed with the secondary document I received that explained exactly what all of the proposed work would entail and why it was important. When I accepted the bid I was contacted right away and I was able to get the work scheduled in a week. The crew arrived within the window told to me and quickly got to work. They were finished in the early afternoon and the finished work looks amazing

They masterfully installed gorgeous tile floors, granite counters (custom built around a raised coffee cupboard), new windows, new cupboards, new appliances, and a full pantry. We receive many compliments on the results, but better - it works just the way we wanted it to. On Time guarantees their work so even now, if something isn't right after being used (a shelf comes off a hinge, etc.), a quick call and they are right over to make it right. Our experience with Graley Concrete was very good. Especially working with co-owner Trevor Lindstrom. All through the project, from start to finish he was upfront, patience and open to all of our questions concerns and ideas. During our initial contact Trevor walked us through what our project would entail. During his measuring for the estimate he was very courteous and respectful of our home. We obtained three estimates for these jobs (one of which was an award winning company) and Graley's was comparable but not the cheapest. We chose Graley because Trevor was the most knowledgable and enthusiastic. He would readily contact and educate us. For the stamped concrete work there were many example of Graley's work in the area. But the interior stained concrete floor viewing was limited to photos until Trevor offered to let us come to his home, where he had stained his own floor. We took a ride over and checked out his work. The floor was beautiful and as a bonus we were able to meet his wonderful family.They were booked out approx two weeks but on the day promised the crew showed up. They were efficient and professional. Trevor was there during the whole process. He did the interior floor staining himself and as he was applying the stains to the floor he would call my wife down to make sure the color was to her liking. And before he sealed the floor he had her come down to look it over so she had a final opportunity to make changes. Both jobs were completed in two days. Although Trevor came back approx 3 weeks later after the patio cured to clean and seal it. The cost was right at the estimate, there were no hidden or additional charges. Both the floor and the patio turned out wonderful. The artistic work of both projects will enhance the value and beauty of our home for years to come. We highly recommend Graley Concrete Construction

In a word...fabulous! I have worked with Jae sine we met for an initial consult in June and continue to work together as we wrap up a few "extras" i came up with along the way. She is a true professional but also has a great sense of humor (that I truly appreciate!) She always presented several options for me based on the input I had provided and was consistently right on in the ways things turned out. I love that she had me consider things that were not in my original thoughts but never pushed me toward anything I wasn't totally comfortable with, In the end I have all things that I truly feel compliment my home and give me the look/feeling I was looking for. I had friends that had worked with designers before and were told what to do, so I was skeptical but oh so happy I made that first appointment with Jae. Where do I begin on how great of a job Chad and his crew did?!?! I can't say enough positive things to reflect on how great of an experience this was. We had sold our condo, and we were moving into our first home. A home that had great bones, but needed a face lift. It had been well kept, but not updated since it was built in 1961. The primary focus of the rehab was to update a very outdated kitchen and dining room. It is incredible what they were able to do with the space. It looks like something straight out of a magazine. Chad helped us get an idea of what would look good, and what goes together. He was also able to make it a fun experience for us. He was so on top of everything that we had little to no doubt that our project was going to be done perfectly. He even completed ahead of schedule. Chad told us he was going to do as many projects as possible with the money we had available. This is where he far exceeded our expectations. We had hoped to get one or two things, but when it was all said and done he completed nearly the entire list. We have some more upcoming projects down the road and Chad will be getting that business for sure and we could not recommend him enough to anyone else looking to do a remodel of any size

Based on my experience with my bathroom, I hired them to install flooring in my split level entryway and main floor. It also turned out wonderful. Aleksey and his team are so professional!
