Mr. How Do You Do It

Over the last 5 years Craftsman Choice worked with us to replace our roof, all of our windows (42) and all of our doors. We had such a positive experience with the roof, when it came time to do our windows and doors, they won our business. They even repaired an issue from our siding vendor as that company stop responding immediately after installation. Craftsman Choice, to this day. responds. There are very few roofing, window, door, and siding folks that will respond once they are paid, but Craftsman Choice continues to respond. I also have to speak highly about the salesperson, the project managers, and the craftsman that we experienced over this time frame. All performed highly, were great to work with, accommodating, knowledgeable, and made the projects easy. Sales was upfront, transparent, patient, and honest. Project managers were responsive, gave the bad news fast if there was any, and worked with us to get the job done to our satisfaction. The craftsman working for Craftsman Choice are all true craftsmen; and I do not use that term lightly. They have been there, done that, and that experience shown through thoroughly in each job performed. There will always be issues, but how Craftsman Choice chooses to deal with the issues makes them stand out. I have referred them to many coworkers and friends and have had no regrets in making a recommendation. I am not an employee; I do not own stock in Craftsman Choice, but the reason I write this is when someone performs poorly, I speak up. And, when someone does a good job, I like to make it known. FYI the $90k I mentioned in this was over three different jobs and several years. Would I go back to a poor company? No, I would not. I went back to Craftsman Choice twice

The patio door was brought on site the day of the install. Unfortunately, the door and the door casing were two different colors. Since the existing door had already been removed, they installed the door in a temporary fashion that would work and properly insulated it. Within 2 weeks, the new door had been sent. They immediately came out, removed the first door, and installed the correct door. All finish trim was installed (upgraded trim was provided at no charge due to the inconvenience). The final product looks and works great. I will definitely use this company again for other window replacements

The men who did the work did an excellent job. They removed the doors without any problems and replaced the molding and we did the staining of the doors and molding. It was pretty straight forward. They hauled away the old doors and all of the scraps and the doors are now sliding very smoothly.

Patio Door Guys
I hired The Patio Door Guys to install a new patio door for me ( a sliding door, 5 by 7 feet with sliding screen door). I had hired them previously to install a new front door, and I was so happy with it I had them come back to do the patio door. They came promptly and did an excellent job. It turned out my old patio door had been very unlevel, so they leveled the opening before putting in the new door. They put new siding around the new patio door on the outside, and put new trim on the inside around the door. The trim looks like a luxury to me, since the old door did not even have inside trim. The new door is an Alside brand door, and it is clearly very good quality. It slides nice and smooth and the lock works well. It takes up much more width than the "builder grade" door I had before, so I know it will have good insulation properties in the winter. It is designed to not collect so much dirt in the bottom track of the door. The screen door also has a lock. Everything was installed perfectly and they took the old door to dispose of it. The owner of the company was there on the job, supervising and working along with two other carpenters. The communication with me was very good before, during and after the installation. Tom even did some trim work and floor work in another area of my condo at no charge, just as an extra to help me out. Two other people in my condo complex have already asked about my new door, so I recommended The Patio Door Guys since I think they do such great work, and at a reasonable price. I would definitely hire them again for any patio door, outside door or window work in the future

On 12/9/2009 Holt provided an estimate for the steel door, steel frame, deadbolt and 3 hinges including installation. The estimate of $1400 was exactly what I paid after the door was installed on or about 1/20/2010. Although I had to wait about 6 weeks for the steel door to be specially made, the door is of very good quality and Holt installed it perfectly. For another $100 a high quality deadbolt was installed on my front door. I considered the total cost well worth it, especially since the steel door had to be specially ordered

Our garage door failed one afternoon, the crew made it out the following afternoon. Unfortunately, the motor, and both springs needed to be replaced. They had use functional within a couple hours and did not need to get involved except to key in a security code. Would recommend.

All Seasons Garage Door Company was great to work with. We got a Costco deal through them and saved $127.00 on the project. Initially they noticed one of our panels was dented upon installation so they notified me that they would reorder it and call when it is in. After they left I also noticed they installed the wrong style of door panel windows we ordered. I called them about that and they readily agreed to fix that problem as well. They came today and fix those two problems. They gave us good information on maintenance of the door including lubrication of the garage door spring and rollers bi-annually. They were easy to work with and their prices are competitive, perhaps a little below competitors

When leaving for work, discovered garage door wouldn't stay closed. When I tried to close it, it eventually got stick in a half closed position and wasn't able to close it manually. We contacted a few other service providers and Steve's company had the best price and was available to com out the same day to make the repair. Steve showed up on time (and within an hour's notice) and fixed the problem quickly. While he was here, we asked him about a keypad that wasn't working and he fixed that as well at no additional cost. I highly recommend Steve's company to others. He was on time, professional, responsive and he didn't charge more than his quote

The installation of the front entry door with one install crew went without a hitch. The installation of the patio door went well, except the install crew was not as professional as the install crew that installed the front entry door.
