Please note that this company also goes by the name Minnesota Metal Exteriors. Terrible service, incompetent and disrespectful staff. They lie and have failed to complete any work after 4plus months of contract. They left our house to be ruined all winter in Minnesota. Owner made misogynistic comments to female home owner. Wife of company owner offered to let us out of our contract then when we agreed they threatened lawyers and to take our deposit. No communication ever initiated by company. We are still waiting for any of our requests to be fulfilled. We have received apologies from their suppliers for their behavior and lack of service. The company continues to hold us in our contract. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and plan to tell everyone about their behavior and report them to BBB. Pictured below: the materials they put in our yard months ago and then asked my husband to install them or to ask our reliable general contractor to come back and do it for them ( even though this is what metal exteriors promised to have done two weeks after contract in Nov) picture take today April 2n

To sum it up, I was given an astronomical price for the metal roofing I desired.. then was treated to a long list of discounts and other wheelin and dealing until the price came down to....low and behold...HALF of the original estimate. I had not gotten any other bids yet and so I called Sela and Quarve roofers, who, both came straight off the board with me and made honest bids that required no wheelin and dealin. Custom remodelers Inc.'s final bid was in the ball park, but after quoting me double that and making me think they were really bending over backwards to bring that price down (where it should have been to start with) I sorta lost faith in their abilities. I did not go with them, but was treated promptly and respectfully by the company. The sales man was a nice person and was able to get me financing on the spot, and spent a lot of time with me discussing things. In the end, though, I cancelled the contract. I think if this company stopped with the sales antics, they might have had my business

This was a mixed experience. I'm hoping to get metal roofing for my new house, and I'm pretty sure I made this clear to Gene. He advised against metal and instead sent me a bid for re-shingling. The bid is /very good/, so if I opt for shingling I will probably hire him. But I'm a bit baffled at his refusal to give me a bid for metal roofing, as I believe he has installed it in the past

Lindus Construction
The installation occurred in January of 2012, during a warmer than normal period and the crew doing the work was professional and very courteous. the crew consisted of many of the companies supervisors and the work performed was great. The metal roof was installed to replace an existing shingle roof, which had numerous ice dam problems including water leakage into the house. The metal roof solved these problems and allows confidence that problems will not occur in the future during the winters. The Leaf Guard gutters work well also

They worked with me very closely on selecting the roofing product and choosing from the options. Tracy and Bill both came out to meet me initially and go over the project and answer questions. Then I mostly talked with Tracy about the project. She arranged for numerous samples of metal roofing to be delivered to my door. We negotiated on doing gutters and also cutting a hole in the roof for an exhaust fan and they were great about all of that. They were hard to pin down on the timing and the project ended up being later in the fall than initially projected. In some ways, this was a blessing in disguise as I have gardens next to the house that were dormant by November, so I didn't have to worry about plants getting trampled. Once Bill and the crew arrived, they did a great job. They communicated daily with me, were very professional, finished it when they said they would, cleaned up nicely, etc. The roof looks great and the experience was very positive

Lindus Construction is a company who excels at professionalism, master craftsmanship, expert customer service, employee loyalty, and honesty. Our steel roof was damaged in a storm by fallen trees. Cory, our Lindus salesman was out to assess the damage and provide an estimate. Because we needed our entire roof replaced, he offered to come back when the insurance adjustor would be there to ensure the adjustor understood the extent of the damage. Cory did come back, and the adjustor agreed to the recommendation of a full roof replacement, soffits, and fascia. Amy scheduled our job, and kept us advised of any changes that we may incur due to weather, etc. She ordered the dumpster needed for the job, and ensured it was there when the job started. Nathan and his crew were at our house early on the day they were scheduled to start, and worked non-stop. They removed the old roof and had the new one on the first day. They finished up by noon the second day, had everything cleaned up, and were heading out soon after. We really appreciated that Lindus took care of everything we needed for the insurance company, ordered the dumpster and had it removed, got the permit, and even took care of the final inspection. Cory, Amy, and Nathan and his crew could not have been better. They all made us feel like we were their most important customer. It?s was so refreshing to work with a company we could completely trust. They can be proud of the relationships they build with their customers, and for providing the highest quality results. We are already making plans for our next project with Lindus Construction

We live in a 100 year old house. The rafters in our original roof broke and we had a mess. We wanted to repair the structure and re-roof with metal because it's lighter. I went around our neighborhood and talked to 5 neighbors that had metals roofs and eventually landed on Northrup. However, it didn't go well. They did the repair right away, but it sat there, naked, for weeks. I had to hound them - I think because they were waiting on a subcontractor maybe. Finally, they came and did it on a weekend. Fast forward one year - some of the trim didn't get done near the dormer and the little roof over the front door. Mark White came out and fixed it immediately. Fast forward another year, discovered the top-level bathroom fan didn't get vented. HOWEVER!!!! Mark White busted his butt to make it right. The employee that managed the project is no longer there, but Mark really worked at making sure we were happy. I have to give Mark credit for tolerating my nagging and being not-so-happy with all the issues, yet making sure everything was corrected. The work and repairs were top shelf once everything got done. I'm not sure I would hire again after all this. I suspect it had something to do with the previous employee. Maybe there are new project managers now that are more on top of things

Faced with an inspection report and addendum to purchase agreement for installation of flashing on our garage roof, my husband called 10 companies who said they were too busy with all the recent storms. I made one call to William who said he could have a gentleman come out to look at what we needed that evening. He called to clarify what was required because there was flashing already installed and after reading over the purchase agreement, realized it was the metal kick plate. He informed me there was a minimum charge and they would be able to complete the work prior to our deadline. All without us even needing to be home which was a huge relief! Thank you for taking care of us!

I called them and scheduled an appointment. They came and did the roof inspection and suggest me to replace the roof. They said the roof must be replaced before the winter and come up with an estimate around $8500(30 years architecture shingles) for the entire roof which is about 2500 sqft. I know my roof needs to be replaced soon, but not so sure about the urgency, so I ended up get two other roofing company to inspect the roof. They also think the roof should be replaced but can certainly wait till next year. One company give an estimate of more than $9000 to repalce the roof, the other is only $6700 with also the 30 years architecture shingles. I ended up wait one more year and have the roof replaced with the company which has the lowest bids but also have a A rating at angieslist

Matt came out to the house on a Saturday morning, was very detailed in his review with me of the work they would do and his price was the most competitive. I aslo felt he was very honest on questions/concerns I had and communicated well thru the whole process. The crew started early in the morning for fall mn weather and did a great job protecting the deck, landscaping etc around the house and garage. The crew completed the house and garage in one day, it looks great and they did a great job cleaning up. Mike came by toward the end to make sure the job was going well and he updated me on the timing of the next installer the following day. Because of a job overrun that was delayed one day but was communicated and expected. The second phase of wrapping windows and fascia and soffits on garage in the end looks great, unfortunately, the wrong material was provided initially, since I caught it early it ended up less work for the company and Mike assured me the product I wanted is what I should get and two windows were redone. I would highly recommend the company and others in my neighborhood (NE mpls) have used and I have already told others

The shingle roof on our one story house slops down in the back and attaches to a flat membrane roof that covers a large expansion. Around the edge of the expansion there is a four foot slopping shingle roof that comes down, covers the soffit and ends in a copper gutter. On top of this flat roof is perched a 9 x 15 skylight. After buying this house in September 2000, the owner/remodeler gave my wife and me the house keys and mumbled something like "I could not quite figure out what to do about the ice problem." Obviously, after every snowfall it is only a couple of hours and the snow on the skylight melts and looks for somewhere to freeze. After 14 years, 250 feet of heated cable, and many hours on the roof, the roof started leaking between the original house and the membrane roof. So, a year ago I picked out what I thought were the three highest ranked roofers I could find on Angie's List. I gave roofers the same criteria. While my wife insisted the skylight was not negotiable, everything else was. Jim from Craftsmen came out to the house. I told Jim what I had told the others. I had considered a metal roof and also taking off the gutters. I said that I did not want to invest more money in this project than was necessary, but I wanted to be able to leave for periods during the winter and never worry about water in the house. I remember asking Jim "What would you do if this were your house and you were 73 years old?" Jim's solution was innovative. He took off the gutters around the flat roof and replaced the 4 feet of shingles above with steel roofing. And he treated the 15 year old membrane roof with a silicone treatment (GacoRoof) that has a 50 year warranty. Plus, he moved the junction between the treated membrane and the new asphalt roof higher, so that melted water would not sit on a seam. He suggested a line of shingles that was algae resistant (that had been a problem). Jim installed the steel roofing himself. The cost of this roof was essentially the same as the other quotes we had received. The project was completed while we were out of town. When we returned we sent Craftsman the balance due. A week or so later, I was in the yard looking at the copper gutters that were now stacked up in the back. It occurred to me that instead of trying to find someone who wanted to buy them as is, I should just cut them up and sell them to a scrap metal yard. As if on cue, Jim happened to drive up as a follow up call to see if we liked the finished roof. I said we liked the roof but I was now concerned about what to do with the gutters. I was thinking of renting a reciprocating saw. Jim went out to his truck, got his saw, and in less than an hour short gutter sections were in a neat stack. I knew there would be some problems created by taking off the gutters. I will probably put up a gutter section above the back door and another section over the garbage and recycle bins. We are very happy with this roof

Dean took our call at 10:00 Monday evening and was out to our home around 10:00 Tuesday morning. He identified the source of the leak and used clear caulk to repair it. Without our even asking, he also checked and reinforced other potential leak areas around the remaining roof vents and did a roof inspection. In the 48 hours after the repair, we had over 1 inch of rain and the repair held. There was no more leaking around the exhaust fan vent or anywhere else on our roof

I choose Rick's Roofing because they were rated highly on Angies list and other leading consumer site and they did not disappoint. Rick came out and actually got on the roof before giving an in depth quote. I have a barn style roof with a steep pitch and metal on the edges. He answered all my questions and explained all options in detail before we decided to go ahead. Fast forward to Roofing Day. Cory, the project manager, and his crew were superb, keeping me informed on the process and delivering great results quickly. They did such a good job cleaning that I didn't even find a nail in my yard. They even cleaned my gutters! The job was finished on budget and they did not expect final payment until I was completely satisfied and the city inspector signed off on the project. They also worked with the inspector and answered all of his questions. The inspector was impressed with the work as well and he has a reputation around the neighborhood for being a stickler for the rules and quality. I have hired numerous contractors over the years for projects large and small and Rick's Roofing is the best of the bunch. I would hire these guys again in a second

Les Jones Roofing provided excellent service throughout process of totally replacing our flat roof - site investigation, bid submission, preparation of contract, permit application, and execution of work. Following our initial contact Les Jones Roofing installed a temporary patch to worst area of roof without charge and without commitment to use them for roof replacement. They recommended we have the work done over the winter rather than waiting until Spring. They chose a mild weather week and proceeded from start to finish without interruption. A highly skilled crew performed the work. The site was kept clean at all times. We are pleased with the outcome and glad we chose Les Jones Roofing for our project

Quarve provided an estimate for metal roofing. The sales guy was very prompt, thorough, professional. I thought he probably knew what he was talking about, even though he was a young guy. However, he bid a lot more bells and whistles for the exact same product for which I had received two other bids. I checked with the lowest bidder to see if they thought I'd need these other features, because I would have been willing to pay more for them (even with the lowest bidder). But the low bidder said those features were just not necessary. So ultimately I did not go with Quarve because 1)their bid was higher and 2) because they wanted to sell me features I probably didn't need. I'd contact them again though, for other work.
