Excellent!!! I had a minor freeze last December in our Jacuzzi J-365 but was able to drain it and keep things warm for the rest of the winter. I opened it up this summer and repaired a leaky hose joint but still had an error code on the display. I had trouble with the local folks we bought it from. They were either not interested or very slow to respond. After 9 months I finally found Spa Squad via Angie's List. Jim asked about the failure and what the current error code was. He was here in maybe 3 days to replace the circulation pump which probably caused the initial failure. It's not easy because we had the deck built around our tub but Jim took it all in stride and had it running in less than an hour. We're excited to maybe be in it tonight!!

Spa Squad was great ? Our outdoor hot tub quit working during a cold snap in Minnesota in January. I called Spa Squad and Jim told me what I needed to do to keep it warm until they could get there and even followed up to make sure we were able to get a heather in the panel. When he showed up he was very nice and professional and fixed the problem the first time and followed up the next day to make sure everything was good. Will recommend and we will now always use this company for any spa needs!

I use Spa Squad for everything I need with my hot tub, including winterization, spring opening, repairs and replacement parts. My hot tub is very old and has had some recent repairs needed, and Spa Squad took care of everything in a timely, responsive, and reasonably priced manner. They provide excellent, responsive service for everything I've needed. When they winterized the hot tub, they tarped it in a manner that ensured there wouldn't be any leakage. Spa Squad managed to fix a hot tub that had stumped several other repair companies, including the manufacturers own repair representatives. I'd had several repairers out to look at it but all others had said I had to have the unit drained and removed from the built-in deck, which meant it had sat unused for quite awhile. By chance, I called Spa Squad, due to the good reviews here, and Jim was able to do the work with the tub in place. It was quite a challenge, and it took him some time to find all the problems but it's back working even better than when first installed. Jim was very thorough and really took his time to make sure everything worked and all leaks were fixed. He went above and beyond to get this job done and we couldn't be more grateful. His costs were very reasonable, especially as I didn't have to have the tub hauled out and reinstalled. Highly recommend Spa Squad

I had an outdoor Jacuzzi spa heater pump go out. I had about 48 hours to try to get it fixed before the water would freeze and create more of a mess for me. It was Saturday morning and most places were closed or would not come out till late Monday. I called Spa Squad and talked to James the owner. I told him of the situation and he said, "let me see what I can do." James rearranged his schedule and was out within two hours. The pump was fixed quick and no more worries. We were leery about the price of service - $148 for 1st hour and $48 per 1/2 hour after that plus parts. However, it was well worth it. Steve was very knowledgeable, gave options and great advice. We had purchased a used hot tub (Hot Springs 6 person spa) off the web. We had looked at it and were able to try it at the home we bought it at and were confident it was in good working order. Shortly after we got it up and running at home, we noticed the patio was always wet under the hot tub in one corner which over a few weeks spread to 2 full sides of the hot tub. We were unable to get the skirting off without wrecking it and could not access the underbody of the hot tub to even know where to begin. Steve was quite familiar with this brand and model and advised us it was most likely leaking from the Moto Massager Jet, and that this tub is solid foam underneath so the leak likely saturated the foam. He told us the areas that generally leak and what to look for as well as things we could try on our own, such as new seals. He carefully removed the skirting which was glued on - no screws, and carved out some foam to expose the jet plumbing which was leaking pretty good. He had the correct parts with him, replaced the joint, and glued it together. He carefully replaced the skirting with screws this time and advised us we may continue to see moisture for several days as the foam was likely saturated. The back corner is dry as a bone now, but still having a small leak at the front. He had advised that we fix the main leak and wait to see if there was still a problem before we tear into the rest of the skirting and foam. He will be coming out this next week to tackle the smaller leak. I have every confidence they will take care of us. Repeat visits for similar connected to 1st visit are billed at $48 per 1/2 hour. He also gave advice on chemical and filter maintenance which was greatly appreciated as new spa owners. He estimated the time to fix it at an hour and a half, it ended up being 2 hours which I fell was reasonable. Parts were reasonable. Thanks Steve

He showed up within a few minutes of the scheduled appointment. The electrical issue turned out to be simply a switch in the fuse box that appeared to be on, but was not clicked fully into the on position. It would have been great if we had figured out this glitch while he was here, so that we could have worked through the initial set up of the hot tub chemistry together. The spa cover is beautiful and fits perfectly. The new chemistry kit, as well as the telephone support have been very helpful

I moved into a house with an and quot;as isand quot; hot tub that hadn't been used in several years. I was hoping it would work, but based on how it looked was fairly sure there would be something wrong with it. There was really gross dirty water in the bottom of the tub that had leaked in throughout the years and it was frozen in the bottom of the tub. Jim came out the first time to thaw the tub and came back several days later to clean it. They did an AMAZING job cleaning the tub, I didn't think it would ever look that good based on it's prior condition. They filled the tub and it was working order, a miracle. I had guests coming the weekend and Jim worked around my schedule to get back and put them chemicals in/teach me how to maintain the tub. The tub was working great but seemed to be leaking water. I let Jim know and he came the next day and found a hose just needed tightening. Overall a great experience. I will continue to use Spa Squad for all my hot tub needs

I was having intermittent problems with my spa, and after several bad experiences with another repair company, I contacted McFarland. I found that the previous owners of my home had used McFarland in the past, and that Paul Webb, the service tech, had actually worked on my spa. I want to recognize Paul not only for the quality and cleanliness of the work that was performed, but most importantly for his excellent communication. I was not home at the time of the service call. Paul called me immediately upon arriving at the site to ask a few questions about my spa's problems, and to discuss possible solutions. He then called again near the completion of the work, and explained exactly what he had repaired, and gave great detail about how and why it would fix the problem. In short, I will never let anyone other than Paul Webb work on my spa again. Please pass along my great thanks, and my confidence in him and your company

The assembly of their product uses no glue and the rays are extremely powerful with no EMF (electromagnetic field). The quality is top-notch and leaps and bounds of anything in the market today. We recently purchased a hot tub from PPS. We got it up and running and it was great for a few weeks. Using it only 4-5 times with our two daughters. Then the hot tub started to lose water (about a foot in a week and a half) so we called the service department. I am new to owning a spa and do not know what I am doing when it comes to maintenance, but I am trying my best to learn. That being said, I asked several times to be there when the service technician came out. I wanted to be there so that I could understand what was going wrong and how to fix it in the future - if able. Especially since it cost me almost $200 just for the service department to come out and look at the spa. My initial call to the service department was on a Monday. When I hadn’t heard back from them about scheduling by Wednesday I made a follow up call. I was contacted on Wednesday via text message and told they would try to be out to our house the following morning (Thursday). I said that wouldn’t work for me as I would be out of the house until the afternoon and I would like to be there when they come. I then asked if they could come out in the afternoon on Thursday or anytime on Friday. I was told they don’t offer service time requests, they come when they are in the area. I replied that I was a paying customer, who is asking to be there when they come out because I want to know what is going on with our very expensive brand new spa and what to do to fix it. I made it VERY clear that I wanted to be there when the service technician came out and that I wanted a heads up as to about when they would be there - to ensure that I would be home. They came out with zero warning. No phone call, no text message, no email. No heads up. After I said several times to please let me know so I can be sure to be there. Now I have NO idea how to fix this issue if it comes up again and will have to pay another $200 for them to come out and tighten a valve of some sort. When I called to speak to the manager of customer service department Jesse Peterson called me back. The same person I spoke to earlier in the week and the same person who texted me the day before. He was EXTREMELY rude and defensive- because he knew I had asked several times to be there and for a heads up before the technician came out. (Which is standard procedure for most companies!) However I received no warning as to when someone would come out and therefore missed the technician and thus missing the opportunity to understand what was going wrong with our spa. He tried to blame me for not being there, he said it wasn’t a big deal and that the issue with the spa shouldn’t happen again. I was very upset that I was given no warning and said I would have to leave a negative review to which he became extremely defensive and clearly upset with me. I’m still not sure if he is a manager or not, but the lack of communication and the aggression he showed me over the phone shows a total lack of customer service on his part

I used them because my neighbors had used them and were pleased with the service. I had just received an old/used hottub and did not know anything about them. One pipe was broken. When I called I specifically said that I was willing to pay for a service call for one small pvc pipe fix because I was also hoping for information and instruction on how the tub worked and what I needed to do. I was assured the man coming out would happily give me information and that he loved to teach. He came and repaired the pipe but when I asked for information he gave me a web site. He would not explain how the tub worked, look at the chemicals I had been given, or give me any information on what I was going to need to do. I also needed a new cover made and asked if he was able to assist with the measuring and ordering of that but I was told they would not help with that but that I could probably find a company on the web that could make my cover. I was paying for help and information and had been very clear on that request. What I got was 5 inches of pvc pipe fixed for $135
