I bought two hours of labor for $99 from Jim last summer. He came by before I purchased the deal and said what he thought he could do. It took ma a long time to find my cooktop. Jim got bus with other Angie's List jobs and at one point, sent out a note to those of us still hanging and apologized. But in my case, it was my own doing. When I finally needed to install the gas line Jim was very responsive. He worked fast and explained everything he was doing, and why. He finished the job in two hours, so all I had to pay for (beyond the deal) was parts. I told Jim I'd have him back later to do some bathroom plumbing

Dana Hoagland Plumbing Inc
First off, Kathy rocks! She was super helpful in scheduling and communicating. Dana and Luke came to our home on three different occasions to fix some plumbing, run a gas line and install a gas cooktop. The quality of the work was excellent! Dana went above and beyond with some tricky cabinet modifications to make things work. You'd never know anything was changed. Highly recommend these folks as they should be the rule not the exception to excellent service! Look forward to dealing with them again

Steve was friendly and very responsive over the entire project. On his return trip to complete appliance install he insisted he be paid before he left. Since he had been so great to work with I settled up. After he left I noticed the dishwasher toe kick hadn't been installed. It was it the kitchen during his service but no where to be found when he left. I've tried calling several times to inquire but he won't return my calls. Additionally he was supposed to replace an old shut off at our water heater but that hadn't been completed either

Kok was great. As a new homeowner, I was a little nervous going with a solo operation and not a regular plumbing firm, but the reviews here were so solid I gave it a try. Happy I did. Kok stopped by the Friday before to look over the job, gave an estimate, and returned Monday to work. He made multiple trips to the store to get the necessary parts, but charges no mark up on supplies (he shows you the receipt to make this clear). Kok was great to work with; a very pleasant guy. Honored Angie's List coupon as well. I'll be using him again for any plumbing/gas needs

Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning
I was installing a new fence, using a contractor found on Angie's List, and they severed my gas line that runs to my gas grill. They did partial due dillegence and had Gopher One come mark where all utilites were. Unfortunately the fence company did not mark where they would be digging, therefore the gas line was not marked. They would not take responsibility for severing the gas line, which left me scrambling for what to do. I had to call Centerpoint out asap, to make sure all was ok. Well Centerpoint also would not take responsibilty for their error in not marking there was a gas line and Red Tagged my home, they shut off the gas completely. I had yet to use Pronto for any services, but had them out for an estimate for an ac unit once before. So my first call was to them. I spoke with Katie, I believe, in the office and she was so nice and helpful, and understood my frustation with my contractor. By the end of the call I had Pronto scheduled for the next day. Matt came out and was very kind in his explanation of the full cost, even though I was beyond frustrated that I had to put so much money that was unexpected. I asked how much it would be to fix the line to my grill and he suggested that we go another route instead of having the line trenched in the yard. He was unable to do it that day, understandable, but capped off the line and turned the gas back on to my home. He scheduled another date to come out to do the line. The following week Matt and Mike arrived and within 1 hour had my gas grill back up and running. They were friendly, knowledgable and told me they would be back later that night for a hot steak off the grill! While I was upset with the fact that I needed to have to use Pronto and their services, I cannot imagine using anyone else. They are go above and beyond in their customer services as well as the work they do

Weld & Sons Plumbing
We just needed to get some of our gas plumbing up to code - installing a drip T and properly supporting the gas line to our dryer. So it was not a very big job at all. Weld and Sons was among the cheapest out there. They gave me a very accurate estimate on the phone. The lady I spoke to on the phone was a little unsure of what exactly we needed done so she transferred my call to the owner to give me an accurate estimate. This showed me that they really care about their customers' needs. I called on a Friday afternoon and they were here first thing Tuesday morning. Showed up right when they said they would. Dan was very nice, worked quickly, did exactly what we asked, and showed me his work when he finished. I would highly recommend using them

I discovered a puddle on the cement slab beneath my at-least-26-year-old hot water heater in the evening. Next morning, I called a plumber recommended by the company that put in my furnace, but soonest they could do it was in 3 days. Based on Angie's list reviews, I then called Hessian Plumbing, talked with Mike, who was very professional and pleasant on the phone. He gave me an estimate that was a few hundred dollars less than the plumber who could do it in a few days, for the same brand water heater. John was able to come to my house that same afternoon, to arrive between 1 and 2. He arrived promptly at 1 PM and was gone by 3:30 PM, leaving me a new water heater. John was very self sufficient, and I felt completely comfortable to let him work in the utility roo

I have used Aaron on several occasions fixing an array of plumbing problems in an older home in Como Park. He has always been prompt in returning calls and has been able to fit me in on fairly short notice. He always arrived on time and ready to take on any kind of plumbing project. Aaron is very helpful in explaining the work required and the amount of time the project will take to complete. They are friendly, honest, happy to deal with all my wacko requests (like a fan in the laundry room). I always get several bids and these guys consistently come in on target or slightly better than the competition and they do a great job with complex projects. These guys aren't like other contractors who whine and moan about where you want stuff, they just make it happen

Geno did a great job. He helped me lay out the bathroom and gave me good ideas on other aspects that I'm doing myself. He is a really hard worker and a really good guy. He hammered up the floor removed concrete, rocks and debris to get the drain lines installed. He ran the supply lines, valves and vents really fast. Geno had to do the job in many stages because of inspections and framing work that I was doing. We initially planned on doing a shower but decided to put in a free standing tube which impacted the drains. Geno busted the floor up again to make the needed changes for code compliance really quickly. This is the third project Geno has done at my house. In previous projects he removed all very old piping and replaced with PEX which essentially doubled the water pressure throughout the house. He removed lead pipe vent lines and replaced my hot water heater. He did a great job on every project. His prices were very fair and works really fast. Several of my friends at work also use Geno and everyone has been very positive about his work

I called to report leaking plumbing under the kitchen sink which was originally installed by this plumbing company 3 years ago. I asked for an appointment and was told a plumber would be out that same day. I was not told what their charges were, nor did I expect a bill because, as previously stated, this company installed all the sink plumbing. The plumber did come promptly, diagnosed and repaired the problem very quickly, probably within 15 minutes. I asked how much I would be charged and was told I would be invoiced if there would be any charge at all. A week later, I received the bill. I called the company to get a break-down of the charges and was told $165 was the and quot;trip charge.and quot; I explained again that this job was previously done by their company and that a stripped tail nut could not have been our fault (we do not own a wrench and could not have caused the nut to be stripped). I asked them to stand behind their work and they refused, saying the job was now 3 years old and they cannot guarantee their work that long.This was deeply disappointing because I've had Roto Rooter out to do work that's now been in place over 10 years with no issues

I had a very mixed experience with this company. They were initially very responsive during the original quote process and when it came to booking the service. The technicians on site were/are worth their weight in gold, however the rest of the process wasn?t as smooth. They were unable to provide me with a final bill when the repair was done so I felt a bit in the dark about how close it came to the original estimate. I then had to contact the company multiple times to receive the bill ? it came two weeks later. At that time, the charge was twice what the original estimate came in at. I understand that a permit had to be pulled, materials were used, etc. so the cost would come in higher, however the labor took longer than originally expected. That said, I think very highly of the service men so was more than OK with it, but wanted a better understanding of why that was the case with what was expected to be a fairly straightforward job. I asked for an explanation when the bill was sent and still haven?t heard back. I?m tired of chasing the company down so am paying the bill and calling it done. While the service technicians are amazing I likely wouldn?t use again because the rest of the experience with the company has been less than ideal. Disappointed.
