This job involved removing old carpeting that had been placed on top of an old asbestos-containing, linoleum flooring. I was very surprised that unlike some of the big name advertising companies (like Empire), the marketing person said their team knows how to safely handle installation over asbestos and no abatement was necessary after he looked at the tile condition. I already had the abatement estimate because I figured no one would touch the floor without having the abatement done first. I was quite happy that Bloomington Carpet did not require abatement. They were very respectful and had no problems with my pets. Noise & dust was minimal (installation was on the 2nd floor). The installers arrived on the agreed date, early in the morning. They worked relatively fast and didn't take many breaks. The finished results are a beautiful floor. No more asbestos! No more old dirty carpet. They even trimmed the bottom of a closet door that was always dragging. The laminate looks beautiful and is easy to sweep clean. When there were any questions, communication response was fast. Everything went very, very smoothly. I could not have been happier. The installers were both named Jason too so I didn't even have a problem remembering their names. Leah, you were great too. :

There were a few mix ups - the measurer was short on the dimensions - we didn't have enough flooring - an additional day of install was needed once the wood came in. I didn't have to pay for the additional wood - Crew2 and the place where I bought the wood negotiated the issue between the two of them

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND QUALITY OF OUR NEW FLOORS. THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS PROBLEM FREE. THE INSTALLER WAS EXCELLENT AND ACTUALLY FINISHED EARLY. EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP WHEN HE LEFT AND THE FLOORS LOOKED GREAT.

I have worked with Rob on multiple occasions for various handyman work and every time he does a fantastic job. For this job, I asked him to tile our bathroom floor, and fix shower tiles. As per his usual process, I purchased all the items needed, with his advice. The day of the install him and his co-worker arrived promptly and began working. The completed all the work in about 8 hours. It was done very professionally and ended up transforming the bathroom. Not only is Rob very knowledgeable in most home repairs/jobs, he is a great guy with a very friendly and open attitude. His rates are much lower than other general contractors and he tends to be quicker with great quality. I would highly recommend him for any job

The job is still not completed.The floor was installed with too much deflection, and their remedy was to screw the floor down, not only making screw holes in the surface, but voiding our warranty. The guy doing the steps suggested we replace them. We agreed, however, they were done incorrectly and need to be reinstalled. They have not responded to our requests to make this right, and we have had to hire a new flooring company to repair the work they did. The worst quality workmanship and work ethic we have ever experienced

I used Tieben Floors (Floors2Go) when remodeling a lower level bathroom. They installed the floor tile, adding an under-the-floor heating system for what used to be a very cold floor. They were very helpful in picking out the tile, and patient with the fact that we needed the electrical inspector to approve the heating arrangement before the tiles were laid over the heat source. They were prompt, clean, respectful and well worth the slightly-higher price of using established professionals

He assessed the floor and decided it should not be sanded, the water invaded the wood too and caused some initial warping, and would eventually get worse. He said his company does sanding and refinishing, and replacing (custom) floating flooring is not something his company does very often. He thought we should get a specialist. He was familiar with the product, and was able to make recommendations on how to install in some difficult areas. He did a very nice job with the installation, which included a vapor barrier beneath the vinyl flooring, and transition strips. The work began on-time and took approximately 1.5 days. He was professional, cleaned up afterward, and provided an excellent quality installation. The floor looked fantastic - no issues. One word: Awesome. People like Kurt are hard to find in this industry. He was there to answer our questions every step of the way. When he provided the quote, nothing was left in the open. He came up with pricing on the individual tasks so we could choose what we wanted to do now and sometimes what we could do ourselves. This was a stark contrast to one other bid we received, which was just one page. The project went like clockwork, with Kurt providing frequent updates on what is going on. The crew did an awesome job. 99.9% of the hardwood was impeccable and that is a significant feat considering the size of this job. When you need some quality work done, I seriously doubt if you can find anyone who can do a better job than Kurt and his crew. A few may be able to match it, but no one can beat. You may be able to find a cheaper solution, but not a better quality provider. I recommend him for any job where quality is more important than price. Kurt also provided lot of useful inputs whether or not he is doing the work for us. Close your eyes and call him for your next job. You will be happy you did..

The initial estimate of time was six weeks and On Time Contractors completed all the work within the expected time line Issues or changes that we raised during the process were all dealt with in a timely and fair fashion As our house is almost 100 years old there was other work that needed to occur once the previous kitchen was removed including sub floor correction to address floor squeaks and insulation The guys were very good about cleaning up after themselves and worked throughout the six week period - the only exception was periods waiting for various inspections from the city inspectors Work started very quickly following the signing of contracts The company is very fair and reasonable about changes to the original contract - there were some things such as location of sockets and light switches that we altered as we went along The contractors were friendly and respectful of our space and property For the most part, their team are employees but sub contractors are used for electrical and granite. The granite process of selection and than installation was wonderful. There was a day delay due to a snow storm that hit but we were informed of that and given the weather that was very understandable. The electrical install went well although a little delayed due to other emergencies but all still completed within the 6 week time frame. The biggest issues we had were with things outside of OTC control. The company we ordered the appliances from and who delivered them were stressful and it took some work to explain to them that we wanted them to be careful of the newly installed floor. Weather in MN in winter is a factor but to OTC's credit, even on some really bad snow days, they had staff show up on Saturdays to complete work - like handles on the new cabinets and grouting on tile to ensure they stayed on track. Things to consider is that at project start, you are unlikely to have everything you want figured out - like granite color, tile color, where light switches should be and so expect some need to discuss with the contractor changes. OTC were very good about this and only charged for extra materials or time over the original contract - no additional change charges were added. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend this company to anyone considering re-modeling wor

Our experience with Graley Concrete was very good. Especially working with co-owner Trevor Lindstrom. All through the project, from start to finish he was upfront, patience and open to all of our questions concerns and ideas. During our initial contact Trevor walked us through what our project would entail. During his measuring for the estimate he was very courteous and respectful of our home. We obtained three estimates for these jobs (one of which was an award winning company) and Graley's was comparable but not the cheapest. We chose Graley because Trevor was the most knowledgable and enthusiastic. He would readily contact and educate us. For the stamped concrete work there were many example of Graley's work in the area. But the interior stained concrete floor viewing was limited to photos until Trevor offered to let us come to his home, where he had stained his own floor. We took a ride over and checked out his work. The floor was beautiful and as a bonus we were able to meet his wonderful family.They were booked out approx two weeks but on the day promised the crew showed up. They were efficient and professional. Trevor was there during the whole process. He did the interior floor staining himself and as he was applying the stains to the floor he would call my wife down to make sure the color was to her liking. And before he sealed the floor he had her come down to look it over so she had a final opportunity to make changes. Both jobs were completed in two days. Although Trevor came back approx 3 weeks later after the patio cured to clean and seal it. The cost was right at the estimate, there were no hidden or additional charges. Both the floor and the patio turned out wonderful. The artistic work of both projects will enhance the value and beauty of our home for years to come. We highly recommend Graley Concrete Construction
