We had used Pronto's services at another location and had the same type of results. These folks at Pronto solved the problem of malfunctioning by moving two humidifiers and controls to another location and adjusting water and air flow for proper use. Their knowledge and professionalism were terrific and saved us money in that we were so frustrated that we would have bought new humidifiers (the short term warranty was out on the new ones) but they felt the problem wasn't in the humidifiers but in their location, air and water flow and they were correct. Prices for furnaces, air conditioners, humidifiers etc. aren't all that different from manufacturer to manufacturer but this type of professionalism, promptness and competency IS HARD TO FIND. Standard Heating and Air was professional, easy to work with, and did a great job. They did all of the calculations so that we were ensured the proper sized units. They followed all safety regulations. There was a problem with our install - they installed the fresh air duct directly over some water drainage hoses. In the super cold winter, these drainage hoses froze, which caused water to overflow from our humidifier. When we explained this problem to them, they promptly came to re-direct the air flow, and they also reimbursed us for the water damage. I would highly recommend them

Furnace was leaking water, we weren't sure if it was the hose that was clogged, or the humidifier or both. They were able to come out the same day they were called. The tech that came out (I think his name was George) found the problem very quickly. The pipe that drained the condensation was clogged before the hose. He blew it out a couple times with compressed air and did the same with the hose. Since it didn't take long, he also did a walk around with me to point out potential problems and suggestions of how to improve air flow in the ducts. I felt like we got our money's worth for the 1 hour service charge when it was such an easy fix. I will surely call them back when we have our ducts cleaned, and possibly to replace the blower fan on our old furnace

Jeff came out to give us an estimate for a furnace and central air after our furnace was red tagged. He was very knowledgeable and explained various options. There was no high pressure of any kind. He was responsive to our list of questions when we got back to him after we had done some more research and had other estimates. Their references had great things to say about the quality of their work and products and we fully agree. Jeff worked with us to get the furnace installed as quickly as possible and even helped coordinate with another company the cleaning of our ductwork before the furnace went in. Brad and ____? worked hard and did a nice job installing everything in one day. They returned a few weeks later to make sure everything was working well and to answer any questions. All the rebate paperwork was filed by AQS and we received the rebate checks. Recently Brad came back to help us adjust the air flow to various rooms to even out the air conditioning. Our furnace broke (again) in the middle of the night on a cold December morning (15 F!) . Called Air Mechanical first thing when we got up and they sent a service man over right away at 11 AM...on a Sunday mind you. He diagnosed the problem and very gently told us what we already knew. The furnace wasn't even worth repairing. He went through all the reasons carefully so we knew he wasn't just trying to sell us a new furnace. So we asked if we could get a sales guys ASAP since I had to be to work in just a couple of hours. Bill came over shortly thereafter and gave us our options in a friendly NON-PUSHY manner. We made our choice and they were able to get 2 installers in THE NEXT DAY to install the furnace. We have two little kids and it was imperative we get heat as soon as possible. We LOVE the model we bought (parts and labor included for 10 years!) and are so happy to finally be rid of the dreaded fear the furnace is going to go out...again. Everyone that came to our house was friendly, very knowledgable, and very respectful. With the tax credit, Angies coupon, centerpoint energy rebate, and Bryant rebate the total altogether will be $2800!! Can't beat that for a top of the line furnace with the smartest thermostat (deluxe user interface) you've ever seen. Also, Air Mechanical takes care of all the paperwork for you so you don't have to fill out those annoying rebate forms. We are very impressed with this company and will recommend them in the future

We called the Snelling emergency number on July 4th in the early evening and a technician was able to stop by in an hour.This was the hottest day of the year and our AC unit stopped working. Absolutely wonderful experience. If you are looking for someone with real experience with duct work and HVAC who will be honest and upfront with you, I have the company for you. Tom loves to let you know the details of everything he is doing or proposes to do. He is the duct whisperer. If you have heat (winter) or cooling (summer) problems on your 2nd floor, it is most likely your airflow. Don't listen to the sales people that promise a new furnace with a big fan will fix your problem. It won't. We tried that. Tom can rework your duct so that proper airflow can occur. I can feel the temperature difference, and can sleep at night without sweating myself to sleep. For the short time we were using gas this spring, our gas usage was cut in half. Because of the 2 stage air conditioner, I expect the electricity usage to be lower too during the summer. We suffered for 19 years with heating and cooling problems. They are gone now. No more humidity problems in the basement too since the air now circulates and is dehumidified by the air conditioner. Tom made sure that *every* room in the house had good air flow. For air quality, Tom installed a hospital grade Hepa filter, air purifier, and put in a better filter for the furnace. We breathe easier and have confidence in the air quality and fewer virus issues. He had custom metalwork done for the furnace for the air return and furnace stand. All designed beautifully and functional. The new thermostat is a work of art. For the people averse to paperwork, Tom filled out all of the paperwork for the rebates and warranties. All we had to do was cash the checks when they came. The city inspectors were impressed with the quality of the work. He went far above and beyond what we have encountered previously with a furnace and a/c install. He even discovered, fixed, and cleaned up our dryer vent as part of his service (which most possibly save us from having a dryer vent fire). It took a day of hot, sweaty work to clean up the mess and he could have passed off to someone else but didn't. The dryer vent should have been cleaned by the duct cleaners like they promised, but wasn't. He was here when he said he would be, and he sent email ahead of time detailing what he was going to do. He cleaned up every day and talked us through what was accomplished that day. Best communication ever. Best experience ever. Seriously. Call him

Called Brian and he came over that same afternoon. After looking over the unit, he recommended some easy changes (lower quality filter) to improve the air flow. Then he went outside and looked at the unit. He walked me through everything that he needed to do and explained the basic working of the unit. Then he did the work quickly and efficiently. My furnace was shut down when it was tune up by another company because it was leaking CO. I did some research on internec found Lennox is good brand to trust, contact two Lennox dealer, got both quotes, From costco I got Marsh heating, his quotes a little higher than another company, but later he matched the price. I got extra costco warranty. The worker come on the morning and finished their job right on time. The new furnace is 97 percent of efficiency and noise are much lower than before. They also installed new humidifier, it runs good too

In the midst of the excessive heat warning, of course our A/C went kapoot. I called Air Flow Mechanical, since I had used them in the past for our furnace. They had a technician out in just a few hours and had us up and running in about 30 minutes. We thought it was the freon, but it was the capacitator I believe. He did check our freon and said we were just fine and that the unit itself looked very clean. In hearing of horror stories recently about HVAC companies taking advantage of consumers by charging them for freon that wasn't needed, it was reassuring that he checked it, but was very honest about it. You just can't put a price on that! I truly appreciate the honesty, integrity and quick response these guys offer, and they are very affordable. They have earned my full trust and will continue to call upon Air Flow Mechanical for all our future HVAC needs

After having a disappointing experience with another company, I was looking for a new company to do the annual service on our furnace and air conditioning systems. I signed up for another company's plan, but found it to be surprisingly expensive once I had to pay extra for servicing the humidifier and air cleaner filters. Still looking, I turned to Angie's List for help and, after calling several companies for estimates, I decided to ask Golden Valley Heating to service our air conditioner. Not only did Phil service the air conditioner, but he also explained how to keep air flowing efficiently around our house for the zone system to provide air conditioning most efficiently. GV Heating came back this Fall for the annual tune-up for our furnace. I almost fell over when I saw Phil cleaning our furnace with his vacuum and a TOOTHBRUSH!! He disassembled the humidifier control to clean it and found, probably, 25+ years of lint clogging the control! WOW
