GRANITE TRANSFORMATIONS

Sue came to our home to provide information, samples, and give us an estimate which turned out to be quite accurate. About a week later, the templater came to take the precise measurements needed to build the countertops. Since the old countertops had integrated sinks, they will completely replace the countertops, not cover them as they typically would do. Two weeks later, they came to install the countertops. When they removed the old countertop in the master bath, they found a few problems with how it was installed. They had to cut some tile on the wall in order to install the new countertop the right way (not like the old one was done!). They did such a good job, you would never know there was a problem! They took the old countertops and left both bathrooms clean and neat

These guys are great. Very responsive and courteous. Missed first appointment due to traffic, but Jake called and apologized. Counter was delivered and installed as promised. They put the wrong grout into seams, but promptly came back and installed correct grout on a Saturday. Jake also said I should call him in the spring and he would come back and buff/seal the counter when it wasn't as cold outside. I would definitely use these guys again

Excellent! We replaced our low grade granite with Cambria Quartz. Everything from choosing the color, the measuring and then install of the new counter tops went flawlessly. The sales reps were so helpful and kind, and the measuring and install teams were on time and very professional. Well done! We couldn’t be happier

Pacific Granite

We found a beautiful selection of granite at Pacific Granite. Trevor was responsive and helpful when selecting materials. After we selected the material and scheduled the measurement things went downhill. We had the installation guides for the new sink tub, pop-up vent, and gas range on the countertop and highlighted for the measurement guy to check when doing the measurement of the countertops. My wife told me that he was on the phone while he was doing the measurements and barely looked at the installation guides even after she pointed out that there were new appliances. He got off his cell phone for long enough for her to schedule the installation for the following week. When the countertops were delivered the next week, they were over 12" short and the owner argued that we changed the cabinets. My wife explained that his installation guys were the ones that removed the previous countertop that very morning, so there was no way that the cabinets had changed. He made a few calls and had a new piece cut and installed the next day. After the countertops were installed, the installers looked at the installation guides to cut the drops for the appliances and told us that we didn't have enough room for the range and pop-up vent. They explained that even though there was room for the range in the laminate and the cabinet, they need additional material in granite to avoid cracking the thin sections in front and behind the range. I argued that this should have been brought to our attention when the measurements were done or at least before the existing countertops had been torn out and replaced. The installers were very professional and helpful, but they weren't able to help. Now we were stuck with beautiful new countertops and non-returnable appliances. I called Trevor and argued that they should have discovered that this problem when the measurements were made, but he argued that it wasn't their responsibility to make sure that my appliances fit in the countertops. After over a week of arguing this case, I ordered a new gas range and had PG install it. The owner met me at the house to discuss the final payment. In previous phone conversations he had taken the firm position that he was already losing money on this project and wouldn't budge on paying for the non-returnable appliances. I made a few calls and found that I could use the Attorney Generals office to take him to court to make up for the cost of the appliances and cost of having my kitchen out of commission for 2 weeks. The owner finally purchased my non-refundable appliances and we walked away. Overall, I would say that the materials from Pacific Granite were beautiful and they did a good quality jobon the final installation, but the process of measurements and dealing with the prolonged installation was terrible. I love my new countertop, but would not go through this headache again

Amazingly well. We went to a warehouse to pick out our stone, someone came and measured and counters were installed very quickly! They were very mindful of the walls and sink size during removal and installation. Highly recommend them for the price!

Universal Stone was great to work with, from picking out our countertops to the install. The showroom has a large selection and they don't pressure you at all. I was able to walk through the showroom/warehouse by myself to pick out my favorites. The measure and the install went well and was quick. Most importantly our new countertops are beautiful!

Town & Country Granite

The installation went perfectly. However, a few weeks later, several cracks appeared. After repeated emails and phone calls, they came and looked at the granite. They said they were natural flaws in the granite, sealed them with epoxy, and said if more cracks appeared, they would need to replace the one slab

RAUSCH BROTHERS MONUMENT COMPANY INC.

WE WORKED THROUGH THEIR LOCAL COUNTERTOP REP AT MINNEAPOLIS GRANITE & MARBLE, BUT OUR COUNTERTOPS WERE MANUFACTURED IN SOUTH DAKOTA. RAUSCH BROTHERS INSTALLED THE COUNTERTOPS WHEN PROMISED. WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE END RESULT. RAUSCH CUTS ALL THE PIECES BY HAND WITH SUCH CRAFTSMANSHIP. THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL WAS JUST PHENOMENAL. THE INSTALLERS (ALSO LOCAL TO MINNEAPOLIS) WERE NOT HAPPY WITH ONE OF THE BACKSPLASHES, SO THEY CALLED OUT TO SOUTH DAKOTA, AND HAD A REPLACEMENT PIECE CUT AND INSTALLED THE VERY NEXT DAY. OUR MAIN CONTRACTOR FOR THE KITCHEN REMODEL SAID HE WOULD USE THEM IN FUTURE, SINCE OUR KITCHEN COUNTERTOPS (USING THE SAME COLOR GRANITE) LOOKED SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE COUNTERTOPS IN HIS OWN NEWLY REMODELED KITCHEN

I had an intall date of 12/14 and it was installed a week earler on 12/6. It is beautful and we are very happy. We purchased Silestone and it is very nice...Not all of the care is needed. Dean provided us with an extra piece to use as a hot plate. Thank Dean for the good work and fast install date. I would recommend this company for their quality of work

Bauer Floor Covering
5.0
Our initial encounter with Greg Bauer in the store was a positive one. He was very easy to work with, honest, knowledgeable, and straightforward in helping us select a countertop and vinyl floor. He was very courteous and on time when he came to take measurements of the room, as were his installers when they installed the countertop and vinyl floor. The installers were very easy to work with, also, and answered all of our questions. There were a number of constraints in our schedule and we had to adjust it a few times, but Greg was very accommodating in terms of scheduling the installations to meet our requirements. The installation of both top and floor were done very well, and look very professional. They are definitely one provider that you can count on to do an excellent job from start to finish. We are very pleased with the result and would not hesitate to use Bauer Floor Covering in the future

Silestone Guys

Mitch Ficocello was excellent to work with. I emailed him a rough sketch of our kitchen countertops, including dimensions and he emailed me back an estimate, along with options for edges and an under-counter sink. Then Mitch came to our home, showed us samples, showed us the sink which was free as part of the deal and took his own measurements. I had under-measured, in a few areas and he kept his original estimate in place. On the day of the installation, Mitch and his dad showed up on time for the installation. They rolled tarps into our home to walk on, did their job quickly and efficiently, cleaned up throroughly and left us with a magnificant new countertops. They were friendly, easy to work with, very experienced and did high quality work
Excellent. Although the company claims work can be done in one day, it took about four days at our house. However, the work was done correctly, right on budget, and we are very pleased.
The project went great. We were worried about inviting a construction scene into our home right after we moved in, but figured it was best to get it out of the way and start enjoying the renovations. The hardwood floors were damaged from the previous owners larger pets and the carpet needed replacing. The walls also needed new paint and a fresh look. Those were are immediate concerns. However, after inviting Snap in we decided to dig into the rest of the projects we had on our list to just get it all over with. We have other friends in the building and wanted to create something that was unique since most of the units look the same. We had them rearrange the cabinets and add a built in wine fridge that looks great. The new cabinets looks and perform great, we love the automatic soft close drawer slides and soft close hinges on the cabinets. The hood was custom built of stainless steel from a local artist they have a connection with and looks really good. It is hard to explain, but looks as though it was a factory finished piece until you get close and realize the work that went into it. We had them install new counter tops as well that have charging units built in for cell phones. The 1.5 bath was a complete overall. This was the one disappointing place when we first bought our home and where they really cut corners. There wasn't a lot of room for creativity in there so we went with a really clean look with an all glass shower, new vanity, and tile throughout. All in all I think they did a great job. Communication was great and helped us both to stay at ease. They also did a good job cleaning up each night. The only issue was an area that needed to be repainted that we noticed some flaws in after the finish. They came right out no questions asked and repainted it and felt compelled to write them a good review for the excellent service. Too often people just want to talk about the bad, so thanks
I ordered the wrong size countertop and in reality, it needs to be custom made. Ben discussed options, provided measurements and assured me he would work me in to get it installed before Thanksgiving. He prepped the wall where the entertainment center was, and will be back to sand and prepare surface for painting, install new baseboard, etc. We also ran into surprises with the entertainment center and Ben proposed options. Ben was very professional, flexible and helpful. He cleaned up after project, including hauling away debris. We will definitely call Handy Rite for additional projects, and recommend them to friends and family
I did have a lower offer, but I felt the slightly higher price was more than offset by the professionalism and knowledge of LRC, and that I'd end up with a higher quality longer lasting driveway, that was as good as it could possibly be.
Their prices were way too high. They gave me the information that I was looking for, although they did try to talk me out of something that I wanted. I wanted to put hardwood in my kitchen, and they were older gentlemen. In those days, they didn't do hardwood flooring, though everybody does it now. That's not why I didn't go with them. The main issue was that their price was too high. They were pretty prompt in coming out to do measurements and the bid. I appreciated that. I don't feel like I made a personal connection with those guys as much as with some of the other people I work with. I found them a little brusk, to tell you the truth. I would be willing to get another bid from them for carpeting work in the future
This is our second big job with Eric. We chose Dynamic Edge after having a negative experience with a Home Depot granite install in our kitchen. For this project, we needed a large amount of granite for a kitchen renovation and 3 smaller pieces for bathrooms. We selected a slab from Ansum and Ash for the kitchen. For the bathrooms, we went to the fabricators and were able to select our pieces from remnants, effectively reducing by the price by 40%. It took a while for the pieces to be cut, but it was well worth the wait. The fabricators use a laser guided system for laying out the pieces, ensuring that the pattern continues on corners and backsplash - resulting in a seamless, beautiful look. The corners are done with a French miter. The staff at Dynamic are helpful and polite. Highly recommended
Got a call back from Creative Concrete. Described the intended project and the gentlemen was quite honest about it - he advised it would be rather easy to DIY the project and save the $3000.00 (ballpark estimate given our discussion). He would have been happy to come out and give an actual estimate, but was up front about the cost benefit of hiring them. Points for being honest about it
We were very pleased with the service and quality we received from Dan Brown the owner of Restore Floors and More. Dan was subcontracted to install wood flooring, bathroom tile, bedroom carpet and a back splash for our condo after fire damage. The general contracting company was completely disorganized and yet Dan was patient through the whole process. He is obviously very knowledgeable about flooring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dan and his crew
Highly recommend! Professional, and great customer service. I’m very happy with how my kitchen countertop turned out. Very affordable prices, definitely worth it. Will recommend to all my family and friends!
With one small exception, everything went great. And that mistake was corrected quickly and perfectly with no problem. The fit of the cabinets are great and the mitering on the trim is exceptional. Very pleased with Danner cabinets and Brad out installer.
I had Black Swan install multiple floors and they turned out amazing. Was done in timely manner and they fit me in their busy schedule without a problem. Will hire again!!
Pavel and his crew were very good. The new openings they created are seamless and the split of the bedroom into two is great as well. We were very happy with the finished product and it turned out better than we imagined. The workers were very efficient and did quality work. I was in contact with Pavel almost every day. We only hit a couple of snags but they ended up being relatively minor. One issue was there was an unexpected air return in the wall where they created an opening. They were able to work around this and create an alternative air duct for minimal money and Pavel did a very good job of finding a remedy to this complication. Pavel was also very honest about his opinions on certain things and I appreciated his advice. We definitely plan on recommending On Time Contractors to friends and family
Outstanding quality of workmanship down to every little detail. Did an amazing job remodeling our home. In fact we loved the work so much we also had pablo remodel our office space doing everything from completely gutting the interior and had them frame up 4 office spaces all the way down to the fine finishes. They worked super fast and did an amazing job. You name it pablo and his team can do it. Framing, drywall, painting, tile, hardwood floors, kitchen cabinets, countertops, installed new windows, siding and will be hiring them again in the spring to do my roof. Extremely friendly and did a great job cleaning up and couldnt be happier with the work they did especially for the price. We had estimates from 4 or 5 other contractors but Pablo's communication and expertise on everything we wanted to have done made us choose them over anyone else's. Couldnt be more proud of the work they have done for us and will be using prime time exteriors for anything we do in the future. A+++ couldnt say enouogh great things about this company and the people who came to do the work. Top notch contractor and extremely pleasant to work with
Erik was excellent - great ideas, communicated well, very skilled & knowledgeable, ultimate professional, followed thru on commitments, reasonably priced especially when consider the scope & depth of his expertise. Always cleaned up after working & was always willing to offer me help. I will use him again and would highly recommend Erik. Erik is a man of great personal and professional integrity and expertise
I had this work done a while ago. I sometimes think you should wait a while before reviewing someone to see how the work holds out. I couldn't have been more pleased with this contractor's work. He arrived promptly and didn't push to upsell. He worked quietly and quickly. I am so very happy with the way my tub looks. My only suggestion would be to consider options to prevent the tub bottom from being slippery if you use it for a shower
I am only compelled to write reviews when I have experienced exceptional customer service and top quality work. Dan at Dobervich Stone surpassed all of our expectations with this project. Dan comes with a lot of experience and has an extreme attention to detail you will not easily find elsewhere. He assists in design, color matching, shape, size and goes out of his way to make sure you get a product that is perfect and that you are going to love. His crew was very professional. Mats on all our floors. The installation was quick, perfectly done and they all worked at the end wiping everything down, making our kitchen look like a show home. I strongly recommend Dan and his team to anyone looking to replace their countertops. He’s amazing

The countertop looks great and fits perfectly. Select Surfaces did a great job. First, they came out to do detailed measurements of the countertop and then had the countertop made to fit. The amount of countertop was relatively small. On the day of install, a person removed the old countertop and the sink, and installed the new countertop. The sink (I kept the overmount sink) and faucet were reconnected the next day. Although they forgot to caulk a small area on the underside of the countertop, I had my painters caulk it when painting the kitchen. The only thing that I'd do differently would be to remove everything from below the countertop. They had to do some grinding of the countertop to adjust the fit, and as a result, there was a layer of dust on everything. But the work they did was very good, and I'm happy with the result. (Cost: $3,804
