Very knowledgeable, honest and no pressure during the sales process. Quality product was sold to us and quality installation. The team and their contractors were very experienced and knowledgable on all aspects of installing pools. We are very happy with our new pool and very happy with our decision to use Prestige Pools. Would definitely recommend them to our friends and family

10 years ago I had a new pool installed by Kalifornia Pools. 10 years later, I can say I have an awesome pool. No major issues. The owner Nick is always available by phone or email to answer questions. And will always send out a tech for service or emergency. I purchased a great produce. I highly recommend this pool company

I hired Kalifornia Pool to remove an in-ground pool and re-landscape afterwards. The price was right, but nothing else went well. The project should have taken a week to 10 days but it ended up taking 40 days. They started the project in early spring before road restrictions were lifted or dirt and sod were available and when there was just one dry day in the weather forecast. It turned out to be one of the rainiest periods in history. My yard ended up turning into a huge mud pit that wasn?t graded properly for drainage which caused my basement to flood along with other property damage. It took weeks for the yard to dry out sufficiently for the project to be completed. They did try to fix all of the damage including drying out the basement, repairing a fence, rebuilding a retaining wall, and replacing perennial plants. But the end result isn?t good. The sod is lumpy throughout and there is a large area where standing water collects after it rains

It started very well. The sales person (Scott) was very responsive and accommodating. We ended up choosing to work with a different landscaper than they usually work with since we were more comfortable with our own guy. The coordination between our landscaper went very well and there were no issues. As we got into the summer, they were clearly managing multiple jobs and they started slipping. It would take me to call Scott to find out when they were coming next to keep going. Communication was not very proactive on their part. The problem really started at the end, while I was overseas on a business trip. When I got back I realized they had poured the concrete around the pool about 2 inches too low, preventing the automatic pool cover to fully retract under the pavers around the pool decking. Although this unique feature was clearly discussed during the design and pricing phase, it was portrayed as news to him. Together with our landscape designer, we tried offering several ideas (some very simple) on how to somewhat correct this, but they did not seems that interested in finding a creative solution to fix it. After repeated attempts, several calls and emails, I am still waiting on empty promises, missed deadlines, and unreturned calls. After spending over $100,000 on my backyard project, I now have to live with an eye sore and most importantly a safety issue because my kids can get their feet stuck in between the pool cover bar and the pool decking. If you are looking for a standard pool, they are your guys. If you are looking for something more unique that requires a little creativity look elsewhere. If you do hire them, make sure to negotiate a significant amount to be paid after your own final inspection and complete satisfaction. They insisted in full payment after they deliver the materials. In hindsight that was my mistake. After final payment, I just couldn't get them to complete the work to my satisfaction

I worked directly with Ginny, who is one of the owners, but all of her staff is great. The worker also re-piped the duct work and did a good job. They also do free water analysis for your pool, and I consider them very reputable. I would certainly recommend this company.

Presitge Pools installed our pool over 8 years ago. Most recently we experience a loss in our family but still needed to work on maintaining our pool. Prestige Pools is a family centered company and went out of their way to be sure I had what I needed delivered to my home so it was available when we needed it. Our pool is located at a second home over 1 hour away. i feel I have a great team in the Prestige Pool staff as they are happy and willing to help me maintain my pool long distance

first he tried to bid the job for $2500. I told him that was more than the pool stores charge. than he lowered his price to find the most I was willing to pay which was $1500. he told me he was a Mn licensed contactor which was a lie and he also states it on his proposal invoice. I reported him to the state at 651-284-5065 (1) (2) (1). 5 beams were 1/2 to1 inch to low. 2 pillar stuck out 1 to 2 inches from the rest. the wall seam was outside the pillar. the floor was 56 1/2 inches low because he did not put enough sand in it. he used fill sand instead of mason sand. the floor dept varied 2 1/2 inch throughout. he refused to fix the floor saying my expectations are too high. he said he did not know how to fix the floor other than to add portlan to the sand and cement the floor for another $500. no one cements above ground pool floors in Minnesota because they will crack. he said he did not know how to fix the hight of the pillars. I still owed him $750 for a total of $1500 and he said he would rather walk than fix this and get the remaining $750.. I have to have the pool taken down and done over so I am out the $750 I gave him

Hired 8/2003 to build an in-ground swimming pool. Our first season (spring 2004), we experience washouts of the cement-like pool bottom. We asked them to repair the holes when closing the pool in the fall. They said since ground water caused the issue (in their opinion) it wasn't covered by the one-season warranty. There's nothing in the contract stating warranty does not cover ground-water related issue. We've since had a cracked skimmer, more wash-outs of the bottom, and a liner torn in two spots, and they've repaired nothing at their expense, stating ground water caused the problems. They struck water when they built the pool, and expressed no concern. They at no time advised us before or during construction that ground water could cause problems, and willingly built the pool on our site, stating no concerns. We since found out they failed the city footing inspection, but finished the pool anyway, and never completed the final inspection. Overall, a very shabby operation

My salesperson was very polite and very helpful. She was able to answer all my questions in a timely fashion. The coordiator was also very helpful. Even the installers were polite, friendly and answered our questions. The project was finished on schedule and the quality of the pool & spa have been outstanding. They even came out after the sale/installation to show us how to use both the pool & spa. I am very glad I picked Valley Pools & Spas for our project

LODAHL DEMOLITION INC

The owner of the company, Tom Lodahl, was in charge of everything and he had a couple of helpers. He was here on time and left everything clean and neat. He was very personable and professional. I recommend him to anyone.
The weather was perfect and Performance pool came out as scheduled to remove the old pool liner and replace with a new seamless liner. They encountered some ground water but continued with the uninstall and installation. Began filling the pool and everything was looking great. After filling the pool to the spot they had indicated, we noticed a air/water bubble on the bottom of the pool. I called and they said they would take a look. We had gone out of town for the weekend and when we got back on Sunday, they had removed their equipment but there was now a huge air/water bubble on the bottom of the pool. I called and they told me to push it to the side. I did that and the bubble went away, but now we had wrinkles on the bottom. I called again, and they said they would come out and take a look. A couple of days later they came out and put sand bags on the bottom and refill to the a specific line. They charged me $200 in addition to the original $3600. They came out again, and removed the sand bags and began to fill the pool again. The wrinkles are still present on the bottom of the pool I filled pool to the top and discussed with them what their plans are for removing the wrinkles in the spring. A week went by and I noticed that the pool water level was going down. I emailed and called to let them know. They said for me to mark the level and get back to them in a day. I did that it had dropped 1.5 inches over a 36 hour period. They have not gotten back to me yet. It's been 6 weeks. The pool water level continues to drop and now is frozen. My guess is myautomatic pool cover will be destroyed by spring due to the pool leaking water. I'm not sure why they have not got back to me, I have not attempted to contact them either. I hope I can have a better rating in the spring after the fix our problems
There were professional and very responsive. Any issues that came up, they were very responsive. They handled everything very well. I recommend them highly. They are very accomodating. They will be our pool company from here out.
Always very professional and punctual. The pool and spa were opened on time. I also use them to close the pool and spa in the fall. They also cleaned and balanced the chemicals. I use them for all my pool and spa services. I couldn't have a better service. Also, very nice people.
Responded to my call right away and came out and replaced the unit within 2 days. This is the second time I have used this service and am very pleased with responsiveness and work done. Professional and helpful in helping us get back on track with the pool cleaning. Was fast and thorough as well.
They were recommended by a discerning friend who is equally ecstatic with them. Jeff who is the pool designer came over to talk about the pool. He listened very carefully to my preferences (size, swimming with pets, no diving board, more electrical outlets around the pool). Rather than sell he asked about usage - what time of the day would I use the pool, would I be sitting around the pool, to help figure placement. He asked me to watch the sun in my backyard - to notice shadows from trees and where the sunniest point would be. He recommended a fiberglass step for the dogs because of their nails and found one that blended in beautifully with the pool. He sent a 3-d video of the proposed pool in action. It really helped solidify placement and options. The quote was very accurate compared to final cost and every change order I wanted was discussed very clearly. No surprises on price or timeline. Jeff and his team built the pool really quickly. No subcontractors - every team member was very competent and very pleasant. The gas, electrical and concrete guys used were equally nice! All were very professional and did an outstanding job. After the work was done, the owner Jeremy came over to show me how to use the phone app to control the pool functions. Then both Jeff and Jeremy gave me the run down of how to care for the pool. Great service! The LED light did not change colors so Jeremy came right out the next day to fix it. The best service experience of the project was : before the project was finished I thought the heater was too high so I tried to turn it down myself manually. It was set automatically so it did not respond properly. I thought I had messed it up. I texted Jeff at 7am on a Saturday to tell him I thought I had ruined their settings. I was so worried since there was an error message flashing. I asked him "what should I do?" - his response.... "JUMP IN!". Was great to allay my fears and he followed up shortly to say it was not an issue at all. The real plus of using this company is that who else gets the pool designer as the pool builder too? Most outfits outsource the building to subcontractors. I could work happily in the day and not worry that I had to be there to make sure everything was done as requested - Jeff knew exactly what the pool should be like as he designed it. Every single member of the company is responsible, courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company and thanked my friend profusely for having recommended them. Incidentally the cost of the pool alone was $5k cheaper than their competitors. The products used were equal or higher quality. The difference I assume is being a small business and doing the work themselves, they don't have layers of sales people and pool building subcontractors (who don't have the same vested interest in outcomes) to pay. I could not be happier and look forward to using them for their maintenance services for years to come
Performance Pool and Spa serviced our swimming pool and spa for the whole swimming season. |We enjoyed working with them and their work was usually professionally done. They were efficient, but a couple of times were too fast and missed checking things that should have been done. The service department was very responsive when reminded about the items that were missed
Terrible. I asked 2x for someone to come out and give me a quote on replacing my pool liner. Both times they made it seem like I was bothering them to come over and look at what needed to be done. Finally, the owner himself came out after my second request. Said it all looked good. The liner is 13 years old! Liners have on average a 8-10 year life span. This one was showing signs of its age, and the floor was also in rough shape and needed to be re-done. There was also some question as to whether one side had settled enough to be fixed. It was time, and I wanted it replaced. The rest of the pool and equipment is still in really good shape and it was time for the new liner and floor. I was willing to pay for professionals to come out and do the job correctly. I went into the store for a 3rd time and talked to the head service person and expressed again that I wanted it replaced. He took down a few notes and told me " he was going to talk to the owner on Monday and they'll get right back to me." Six days went by and I had to stop in for more chemicals. The service person walked out of the back room, looked right at me, turned and went back into the backroom. Never acknowledged me or explain the delay in getting back to me. Another week went by and I get a phone message from the owner seeing if this note requesting a liner replacement was the original one or if this a new request. This makes me wonder what the communication is between the owner and his head service person. Their message was sent loud and clear, they were not interested in the job or my future business. I just wish they would have said it right off the bat so I could have moved on and got the job done a few weeks earlier. I found someone else and hired the job out. I have been a customer of Blue Fin for over 10 years, purchasing all my pool chemicals, misc pool supplies and even a pump from them this past spring. The past 2 seasons I've seen a major change in this business and not in a good way. Changed up their product line and loosing some great staff. This service issue was the last straw and lost Blue Fin my business
You can count on the staff here to give you their time and help in solving your pool chemical balancing issues. We appreciate their help and are loyal customers.

Terrible experience. Worst service received from any Minnesota company - and that goes for pre-purchase, in the store, and even after sale. Do not go to Performance Pool if you can avoid it. Here is what happened: We have an above-ground pool in Jordan, Minnesota, and were interested in buying a pool treatment system that would maintain water quality and sanitation, as well as limit algae growth. We confirmed with Performance that they carried the system we wanted before driving the 40 minutes there from Jordan. They assembled the components, and twice we asked "Is this all we will need?", to which they replied "Yes. That's all. You have everything you'll need." We got home to learn they had only sold us pool sanitizers and the like but had not even given us the necessary dispenser for everything - the key component - meaning we'd spent $200 for nothing and wasted our time with a 1hr and 20 minute roundtrip. We called them back, and after an exchange, they promised on Monday, July 3, that they would order what we in fact had needed in the first place, and that it would be in on Wednesday, July 5. They would call us on Wednesday, they said. We received no phone call on Wed, or on any other day from them. When we called them yesterday, Saturday, they had not even ordered the promised dispenser at all. In asking why they never called us, they claim to have ordered the wrong part as though that explained why they didn't bother even to tell us that. Totally non-responsive. We drove the 40 minutes back there again just yesterday to return everything, given the lack of customer service or concern. The treatment in the store at that time was even worse, if you could imagine. The salesperson(Ted) told us to "Just order it from Amazon", after expressing a high degree of indifference to the service we'd received and the time they had wasted. He could not have had a more sarcastic tone. The manager (Jack) was standing right there when the salesperson sarcastically told us to order from somewhere else, said nothing/did nothing, and neither one of them so much as offered to put in a re-order(not that we would have wanted it from them anyway). The final insult came when the salesperson swiped our credit card for the refund, and no kidding, literally tossed it over the counter at us. We felt this business surely has an owner who ought to care about this kind of dis-service, but for our part, we will never come there again and will never recommend them to anyone. Terrible performance. Terrible servic
