Company "A" came to inspect the furnace, told me it wasn't safe, and that I needed a new furnace. I felt some pressure from the technician to get one the following day. I told him I wanted to do some research before getting a new furnace. I called Marsh for an estimate on a new furnace. Jay came out, and suggested it might be wise to have them do an inspection to see if the furnace needed immediate replacing. (Also, he sent me a very reasonable estimate for a new furnace the following day.) Technician Rick came out - inspected the furnace, cleaned the dirty flame sensor, which Company "A" failed to do, and told me my furnace is safe to operate. I really respect Marsh's integrity. There was no pressure to purchase from them. When I do need a new furnace Marsh will be on the top of my list for consideration

I called Standard Heating and air conditioning on Monday. This was the same day they came and confirmed that the old furnace was not functioning. On Wednesday, Brad Link came and recommended replacing the furnace. On Friday the new furnace was installed.

The rep was on time, looked at our current furnace, evaluated the house for size of new furnace (measured windows, doors, etc.) and recommended an 80,000 BTU furnace to replace the current 19-year-old 100,000 BTU furnace. He performed diagnostics on the furnace, the furnace was shutting down because it was hitting the high limit, he offered suggestions and made adjustments to the furnace to keep it from hitting the high limit. I have a modulating furnace and he helped me connect the two stage thermostat that I had installed so that the furnace would recognize that the thermostat was controlling the second stage instead of running timed staging. He reset dip switches on furnace to recognize the two stage thermostat. I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to sell me a service contract as many HVAC contractors do

Pronto had me replace a fully functioning furnace! Technician arrived and said a part in the furnace had failed and we needed to replace furnace. I got a bid from another company for a furnace and went with the other company for the furnace. After new furnace was installed there was still water on the floor. Ends up it was the water heater that was leaking. The furnace company that installed the new furnace said Pronto should have done a more extensive standard procedure for determining the part had failed before determining we needed a new furnace (the company that installed the new furnace did not diagnose the problem - they only bid on a new furnace which is what I asked them to do). I replaced a furnace that did not need to be replaced and all I got was a sorry from Pronto

I had them in to do a vent cleaning. After reviewing the filter setup on my furnace, they advised that I would be better off getting a new filter system on the furnace rather than getting a duct cleaning. This kind of honesty and professionalism seems to be rare these days. Though, they did not do any work for me today, I will definitely be calling them once I upgrade the filtering setup on my furnace/AC

I can't really speak to the quality of the work yet - I haven't really noticed a difference. They guys who did the work were perfectly nice. I used this company because they were on the approved list for the insulation rebate. They were the most expensive quote I received, but with the rebate, I made it work. It took a long time to get the work scheduled, I took the day off work when the date came - it was confirmed (twice) then cancelled, day of (for bad weather that was in the forecast). Needless to day I was really upset. When the bill came, I asked for the credit card charges (yes, they do that) to be waived for the cost & inconvenience the cancelled appointment cost me, but was denied

Flare did a great job of troubleshooting the problem with the old furnace and offering options for fixing the old furnace or replacing it. We decided to replace the furnace and the AC at the same time. Flare replaced the furnace in one day and replaced the AC the next day. They completed all necessary paperwork for receiving the various refunds/rebates available. It was a great experience

Most repairmen would logically replace the part the furnace says is faulty, but he correctly replaced the right part and it works perfectly
