We had a minor emergency, with water leaking in our kitchen, causing some electrical outlets to short out, popping and sparking. We figured out that ice dam formation was the problem. Within 24 hours of calling Dave Bahr he was out giving an estimate, and the following day he was personally here with an assistant to clear snow and ice dams off our roof. He was prompt, honest, and very helpful -- and most importantly he solved our problem. The work was expensive, but I think very reasonably priced given the high risk -- I certainly wouldn't be willing to get up on a steep roof covered in ice and snow on a cold January day. I hope to avoid ice dams in the future (Dave gave me recommendations on how to do this) but if it occurs again I wouldn't hesitate to call Dave again

Great work, very responsive. We had our work done 3+ years ago and Buck has come out to follow-up on request and to check the work. Recently we had another contractor chip the siding and within 24 hours Buck had touch-up paint sent to our home within 24 hours. I wish all contractors took as much pride in their work as Buck and Eagle Siding do!

Our previous service provider did an incorrect job, so our roof was leaking. The personnel from Walker Roofing were knowledgeable about their work. They did a fabulous job. They were prompt, and they came the same day that my husband called them out.

They responded quite promptly to our emergency call for help when the roof started leaking badly during the spring rainy season. But it took two more emergency calls before the leaks were finally stopped. The new roof looks nice and appears to be holding up. There were some other issues with the roof that they fixed after asking and providing estimates of additional expense. The worst part of the whole operation was the clean-up. I had to go through the driveway area by hand to pick up nails, to avoid flat tires. I picked up about a pint of nails

Very punctual, in fact about 5 minutes ahead of the appointed meeting time TWICE. Very professional, explained things clearly and went over it at the end. There were some parts that weren't shipped by the materials supplier, but it was corrected within 24 hours. I'm pretty happy with it.

Buck showed up within 24 hours of my call and determined the cause of the issue we were having over one window during our very rainy July! Our shingles were damaged and the rain was running off the roof and getting into and behind the soffit over and down thru the window. His people were over in a few days to install a quick temporary fix (some flashing) to stop the leak while we awaited the insurance process. Buck went above and beyond, working with my insurance company and the adjuster to get the needed new roof

I received a call back promptly, and the work was able to be scheduled within 24 hours. I told them I could only afford to hire them for one hour, and to accomplish what they could in that time. The work was done quickly and completely. JR followed up after the work was done to be sure I was satisfied

Kevin Coates responded to our phone call within 24 hours and came to the house the next day. The work was done to our satisfaction. We have used Coates Roofing for our roof and have recommended him to others. They have also told us they were satisfied with the work of this company.

I have heard nothing but bad reviews about Sela Roofing from people, despite the generally good ones on the internet, and I thought that maybe they had upped their game. Apparently not. While replacing our roof, there were several instances of old materials being dumped in our hallway, but they were generally cleaned within 24 hours. Then as they got further along, some blue glue glop leaked down a wall and onto the carpet. They had to replace the long strip of carpeting, but when they did did so with the wrong color. Now, this morning, about 2 weeks or so after finishing, we have two leaks in our condo. One of them is where a previous leak (and many others) led to the roof being replaced, another a brand new one. There is also a new leak in our hallway. After the long wait to get full use of our facilities restored while they completed their task, this morning we are wondering what the heck is next from these clowns

I had used Craftsman several times in the past for windows, siding and roffing work. After the tornado that hit Minneapolis, I called Dan that Sunday and asked if he could come out and get our roof covered to prevent any further damage. He stated that was not one of their normal services, but he thought he could find a couple of his guys who might be willing to help. Within 45 minutes, Dan called me back and told me two guys would show up Monday morning and cover the roof. Well, 3 guys showed up and had my rood covered by 9 am. Dan's team was quick. professional and did a great job performing a service that is over and above what they are accustomed to. It is very nice to know there are companies out there who are willing to help, with no promise of future work, when one suffers damage in a storm. Thank you, Craftsman, for being one of those companies

JIM ADJUSTED HIS SCHEDULE TO MEET MY NEEDS AND COME OUT TO INSPECT THE PROBLEM IN A COUPLE DAYS. THE PROBLEM TURNED OUT TO BE A LEAKY VENT. HE PULLED THE OLD ONE OFF AND WE CONFIRMED THE PROBLEM. THEN HE REPAIRED IT ALL WITHIN A HALF HOUR. THE MIN. SERVICE CALL WAS $50, BUT HE SAID THAT IF THIS DOES NOT FIX IT, HE WOULD BE BACK TO FIX IT AT NO CHARGE. THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND IT RAINED 2.5 INCHES AND NO LEAKS. JIM WAS FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING

My house was struck by lightning just after midnight. They came out at 3 am and put a temporary patch on the roof to keep water from coming on. I was very impressed by the gentleman that came out and how quickly he repaired the roof. He gets an "A". I was told by the person that sent him out that someone else would be out in the next day or two to give me an estimate on the actual roof repair. No one contacted me. After several days, I called and they had a hard time figuring out who I talked to or who was supposed to do the estimate. I finally got a message from someone at the company that does estimates. We played phone tag for several days. I answered a question or two about the roof via phone tag. I called repeatedly to book a time for the estimate. He never returned my calls. After 2-1/2 weeks, I gave up and found another contractor. Please note that a day or two the lightning strike at my house, the huge storm and flooding in Duluth occurred. Perhaps they were overwhelmed with business from that and the other local storms. But a call to say they were just too busy or that my job was too small would have been helpful

Called Tom when we had an emergency leak on the sunroof. He was out there within a day to put a blue tarp on it. Then he replaced the roof. We called him back a month later to do the main roof on the house as well. He does the work himself, and he is a real craftsman and a pleasure to work with.

I need to update my feedback in that I'm still having leaking and although Matt said he would come out again 2 weeks ago he never showed then called a week later to say he'd be out the following work day and again no show. A leaking roof is an emergency in my mind and a no show without a call to explain is not cool. I purchase the coupons deals to trial companies for current as well as future work. I would not call this company again when I do have a large job or need a roof

After water was running into the house due to ice dams they were able to come out the next day and get the water to stop comming inside. Thats the good. The bad is we were gouged to the tune of one thousand dollars for two hours worth of work. They did very little to clear the eves off, they still had a heavy sheet of ice. Its a week later and dams are back. They tried charging even more saying they worked longer than they did. Id say we payed 5x the value for 2/3 job
Tear off and clean up went well. Roof looks nice. Most importantly, there was a leak problem by the chimney noticed after a hard rain. Problem was promptly investigated and addressed. Siding on chimney had to be removed and shingles around area needed to be removed and water, ice barrier set down. We have had hard rains since then and no leaking. There was no extra cost to me. I highly recommend this company because they stand by their work and will respond if there is a problem
I am very satisfied with their work. He did a thorough check of the furnace, checked for leaks on condensate drain system. He replaced the inlet hoses on my washing machine. Very professional, came out within a few days.
I talked to Jesse Anderson about my leaky roof and he came to investigate. He found a missing attic vent and replaced it a couple days later. The job was very quickly done and charges were appropriate. I'm happy with the service work.
Mark came out and was right on time. He did a thorough inspection and let me know that the cause of my problem was actually a condensation issue related to the insulation in my attic. Mark patiently answered all of my questions related to the issue and suggested a solution. These guys were really great. Friendly, prompt, and thorough. I will definitely call them again when I need work done in the future
Randy was our main contact. He was thorough, considerate and amiable. This was the best part of our experience and really goes a long way to having a good experience. However this one was not. We were installing a new bathroom shower. There was no existing framing, shower pan, venting or plumbing. We planned to do the tiling of the shower unit and the floors on our own. Iron River was to frame everything and put in the cement board so we would do the finish. Our contact drew out a plan with dimensions noting that we would be installing a pocket door and providing our shower faucet hardware. He also told us they would come out before the job to walk through the details. Unfortunately, this didn't happen and probably led to the issues throughout the construction. Pipes installed incorrectly Instead of installing venting pipes and water lines in the wall or ceiling, they installed the venting pipes on the outside of the wall so that there was a 6 foot section of pipe running along the wall. Apparently the plumber had decided we could box it in with sheetrock. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I certainly don't like having a wall that isn't flat. Additionally, this would not have allowed us to put the cabinets back in their place. This run of pipes inhibited us from being able to install the pocket door that we planned to install. The pipe went through the clearance area for the door. They had to completely remove this and start over to do it correctly putting it into the ceiling. Plumbing issues The shower faucet we selected was a faucet that is a spa mounting to the wall. We purchased the unit in advance so it would be available to the contractor and plumber prior to the beginning any work. We let them know where the instructions were so they could see all the fittings. We even measured the boards out so they would know where bracing needed to be installed for support. I don't think the plumber or contractor ever looked at the unit. In order to hook up the unit all you needed was a hot and cold line. But they needed to be contained in a water proof box- which we showed to the contractor (Oxbox). They brought the wrong size, 12 inches wide for a shower unit that was only 7 inches wide, it was too big and would have been seen on the outside of the shower unit leaving gaps in the tiling. Not having the correct size box, put a rush on getting the correct one because the inspector was on the way. After trying to explain what they needed and where they could get it at Menards, I went on my own to try to expedite. But this caused them to miss their inspection time. Additionally, they didn't provide the correct types of fittings, so the unit hoses could not be hooked up. Their solution was to add an extension to the pipe with the right fitting. This added about 1.5" of protrusion from the wall. During mounting of the shower, this pushed out the unit making it near to impossible to fit the shower unit it. They also didn't put the Oxbox in the correct place, it was too low. Because of this the hoses couldn't reach the hot/cold pipes and we ended up having to re plumb. Drain issues The drain doesn't align. It's crooked in the fitting. Framing issues The framing required two hole insets for shower soap storage. These were not level and were crooked. The walls also bowed quite a bit, they were not level at all. It might have been better if Iron River had used some shims to keep the walls smooth. The material that was used for the concrete board also had large gaps in the seam areas and in some places where the boar was cut, there were rough edges that stood out an 3/4 of an inch from the wall. We had to sand these down in order to be able to lay the tile flat on the wall. Payment They were very quick to ask for final payment. As a matter of fact, the plumber left 5 minutes before payment was requested. This gave me no time to review the project as they stood there waiting for a check to be written. It was intimidating. Overall, I am not impressed and disappointed that this didn't work out. We had to do a lot of finish work we didn't plan for because of their sloppy work. And it was stressful to come home each day to something being wrong, having to call to get it done right. They subcontract their work too, so ask who the sub contractors are going to be and look them up. If you decide to move forward with these guys- insist on walking them through the project. And plan on being your own GC. I did let our contact know I was not happy with the project when he emailed me asking for a reference/review, just a short time after the project was complete. I let him know I was not comfortable, felt pressure to pay without time to review and explained the experience that I had was not a good one and that we had to fix their work. I'm sure Iron River will make some kind of excuses here, but I assure you we were very communicative with them in providing details of the project. There was a drawing done by them, we gave them all the information they needed to be successful, but the chose a lot of short cuts and didn't pay attention. This left us needing to be finish off the details to have it done right. The good news is that we have been able to fix everything and the bathroom looks beautiful
We had to put a new roof on our house because of all the hail storms. They just finished up the whole thing about a week ago. It's not really a company; it's an insurance through the bank. It was paid for by the insurance. My husband had a couple of sheds that had to be fixed as well. The quality was excellent
Zane arrived promptly and set to work for over 3 hours on the boiler problem and did not leave until he was satisfied everything was working well. Very courteous and professional.
VERY PROFESSIONAL. WORKED EVEN DURING COLD DAYS AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH BOTH SIDING AND THE TYVEC. THEY WERE VERY PRECISE IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DID WHICH GAVE US AN EXCELLENT RESULT. THEY CLEANED UP VERY WELL AFTER THEMSELVES AND KEPT US INFORMED AS TO WHEN THEY WOULD BE HERE (THIS WORK WAS DONE OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS SO THERE WERE SOME DAYS WHEN NO WORK WAS DONE. ALSO SOME OF THE DAYS WERE WELL BELOW 0 AND I WOULDN'T HAVE EXPECTED THEM TO TRY TO WORK IN THOSE CONDITIONS.). THEIR WORK WAS EXCELLENT OVERALL AND I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY JOB
they were very quick in getting to our house and cleaning up the "black water" from our sewer backup. it probably took them 4 hours and left everything in as good order as could be expected. Chris Miller, our project manager, came out the next day and went through what was going to have to be restored and coordinated everything with our insurance company. The carpenter that replaced our damaged custom woodwork did a fantastic job, you could not tell what was original and what was new. The painter match our pickling perfectly. All the work was done with little if any impact to us. They did things quickly and professionally. We had issues with our insurance company on how much they were going to pay to replace all of our basement carpeting. Chris coordinated everything and was able to get us an equitable settlement and we are very happy with the replacement carpeting. The installers did a great job and were done in a day and a half. throughout the entire process, everyone we dealt with at Integrity Restoration were professional, especially the initial cleanup crew who help us come to terms with the fact our basement family room was going to be torn up just before Christmas. When they left we knew getting things back to normal was going to be a hassle, but they were going to mitigate that hassle as much as possible. I write this 1 year from the actual backup and i am still very pleased with the work Integrity did. We highly recommend them

What do customers in Saint Paul say about Emergency Roofing?
I researched available contractors on Angies List that could address a small problem such as mine. I found TD Roofing which had good reviews. They offered an inspection service at a reasonable price. They came out within 24 hours to perform the inspection (I might add in the rain). They diagnosed the problem as a deteriorated septic vent that needed to be replaced. They came out and made the repairs in two days. Excellent service and very professional.
