He solved our problem and provided the most professional follow-up service to make sure the problem was indeed fixed. Excellent communication, professionalism, and we are thoroughly pleased. Burnomatic Mooney & Ridler
We had boiler troubles which resulted in no heat! I called Burnomatic and they were able to send someone out within 15 minutes(they happened to have someone finishing up a call nearby.) The repairman was at my home within 20 minutes of my initial call. The repairman was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Came in and got right to work. The bill hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on that, but scheduling was easy and the repairman seemed knowledgeable

Prescription Heating and Cooling
I spoke with Mike Daine from Prescription Heating by phone today to obtain an estimate on a replacement boiler for our home. Within the first minute of our conversation, he asked what city we live in. For installing new boilers (not for repairs), he needs to be licensed in the city in which we live. He promptly found out that we live in St Paul; a city that he is not licensed to install new boilers in. Instead of ending the call after he found out that he could not sell us a boiler, he continued to speak with me for about 15 to 20 additional minutes. He told when what brand of boilers were good brands to buy and why, he told me when was the best time of year to replace a boiler (We don't need to replace ours immediately... so we're flexible), clarified why we're replacing the boiler and if it is necessary to do so, etc. It was very encouraging to me that Mike would be willing to share his knowledge and experience with me even though he wouldn't be able to sell a new boiler to me. I am writing this review so that other potential customers might consider using him (so that a small, very customer friendly business can continue to exist). There's a reason why this business is rated so highly

Jeff was able to diagnose a problem with my 20 year old boiler and find parts even though the manufacturer is out of buisiness. He warned me after replacing the igniter to monitor the system and sure enough it became apparent there was a second problem. I was not charged visit fees, rather time on the job. I found the rates to be fair and the parts were what I would expect

Great! We were up all night calling companies that supposedly offered 24 hour emergency service and were called back promptly by this company and none others. We have 2 small kids and our house was about 50 degrees by the time he came out (about an hour and a half from when we called, again, on a Sunday morning) so we were thrilled to see anyone. He was friendly, worked with my husband and showed him a few things about the boiler and gave us some information on what we will eventually have to do to replace the unit. He fixed it fast and ultimately charged us less for the entire call, labor and parts included, than a different company was going to charge us just to come to our house! (I was able to compare when the other company finally called me back!) We will definitely call them again

I truly could not be happier. The boiler system had a leaky drain valve and an air pocket that 2 other companies never did get resolved. It was so loud and at night actually would wake you up when the zones would wake you up at times. Kyle spent better than 4 hours systematically working through the whole thing, and tested, re-tested and re-tested yet again until we all were satisfied it was good. Kyle explained it all as he was doing things. Multiple zones were involved and the air pocket seemed to manage to "hide" from everyone as the other companies just did not get it right. It took a lot of time, trial and error and a qualified person to get it done right. Highly recommend Uptown

Great experience with Jeff Boehm of Boehm Heating. I originally had anther mop any popular on Angies list come out but I didnt like the sound of their repair estimate of 760 so I paid their 69 dollar trip fee and called Boehm for a second opinion. Jeff was great. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, pre-ordered the part, made time the same day I called him, and had the whole thing done in less than an hour, all for 170 bucks cheaper than the popular company

Snelling Heating Cooling Electrical
We returned from a mid-winter trip to find our four-year-old Lennox furnace had stopped working, It was installed by Snelling and we called them to fix it. We have a complex 3-zone heating system in our house which made the resolution more difficult for the technicians. The problem turned out to be in the electronic control systems and it took them several tries to both figure out the problem and get it corrected. At one point I had a call from the company owner who apologized for the difficulties and said it was indeed their problem. When the dust settled, Snelling charged me only for some old parts that were replaced in the zone system since the furnace was under warranty and it took several visits for them to learn about the system and make the proper repairs. While the failure of the furnace was not their fault and the system was one they don't encounter on a regular basis, they did keep at it and always responded to my calls. We ended up being a training experience for their techs, but I would still call them again. The time it took to resolve the issue is the reason for the "B" rating. They have done other work for us which has always been excellent

Pronto came in $500 cheaper than Standard Heating and Air's estimate. Pronto only took 1 repair man 3hrs , vs Standard's estimate of 2 men 4 hours each. (Standard's repair man would not break down the estimate, just told me it was a standard rate and bid. Their main office game me the same story) Travis the Pronto plumber was very prompt, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, confident efficient and informative... he came in, told me what he would be doing, did the work, with no interruptions to me (I work from home), and was promptly done and out of my house in 3 hours like they estimated. Boiler works great!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Pronto to any homeowner!

Her name is Kathleen. I had used her when her husband was still alive. My son has a gravity feed furnace and it has got no moving parts on the inside. All it needed was some grease on what's called a stopcock. I called several furnace companies and they were trying to talk me into buying a new furnace for my son's house. Her husband Mark came over and he said, "You don't need a new furnace." He said, "All you need is some grease on the stopcock here." He passed away a few years ago and so now she deals with it. She does all the scheduling and everything. She kept it going

Repair seemed to go well. 2 years later scheduled a vist to check the furnace. No one called to say the tech would be late. After 45 minutes I called the office and visit was rescheduled until later in the day. Asked some questions of the tech about winterizing my home. Called recently to ask questions before going on a trip. Man answering the phone was helpful but he was trying to communicate my question to a plumber and then the answer back to me. I requested to speak to someone directly to be sure I understood. Was told I'd get a call. This did not happen.
