- Craftsman's Choice IncOver the last 5 years Craftsman Choice worked with us to replace our roof, all of our windows (42) and all of our doors. We had such a positive experience with the roof, when it came time to do our windows and doors, they won our business. The thing that makes Craftsman Choice stand out is their attention to detail, their responsiveness to our inquiries, and any actions required after installation. They even repaired an issue from our siding vendor as that company stop responding immediately after installation. Craftsman Choice, to this day. responds. There are very few roofing, window, door, and siding folks that will respond once they are paid, but Craftsman Choice continues to respond. I also have to speak highly about the salesperson, the project managers, and the craftsman that we experienced over this time frame. All performed highly, were great to work with, accommodating, knowledgeable, and made the projects easy. Sales was upfront, transparent, patient, and honest. Project managers were responsive, gave the bad news fast if there was any, and worked with us to get the job done to our satisfaction. The craftsman working for Craftsman Choice are all true craftsmen; and I do not use that term lightly. They have been there, done that, and that experience shown through thoroughly in each job performed. There will always be issues, but how Craftsman Choice chooses to deal with the issues makes them stand out. I have referred them to many coworkers and friends and have had no regrets in making a recommendation. I am not an employee; I do not own stock in Craftsman Choice, but the reason I write this is when someone performs poorly, I speak up. And, when someone does a good job, I like to make it known. FYI the $90k I mentioned in this was over three different jobs and several years. Would I go back to a poor company? No, I would not. I went back to Craftsman Choice twice

They were extremely good in communicating what is going on. The windows were late in arriving from the manufacturer and they told us about it. Matt Enfield, their salesperson with whom I dealt with the most is a guy whom I can trust. I don't know how many times we went back and forth on what we wanted and he was very patient came to our house numerous times to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. He provided pros and cons of everything. I feel very grateful to have found these group of people to work on our house

With the peculiar nuances affecting roofs in the Twin Cities; varying roof types (slate, tile, wood shakes, metal, & flat), harsh weather conditions, and seasonal extremes, our experience is invaluable. Our philosophy hasn't changed since we started doing roofs in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding areas nearly a century ago
"After dealing with ice dams on our previous home, we did some research and decided that we would like to invest in a metal roof when we moved into our new home. We moved this summer and knew at our inspection that the house had previous ice dam damage and a very old asphalt roof. We got three quotes, and Kaufman was in line with the other companies, however a tad more expensive. We went with Kaufman due to the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The crew that installed the roof was incredible. They were extremely proficient and hard-working. The time they spent detailing out each and every cut was extremely evident, and the end result looks incredible. Gutters came a few weeks later, and that crew also did a wonderful job. When it comes to metal roofing, the process was a bit murky for us as it's not super common and not something we've dealt with before. A couple things we learned to keep in mind: 1. Be very detailed in reading each line of your estimate. There were a couple errors on ours that were easily corrected, but definitely something you want to feel secure about before signing the dotted line. 2. Take care in selecting the metal color for your roof, and do some extra digging. There was a lot of self-driven discovery on the metal fabricators website, and the web preview isn't 100% accurate to the color we see in real life. We're only a few months in, but we are very pleased with this roof and our gutters. It's definitely an investment, but our hope is that this is our roof for life. It looks great, and more importantly, it seems to be a sound and secure product. We would definitely recommend Kaufman, without hesitation.

"Really well. I called Modern exteriors late summer and they thought they could fit us in before the end of the season. Unfortunately the weather and their projects expanding in scope conspired to prevent our work from being done in the fall. Scott was VERY accommodating and communicative about the schedule changes. This work was not critical to be done prior to the winter, so we agreed to pick it up in the spring. Scott booked us as one of their very first jobs in the spring, was communicative about when they could start (weather dependent). The team did beautiful work, and were all very pleasant and professional. Once the work started they kept to their projected timeline exactly. We will be re-dashing our exterior in a few years and Modern Exteriors will be my first call.
