  The team at United Wall has done another great job for us. This job was even more complicated than our last one because it was for our entire staircase wall, which is both high, curved near the top, and also on stairs. Also, this was probably 15-20 ft long of cracked wall and 7 ft high of cracks. This is excluding the big crack on the other side of the stairs that was also in this project. Same with part of our ceiling. They showed up exactly on time, completed the job on time, and did an incredible job protecting our stairs, preventing dust to other areas, and then cleaning up. They also did a great job protecting the entrance cabinets, walls, and windows. We used them about a year ago and were excited to hire them again for this project. The quality of that work has held up under tremendous load that we’ve put on some of those areas from another construction project that requires bracing that area of the house inside and out.   Painting by Jerry Wind did an absolutely fantastic job on an upstairs bedroom in our 1915 bungalow. We recently purchased the place, and the previous owners did a great job restoring and refreshing the place, but there was one room that still need some attention. The bedroom in question had walls and ceiling covered with stress cracks that had never been properly repaired - just kind of textured and painted over. Hugo, our foreman and principal worker on the job was just great to work with. He took a very creative approach to the job, constantly assessing the condition of the surfaces, identifying problems, and coming up with effective solutions. Then he brought in another plasterer named Juan for the skim coating - 2 coats. Together they got those walls and ceiling looking incredibly smooth, even before the sanding. And after sanding, priming and painting, it’s no exaggeration to say that the end result approaches perfection. They also did a small repair in the stairwell - a really large stress crack, poorly repaired previously, and right at eye level. Hugo (with help from Juan) cut out all the damage, patched and smoothed, then texture matched and repainted. The repair blends in beautifully with the surrounding wall. All of the work is really of the highest quality of art and craft. It was also just a real pleasure to have Hugo working in our home. He’s a true gentleman, super-responsible and responsive. He kept us looped in throughout the process, and would frequently check in to see if we had any questions or concerns. Juan was great, too. And Dan, our initial contact, estimator, and final inspector. was really sharp, too. Very straightforward in how he communicated with us.   It went great! We highly recommend Kurt and his team at Home Transformations. We recently had a very extensive interior painting and wall repair project completed by Home Transformations, and are very pleased with the experience and results. We had first worked with Kurt and his team at Home Transformations in 2019 on exterior painting at our house. The price was fair (not the lowest or the highest quote we received), the quality was good, and he and his crew were easy to work with. Based on that experience, Kurt was our only call when we were ready to tackle our interior. The interior painting was in our small St. Paul home where we live — not a vacant house — and we wanted nearly the whole interior painted. There were also significant repairs needed on our long-neglected plaster walls and ceilings and the intricate moulding throughout the house. We were worried about the disruption, but Kurt and his team was able to work with us to very quickly complete the project in just a week while we went away for spring break. There’s obviously a lot of chaos involved, but they made it as easy as possible — carefully moving and protecting our furniture and putting it back when done. And they got it done on the aggressive timeline we wanted! They lived up to their name of “Home Transformations” - it almost felt like one of those HGTV “reveal” shows when we returned home, walking into what almost felt like a new house! As an aside, we were pleased to find out that the crew leader for our 2022 interior painting project was the same as the crew leader for our 2019 exterior painting project.   They were contracted for Livingroom, kitchen, main hallway and bathroom including ceilings. They prepped everything, tape, plastic. fixed holes in the walls I didn't even realize were there. While here we contracted for an additional room which was huge and lots of work. They handled it all timely, beautifully and we are so happy with the work.   I would highly recommend the United Wall plaster team for several reasons beyond the fact that they did a great job with the walls and popcorn ceiling at a perfectly fair value. 1) our home was built in 1914 and has large and small plaster problems everywhere and they worked with us to make this project doable for us and them 2) for some reason there were 2 layers of popcorns ceiling, both of which were painted making them harder to remove. They were able to and then the applied their artistic touch afterwards to make the ceiling look awesome (see pictures) 3) they were able to give a great electrician recommendation to come install lights in the ceiling before their work started so they could patch the holes after as if the holes were never there 4) John was on time for every appointment, returned every call and email, and made sure to text the job status at the end of every work day 5) their prep to make sure the rest of the house was clean was truly excellent and thorough 6) they even had a towel over the plastic for the floor given that it’s winter 7) the crew was on time every morning 8) the post-job cleanup was excellent 9) they were very nice and easy to work with 10) John has been doing this for several decades and has a few additional tradecraft skills that you only get and can validate because of being in the game for several decades They were a recommendation to us and we’ll only recommend and use them for plaster work in the future.   John and his team did an amazing job repairing cracked and bulging plaster in the back stairway of my 1921 duplex. This entailed repairing cracking and bulging plaster in multiple spots from the basement up to the second floor--some of which were very high up. They also repaired cracked plaster in two bedrooms in the first floor unit. They completed the work in 3 days, which was amazing. It looks great, and they were so great to work with from start to finish! I would highly recommend them for quality work at a fair priceshow more
