Tun Tun did work for us around 10 years ago (patio & walkway). The company was super attentive to our needs and did exactly what we asked. Tonight my wife and I were eating on the patio and noticed how well the patio and the walkway has stood up over time. We have had absolutely no problems with either, such as becoming uneven, or unpacked. Friends still comment on the work, though done years ago.

Julio and his team really exceeded our expectations in regards to timeline and professionalism. His team arrived on time everyday and even stayed late most days to complete work in a timely manner. After obtaining permits they were able to complete our project within a week which was incredible. Julio was with us and his team every step during the patio design and made sure that we were happy with products and outcomes. They even came back to add soil for our grass two weeks after they had completed the project due to some heavy rainfall. It was a pleasure working with Julio and we would highly recommend the TunTun Team !

TunTun recently completed a beautiful job on our very large bluestone patio with stone seating walls, pillars and lighting. Having worked with his team on 3 separate occasions, I recommend TunTun for three reasons: 1) Julio is a man of his word 2) great quality stone work 3) very fair pricing. He also gives recommendations on what would look nice and provide thoughts/ideas, which I think is important. Throughout the course of the project, he would always ask if I was happy, and he would always be accommodating. Overall, the project was completed quickly and to my complete satisfaction. Tun Tun Construction GREATLY exceeded my expectations with regard to the their professionalism, work ethic, competence, quality, and customer service. See attached image for before and after picture of our project. Our backyard was a complete mess before and now it's a space that we expect to enjoy for many years to come. They installed retaining walls, patio, walkway around the entire house, modernized our gutters/drain system, planted trees/bushes, installed landscaping rock, lighting, and - after all of the major work - they made sure everything was cleaned well. They also put topsoil and seed - and, one week later, we had beautiful grass! Julio Senior was such a great help in planning our project. His experience helped accelerate various design decisions tremendously. Julio Junior amazed us every single day - as he was so extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the work that needed be done. Julio Junior made sure that we always were involved at the right time and was always willing to accommodate any change that may be needed. He even went with us shopping for lights and plants so that he can help us make the right decisions! Our whole family was in awe at how efficient the Tun Tun crew worked. What impressed me most about Tun Tun Construction is that they really care about their customers. An example of this is that, the very next day after they had laid down topsoil and seed, we had a freak / unexpected torrential rain storm. All of the topsoil and seed was washed away and made a mess. Tun Tun's job was already done at that point, but they were very sympathetic about what had happened so they came back out the next day and re-worked the soil and seed. That was very nice of them to do!

We needed a 135 foot-long retaining wall constructed to support the lower end of our driveway parking area. Mr. Caldaron answered my initial email request, and all my subsequent communications during the project, very promptly. His crew were amazing. They worked essentially from sun-up to sun-down and completed a project originally estimated to take 2 weeks in exactly one week. To add to the challenge, we already have a finished asphalt-topped driveway that his crew had to work around and use as a material staging area and work area; they left no damage to the driveway surface, and at the end, they removed all the plywood and tarp materials from the staging area we set up and power-washed the drive - it looked the same as at the start.

The project went great!!! Julio and his team were wonderful! They did such a great job the first time the we have asked them back to do additional projects! Top notch. Great work, great quality, they do what they say they are going to do for a very fair price!!!

This is the second time we utilized Tun Tun Construction (previously for a patio and walkway). Again we were extremely pleased with this company and the quality of their work. The job(s) were completed in a very timely manner with great care and precision. We are very impressed by the work done by Tun Tun Construction and would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of work performed.

It is now 3 years after my job was completed, and I am finally getting around to writing this review. My wife and I opened our patio for this season, and it looks as perfect as it was the day Tun-Tun finished! We have enjoyed many days on this patio already, so it is finally time to write a review. Julio Sr., was a pleasure to work with. He showed up promptly for each appointment. He helped us plan our job, something that other contractors had no personal interest in doing for us. Our patio is substantial, and required a lot of DETAIL - exactly what Julio Sr. provided. The project was started exactly on the date we agreed upon. His son, Julio Jr., ran the crews. Julio Jr. was a pleasure to work with. Any time we had questions or concerns, he promptly addressed them, and always with a smile followed by the phrase "no problem!". The crews were clean and neat, and always polite. They always cleaned after they left. We had similar work done by other contractors before we found Tun-Tun, and we were very unhappy with those others. Now that we have had work done by Tun-Tun, we would NEVER have our hardscaping done by anyone else. He is a great find!

Excellent, excellent, excellent is the word to described Tun Tun construction and it's owner Julio. My brother hired him for his driveway and highly recommended him to me but I decided to do my own homework. Julio was the fifth contractor I had come by and he impressed me the most. When I first saw him I didn't think to much but I liked the first few words out of his mouth "I will do it however you want it done". He didn't just ask what you wanted done he had many good ideas on how he would do it. My project was pretty big 3000 square feet front and back with a lifted patio deck. His son Julito is following in his dads foot steps willing to change anything if it's not to your liking and there were a few times I asked to change things and he told me without hesitating "no problem I want you to be happy". Customer care is important and they have it nailed down. I had a few changes or extras that I added to the project and Julio was more than fare with pricing. In fact his price beat all the rest and it came with quality and professionalism and he did a lot of extra work for the money paid. Tun Tun construction probably scares the crap out of the competition and worth giving them a call they won't disappoint.

Julio was a pleasure to work with. His email communication and text replies were timely. While I changed the project multiple times, he was extremely accommodating to last minute changes. The pricing estimate he provided was fair. I would definitely use him again for other projects.

As Julio's previous ratings substantiate, I rate him OUTSTANDING in all categories. I contacted him for an estimate on a Sunday morning and left him a VM. He immediately returned my call and, in fact, came out to meet with me that Sunday afternoon. We discussed the scope of the work and exactly what I was looking for him to do with regard to to my driveway apron and driveway curbing. He had some great ideas and we discussed the various options. Within 24 hours of the visit, I received a detailed estimate of exactly what he was planning to do and the exact cost of the project. His pricing was very, very reasonable in light of the other estimates that I had received that were considerably more. Once I signed the estimate, he immediately fit me in to his very busy schedule. His team arrived at the agreed date and time and were extremely capable and seasoned masons. Further, they worked incredibly hardworking, arriving before 8AM and working until dark each day until the project was completed. The men were a pleasure to deal with, very respectful of our property and our family and left the driveway immaculate each night. Julio did an outstanding job in overseeing the project and making sure that it was completed on time and in the highest quality. I could not have been more satisfied with his work. My family and I have every intention of continuing to use Julio and his crew on all other hard-scrape projects we undertake in the future. I have done many, may projects with all types of contractors over the years and have had all types of experiences, some good and some not so good. Working with Julio and his crew was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The project went like clockwork from the day he visited me to scope out the work until the day he finished the driveway. If you are looking for a first class professional to do hard-scape work for you, Julio and his crew are absolutely the best! No need to look any further!

He answered my phone call and promised to give me the estimate, then, we hadn't received any response afterwards. He had very bad attitude and he is non-professional. He even told me he is not cheap guy at the first time when I call him. I totally don't understand his previous good reviewers.

Removal and construction of the new patio went better than expected. Julio was very easy to work with. The project was completed within the time that Julio stated. I definitely will use his services again.

I sent them email with request for concrete drive way and porch renovation but nobody called me back or answered to my email. I keep looking another contractors.

Julio and his crew were great. They were prompt and on-time or early every day. Julio was great to work with and is really knowledgeable about his craft. Julio even suggested some minor changes to the patio design to make it flow better and in turn making it more functional. Overall our project took just under 2 weeks with some weather delays but still very quick for the amount of work that has been done. I am writing this review about a year after the work has been completed and everything looks as great as it did right after installation (actually better since the grass has grown back!) Tun Tun did the job right with using the correct materials and suring up all the edging on the pavers. Could not be happier with the process and the result. if you are thinking of hiring Tun Tun don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed.

Julio Calderon and son, along with his outstanding work crew, are the very best! They performed the entire project in record time and working steadily throughout truly adverse winter weather. Julio is a delight to work with; he personally returned multiple times following successful completion of this impressive project in order to fine-tune it and re-check with us as to our satisfaction with his work. I strongly recommend Tun Tun Construction as one of the best hardscape/landscape firms in the area--all at a very reasonable price considering the extent and difficulty of the work they successfully performed.

We hired Julio and his crew to demo the existing, cracked concrete patio and walkway in our back yard and replace it with an expanded patio with stones of our choosing. The scope also included creating a pathway from our driveway to the new, rear patio, exterior drainage, and gently slope run off (vs. having a retaining wall). We figured it would be quite the undertaking since they also had to support the roof during this undertaking, as the area below, was being demo'ed and replaced. I called for an estimate and the response was immediate. Within a couple of days, Julio was out at the house and the estimate was done within minutes. We had an idea of what we wanted ahead of time, and Julio provided us with guidance on the design, drainage, and overall scope. Not only was it quick, but the bid was very reasonable, and Julio made us feel at ease with the choice of design, scope, timeline and price. Our design included Nicolock Blue Ridge Pennsylvania Blue pavers with Holland Stone Granite City-Blend edging, custom curbing, Pennsylvania Blue Stone stepping stones, and reseeding the grass (where it was dug up or mowed over with the forklift). Shortly after Julio left the house, we were encouraged to choose our pavers from a supplier of our own choosing, and on the day I chose to go to the supplier, Julio met me there to make sure that I was able to get the pavers I wanted, in the right amount and contractor's pricing. I handled the ordering and Julio's crew handled the install. Within the week, work began. The crew showed up early and stayed late, and was supervised by Julio's son (who also worked). They went above and beyond to get things done quickly, and made sure that the overhanging roof of our home was properly supported when they removed the columns to install the pavers (and then replaced the columns with our new selections). The only thing that delayed the project was a little afternoon rain. Even so, the work was done on schedule. Each day, everyone showed up on time, if not early. All of the crew members worked together like a well oiled machine and the project went off without a hitch. And every afternoon, Julio would show up to ensure that there were no issues and that we were satisfied with th eprogress. He even waited for me to get out of work, which was sometimes after 6:00 PM. We can't think of a single complaint during this project. The crew also created a walkway from the front to the rear of our home, with Pennsylvania Blue Stone stepping stones, and even asked me exactly where I wanted the stones (within the reach of my own steps, which I thought was very considerate. When the stones and drainage were complete, they brought in fertized soil and applied frass seed and cover to ensure that the lawn would grow back as if the patio and stepping stones were always there. We highly recommend Julio Calderon and Tun Tun Construction for any hardscaping/landscaping project, and plan to use them again when we are ready to resdesign and add to our yard.

I didn't wind up using Tun Tun or anyone because the job is just too big for my present budget. I'm writing this review to compliment Julio Calderon himself. He is a real professional, with great communication skills. He listened carefully to me, then asked questions and made suggestions that taught me a lot. If a bit of money fell in my lap today I'd hire Tun Tun in a heartbeat.

There should be an “A PLUS” category for Tun-Tun. These guys were great. The prices were fair and Julio was easy to work with. They were the hardest workers we’ve ever seen. They arrived on time and worked late every day to get our patio done by Labor Day for us. Julio suggested waiting till we saw the results of one phase before deciding exactly what we wanted for the next phase, and he was totally right. Once we saw how nice the steps, patio, and sitting wall turned out, we opted for adding a beautiful retaining wall to match. We are going to use Tun-Tun for another project very soon.

I found them on Angie's list and was very pleased with the work. Julio communicated very well and allowed us to design our patio walkway as we liked. He was very straight forward with the cost and no issues came up. Workers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves each day. Highly recommend!

Tun Tun Construction just completed an amazing job on our patio, retaining wall, landscaping and step. It all came out even nicer than we had hoped for. Julio's suggestion to make it a little bigger than we had originally thought we wanted was right on. They were on time with your start date, and completed the work earlier than imagined. The workers were friendly and respectful, and the work was done neatly with no debris left behind. We are happy to recommend Tun Tun to neighbors and friends. Our family will have great pleasure and be enjoying the evidence of their excellent work on our patio for many years.

Julio answered my Angie's list inquiry immediately, and came to estimate job in a day or two. He started right away and finished on time and there were so many details he took care off that I never thought of or weren't even gone over in the contract. Julio and his crew did meticulous work and constructed a beautiful paved pad that was filled with sand and leveled perfectly (my yard is way out of level) He and his crew did a tremendous amount of work leveling and regrading a lot of the yard to make sure it matches up to new work and is pleasing to the eye from far away and up close. and I am extremely pleased with the job. This pad is so well constructed and beautifully designed after the pool is long gone we have plans to make it a flower garden or even a base for the greenhouse we always wanted. Thank you to Julio and his son and crew for doing such a great job and finishing when he said he would. It is professionals like Julio who make Angie's list as popular as it is. One more little point but I think it speaks volumes about his professionalism, Julio and his crew had to slightly cut over 200 pavers so he could make a perfect circle as I requested. He usually uses a chop saw to make so many repetitious cuts which is quick but dusty, Julio noticed my wife had our windows open and also that a neighbor had some white clothes out in the sun so he went back to get a wet saw which takes more time but creates no dust, so very thoughtful. You will not be disappointed with Julio and Tun Tun Construction.

We requested that Julio provide us a quote for re-doing our aging front entry steps (3) as well as landing. In addition to a walkway that connected the the front steps to our side patio. They also created new steps and landing for our side entry (double sided entry of 4 stairs). His team was awesome. The were very prompt, very courteous and their attention to detail was amazing and they were able to match our existing pavers perfectly. They made a bunch of good recommendations that we might not have thought of on our own as well they were very open to changes or decisions that we wanted to re-visit in the middle of the process. I would certainly use Julio and his team again. You can tell he is an old world craftsman where his skill is only outweighed by his his desire to have happy customers!
