Initially, we thought we needed track lighting in this particular room in order to illuminate a certain wall. Mr. Mount suggested we try a simpler and less expensive option first: a new light kit for our fan, one with four bulbs instead of the existing single globe. If that wasn't sufficient, then we would try the track lighting. He installed the light kit, and it has been a completely satisfactory. We appreciated his presenting us with an inexpensive and practical alternative. We had told him on the phone that we were anxious to get this lighting taken care of as soon as possible; even though he was very busy, he made a concerted effort to come as soon as he could.

He has been to my house 3 times. He is the owner, and does all the work. This is not work subbed out by a young inexperienced person. The owner is honest, reliable, and does a good job. I would totally leave him alone in my house-he is that trustworthy. He has done all kinds of odd jobs-installing outlets, hanging/wiring a new light fixture, etc. Highly recommend and he is reasonable with prices.

When John came out to the house and we explained that we wanted to replace the old path lights, he suggested using some uplights instead for a portion of the lights in order to accentuate the shrubs across the pool from our porch. Then he lent us some path lights and uplights for as long as we needed them to make a decision on which we wanted. This was critical to the ultimate success of the project because we went through several iterations of lights before we decided exactly what we wanted. We're very happy with the final product. I recommend John for outdoor lighting projects.

I could not be more happy! Tim came out, examined the house, sketched a plan and talked about options for installation. Within 2 days I had a written estimate. On the day of installation Tim and his crew arrived at 7:30 and began to work. They were completely finished, cleaned up and gone by noon. Im still amazed that you cant see where or how they buried the electrical lines. Next spring Im going to use them to light my backyard. I would highly recommend them!

Recent Review: It went good. The guy showed up on time. It was weird because it was raining that day and we have an outside circuit box and it turned out that we just needed to flip the breaker over to make it work. He went ahead and didn't charge us for the service call for that part. We had other parts replaced that really weren't working well. It had a switchplate that was loose and he fastened that. They improved some lighting in the attic. Everything that we asked him to do, he did. He didn't have to come back for anything.

Recent Review: English Garden provided a quick estimate and kept us advised of their schedule. They also scheduled around our schedule. Work was performed quickly (basically one day by a full crew) to minimize disruptions to us. Best of all, the bill was less than the estimate by a substantial amount (around $700) which was a nice surprise and demonstrated their honesty and professionalism. Better yet, after the storm (immediately after the landscaping), they followed up with some follow up problems resulting from the storm. We couldn't have asked for better and are more than pleased with English Garden. We recommend them to anyone needing quality landscaping! Update: Due to water problems, had to install french drain. Installation was fine. However, all the grass died on top of the french drain and three bushes died. They advised they were coming back, but didn't, , so am faced with hiring another contractor to complete the work and correct the problems. Overall, just a bad taste from the experience. I shouldn't have to beg someone to come back to correct a problem. I am tired of people saying they will come back and never do, I just make sure I never use them again.
