I contacted 8 different providers on Angie's List and 3 - just 3 responded back. Dave came in middle of the road on price but head and shoulders above on professionalism. Having just purchased my home it was not yet occupied and I was looking for a contractor that could work with me on my projects for years to come. Neighborhood Pro Builders is definitely the team for me. This started out as a quote for a full guest bathroom remodel and let's just say my desires out weigh my budget which lead to the 'must get done now' list that Dave and his team worked on. The downgrade to a B I punctuality had to do with initial start day was delayed. It was due to the job before mine going longer and the painters not being able to start as planned. Things like this happen but if your schedule is tight I want you to know mine was off by 2 days. My plan is have them replace my windows in the early spring and then do the roof in late spring and hopefully sometime we can get back to redoing the guest bath.

Bruce France was very responsive, prompt and courteous. His team did an outstanding job of furniture positioning, cleaning and workspace maintenance. Work was completed as requested, within the estimated price. Although a bit more expensive than other estimates received, the quality of workmanship and consultation with the owners will definately have us using his services again.

We called several times regarding issues with this work. They came out to look at the gap between the finished trim work between the doors and floor that is about 1/2 an inch. They have come out once to take notes. I've called twice to make an appointment for this work to be fixed. No repair work has ever been done.

Cristofir Bradley Cabinetry
We had crown molding installed by another contractor. The work, which took months to complete, was unsatisfactory to say the least. Christofir Bradley was hired to redo the job. He arrived exactly on time every day, cleaned up after himself every day, was able to salvage most of the trim and save us some money, and did an outstanding job. Our house is nearly 100 years old and has unever/out of square everything. Christofir was able to adjust to the special requirements and provide very clean joints. He also repaired a screen door and window sill while he was at our house. This is the best service of any type that we have experienced since moving to Memphis. We highly recommend Christofir.

IVAN COOK CONSTRUCTION/CAPITAL CONSTRUCTION
We have an old house with out of square walls and ceilings. We asked that the molding be matched to what is present in other parts of the house. It was not. The crown molding was hung as if the walls were square. One of the workers smelled like booze, and they left a mess every day work was performed (which was infrequently). I found better matched molding and had the work redone. It didn't look any better except we had gouges in our ceiling from taking down the bad molding. We hired Cristofir Bradley to fix what had been done and he did an OUTSTANDING job. Please read our review and consider him if you need this kind of work done. Cristofir was a few hundred dollars more than Ivan (Cristofir also painted the molding, fixed a screen door, and repaired a window sill- so it was really a wash on price). We would have saved a lot of time, mess, and money if we had hired Cristofir first.

Joat Construction
The building my business is in (a freestanding house) had both external and interior termite damage, it also had a roof leak that caused some structural and some cosmetic damage. Mr. Barrett showed up at the agreed upon time and went immediately to work. He replaced the damaged sheetrock where needed, he taped and floated with way less dust than I expected. He also replaced two windows, installing two new windows and replacing all the surrounding trim. He repaired a leak in the roof. He did all of this in a timely fashion and cleaned up pretty well after himself. He seemed a little rough around the edges, but turned out to be very professional and great at his job. I would definitely recommend him for any home repair.

We saw Brad build a beautiful storage shed in our Cordova neighbors backyard, then we obtained a verbal reference from the neighbor. We are retired, so we saw him hard at work from our kitchen windows! His pricing is extremely reasonable, especially compared to 3 other quotes we got. He did excellent work on everything he did for us and at neighbors. We had not noticed the fascia and rafter problems until he showed us. His repairs saved us bigger problems later. We are going to use Brad in the future to install hardwood floors, tile. crown molding, interior paint, and anything else that needs to be done. Brad went "the extra mile" to make sure everything was correct. In 38 years of home ownership, Brad is the best we have used in home improvement.

It was an excellent experience. He was very punctual and works very fast all day. He is very clean, neat, and particular about his equipment. Most importantly he was respectful to the property. Premier Custom Homes & Remodeling
Premier crafted and installed custom built in bookcases in our den. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in the design process. They suggested using fluted trim that matched the trim in our den as well as other features that truly enhanced the look and made the bookcases seem they were original to the construction of the home. Craftsmen were polite and professional; the job completed in very timely fashion. I hope to use Premier for other remodeling projects we have coming up. Highly recommend this firm.

They met my customer's requirements and maintained the job site very well by keeping the dust and debris out of the rest of the house. All work was performed in a timely manner. This particular job went without any problems on the kitchen install as well as the construction, which is a rare thing. Outstanding job!!!

Recent Review: The replacement sashes are awaiting installation as we have wanted to clear the decks of previous repairs being done; and we wanted to paint the wood replacements ourselves. They therefore occupy a place on our breakfast area floor. No one else could match the original windows exactly. Since we are replacing some, but not all, windows this was a prime consideration. Schaefer had gone out of business in 2009 and were the manufacturers. We particularly like the style and scale of the windows, down to that of the muntin bars. The only problem was that, for a while, it seemed that they were not going to be able to match the configuration, style, and scale of our existing muntins; and our existing muntins were twice as deep as the available depth in the replacement sashes (the only difference between our existing sashes and the new ones). The glass is inset slightly differently in the new windows. However, after a number of calls, they were able to provide matching muntins with the appropriate depth to work with the new sashes and we were on track. The price is reasonable. They will install them later after they are painted. If you have Schaefer shop-built windows, check with Central Woodwork.
