Recent Review: The job went very well. I was impressed that Amit killed it with regards to knowledge & professionalism, AND he had the lowest price (of three bids) by over $1000! The crew showed up early on the scheduled day. Amit was very pro-active with regard to updating the schedule based on completion of another job and the weather. He communicated all the details of what would happen ahead of time and was able to coordinate with the schedule of my AC and electrical guys so that the job execution was flawless. The tear off and sheathing was done by a sub-contractor, all in one day. The only problem encountered was when a sturdy member of the tear-off crew stepped on a rotted edge board and had his foot go through it and the ceiling of the interior room. The crew was going to fix it themselves, but Amit wanted to make sure it was done to his standards, so he stopped them and deducted the cost of the repair by my patching crew. (I had a crew coming to repair the holes from my electrical re-wiring job.) The roofing shingles were delivered later that day onto the roof, right on schedule. Since it was a Friday, he had his roofing guys do the roof on Saturday, so we were able to watch the work progress. They started at 7:30 am and performed the work like textbook. They started at the valley where two ridge lines met and worked out towards the outer edge while keeping the rows of shingles staggered. (I attached pictures of the work in progress and the repaired wood near the eaves.) There were a couple of edges that curled up, but after a week or so everything settled down nicely. The only minor markdown was responsiveness, because Amit was a little bit harder to speak to after the job. Regardless, the roof is beautiful and I would highly recommend Amit and Express Roofing to anyone looking to re-roof.

Recent Review: Preferred remodeling was extremely professional and did a fantastic job. They worked diligently and completed the job in less than 2 days. Vincent and his crew were very pleasant and easy to work with. Also, from the other estimates we received they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Very much price competitive. Highly recommend them and will call them again for our other projects in the near future.

Recent Review: Met with Adam for an estimate, he was the primary contact. They were the lowest estimate, so I decided to go with them. Work was scheduled for about 2 weeks later. I work during the day, so never saw the workers, except for first thing in the morning as I was leaving. The work was done well, and within the time frame estimated. Luckily, the 50 year old house had only a small amount of wood that needed to be replaced-yeah!. After the roof was done, I was waiting for the city of Huntington Beach to come out and do the final inspection and was not too happy to find out that the city building inspector requires that a ladder be furnished for the final inspection-seriously??? What building inspector doesn't have their own ladder??-but this review is not about them. Adam arranged to have a ladder brought out to my house and rescheduled the inspection, so now everything is completed and I didn't have to borrow or buy a ladder. That extra effort made my day!

Recent Review: Overall, everything went very well starting with the initial visit & quote from owner Joe Shulman. Joe's presentation, customer service & follow thru were excellent and also included detailed consultation with my solar panel provider related to the solar panel mounts & flashing. The actual workers were punctual, thorough and cleaned up the mess completely. The ridge vent system I had installed also looks great and will help keep my house cooler in the hot summer. I went with the 50yr GAF Timberline HD shingles and the finished roof looks fantastic.

Recent Review: When thinking about a big job, you get numerous estimates from sources such as Angies List, friends' recomendations, or roofing supply store references. You are apprehensive about the choice for signing a contract, and only feel some relief when you spent time with the company rep, and then talking to the crew foreman of the contractor. Rooftoppers' proposal contract was in the middle of the price range of my estimates, and had a good recomendation from a friend and neighbor, as well as good reviews on Angie's List. The tear off of old cedar shake went very fast. They protected all surroundings with tarps, and the cleanup was to my wife's liking. The nailing of the plywood was very efficient, and they took their time to make adjustments to the edges of the plywood so that they were well supported. The next morning the materials were loaded on the roof by the supplier, and the crew installed the vents, applied peel and stick weather guard under the metal valleys and around the flashings, and applied the 30lb paper. It was water proof by the end of the day. The foreman was willing to answer my questions and explain some of his techniques learned over numerous years of experience. The crew took extra time around our chimmey to make sure there will be no leaks.The crew worked steady and carefully when nailing the shingles, and the result looks good, with straight lines and matched sections. The crew was very professional, and cleaned up as they worked, with a complete sweep of the area at the end of the work day. An inspector came by, and all the permits and workmanship were up to code, and he left satisfied. There was someone from the office, including the owner, to check on the work every a day. The owner came by again near completion, to walk the roof and answer any concerns. I rained the evening after completion, so I went into the attic to check for leaks around vents and pipes, and everything was dry. Great experience, a good value for the money. My hat is off to Rooftoppers!

Recent Review: I really won't know about the work until it rains. He said if it rains and if there's a leak that he'll come back and look at it free of charge. He seemed very up front about everything and didn't try to explain that he was guaranteeing anything. He was very straightforward. The price seemed good. I called him and he called back and spoke to my wife. He was scheduled to come out that day but didn't and called back the next day. His punctuality was fine. He wasn't excellent, but he was on time. He was very fast. I would use him again in the future.
