"My HVAC unit was 20 years old needed consistent repair, and my ducks where leaking. It was time for a new unit. I also wanted to relocate the condenser to improve my back yard space. I had gotten 4 quotes before someone referred me to http://www.aircmechanical.com/ Vitor was literally the first smart person to offer a quote. He suggested relocating the condenser to a side of the house and changing it to a suitcase type unit. He also came up with the creative solution of adding a 2nt inlet in another part of the house to reduce noise and improve airflow. The other contractors wanted to enlarge and or relocate the existing inlet which would have been an ugly mess. I now have an extremely efficient 2 stage unit installed correctly and he beat the other quotes. Entire product was completed in 2 days. I couldnâ t be happier. "

"They were very professional and methodical in determining the problem. They were very efficient in ordering the needed parts and installing the parts even though it was in the midst of the New Years holiday weekend."

"I got bids from a *large* number of installers and Red Mountain gave me the best equipment for the price and did a nice job of it despite a few early teething problems that were resolved quickly and competently. But note that the going price in this area for heat pumps is significantly higher than in other areas of the country - regardless of which installer I let bid on my home. In my opinion, given energy price trends, the environmental impact of heating with gas, and having existing solar power on my home, the benefits of a heat pump outweighs the high price in this area, but YMMV. Think thru your position re: BayREN rebates and the recent federal Inflation Reduction Act rebates carefully to make sure you qualify."

"Project: A damper needed to be installed between the furnace and one duct line leading from it. In order to make sure all registers fed by the duct line were controlled by the damper, it had to be positioned as high upstream as possible. The job was complicated by an unclear vision that this should have been the original plan. This was not entirely due to the technicians. The cost of the job was calculated based upon breaking into the ceiling and accessing a substantial amount of duct. After about 5 ft of ceiling was exposed, the owner realized that any dampers installed in the exposed duct would be too far downstream to control nearby upstream registers. The job was re-purposed at that point, with the help of a more experienced technician than the one who designed the original job. A small section of the ceiling much closer to the furnace was opened up, and a damper--designed and constructed by the experienced technician--was installed through a slit made in the duct. The damper could be controlled from the outside by a lever, and would be able to determine heat flow to the registers that had been providing too much heat to the affected bedroom. HVAC Guru reduced the job cost by 11.5% to reflect the reduction in labor from the original invoice. The technicians were courteous, responsive and professional. Administrative personnel were courteous, responsive and professional. Some detailing for the damper control, and testing under real conditions (winter weather) are all that remain for the experience to be considered completed."

If your HVAC system is making new noises or the air isn't the right temperature, then something is wrong. Even smaller signs like more frequent air cycles or dirtier filters are a warning about a developing malfunction. If you notice your air conditioning isn't working as well as it usually does, find an HVAC contractor in your area who can look it over.
Most HVAC failures develop over time instead of being a sudden malfunction. The sooner a company can send a technician to your home, the more likely they are to catch an overworked motor or low coolant before it damages your system. Local contractors can provide even more services such as:
