Indianapolis Fuel Tank Removal

Great! The tank was drained and removed (there was more oil in the tank than expected) and everything was cleaned up very well. They showed up right on time.

This company is great. They call around the "estimated" time that you will need to have the tank filled and schedule an appointment. We were on vacation the week he called and when we got back I completely forgot to check the gauge (we had never lived in a house without a gas line before). By the time I remembered to check it (around 11pm), we were REALLY low on oil and he made a trip out to the house the next day even though it was completely our fault for not checking on it earlier. Great guy!

Hope was responsive and professional. They were able to match our schedule and install the water heater as requested.

Water heater sprung a leak on a Saturday. We had a speciality water heater. Called around several places and nobody was able to deliver service until Monday since they didn't have this water heater in stock. ARS got in around 2pm and installed the replacement tank by 5pm. Cleaned up and left the place looking as good as new. They also recommended an overflow tank to prevent the issue. Tank was under warranty. cost was for labor and overflow tank. While they weren't cheap, they were certainly worth every penny. Will definitely do business with them again.

This project went fine. Scheduling was easy. The owner was quick to respond. Removal was tricky. There was more oil in the tank than expected, but they had enough buckets to collect it all. I appreciate that they hauled the oil away. They did struggle to get the tank apart and get it out of my basement, leaving some scratches on the basement floor and wall, as well as oily hand prints. But I understand it's a messy job, and I was planning to repaint the stairwell anyways. They did clean the floor with a degreaser, which made my clean up after they left pretty easy.

The plumber was friendly and knowledgeable. The work was done quicly. tank to bowl bolts replaced. I thought it was a little expensive for the work, but the overall experience was ok.

EXTREMELY REASONABLE, NEAT & CAREFUL. IF YOU NEED SOMEONE TO DO THIS TYPE OF WORK, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO CALL.

Fine. Estimated the work, quoted the price, picked me up off the floor, I agreed. Also asked about repairing or replacing a leaky outdoor faucet. He quoted over $400. Said rates were flat, based on job type. Didn't produce a rate card, but I didn't insist. Must be all about the labor since a toilet seal is less than $5 and an outdoor faucet is less than $20.

THEY CAME AND DID EVERYTHING IN ABOUT 4 DAYS. THEY REALIGNED THE CHIMNEY. THEY REMOVED 2 OIL TANKS. WHEN WE CALLED OTHER COMPANIES TO REMOVE TANKS, THEY QUOTED ABOUT $500 PER TANK. APPEL CHARGED $550 TO REMOVE BOTH. DUCT WORK-$785 FOR 2 SUPPLY RUNS INCLUDING CUTTING THE FLOOR. AIR CONDITIONER, 3 1/2 TON AMERICAN STANDARD-$2200. FURNACE WAS 92% EFFICIENT AMERICAN STANDARD-$3200. WHEN THEY WERE DONE YOU COULDNT TELL THEY HAD BEEN HERE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THE HOUSE WAS WARMER. OUR HEATING BILL WENT DOWN ABOUT 30%. SCOTT APPEL WAS QUICK TO RESPOND. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY. ANDY AND VIRGIL WERE EXCEPTIONAL (INSTALLERS) CLEAN, FRIENDLY, CAME ON TIME AND DIDNT SCARE OUR KIDS. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.THEY ALSO INSTALLED AN ELECTROSTATIC FURNACE FILTER. PRICE WAS ACTUALLY LESS THAN $7,000 TOTAL. WHEN THE WEATHER WARMED UP, VIRGIL CAME AND PRESSURIZED THE AIR CONDITIONER FOR FREE. ALSO, HE SAID IF WE HAD ANY PROBLEMS, TO CALL HIM AT HOME AND HE WOULD COME BY ON HIS WAY TO WORK.

Bolls was out the next day. I told the repairman what had happened. He looked at the furnance and wanted to replace something. He did not fully explain what needed to be done and refused to give me a quote in writing. I insisted on at least a verbal quote before I would agree to the repair. He performed the work quickly and our furnace works great. I felt like he did not want to tell me what was wrong because I am a woman. Just got some negative vibes there.

It was okay. I was promised a morning appointment, with a call 30 minutes before arrival, and never heard from anyone. I called shortly after noon, and was told that one of the technicians was called home for an emergency, but that the dispatchers had forgotten to call me :-( ! The technician tried to find a replacement tank, but it was unavailable, so instead replaced the entire unit. There was also some controversy over the price. They sold me a membership, but then wouldn't let me use one of their coupons I receive in the mail from time to time. They ended granting me a one-time exception (thank you!) but I had to "raise a stink", and the job took considerably longer than it should have because of this.

Toilet was leaking around base and constantly running. Service person recommended replacing tank flapper and pulling toilet to replace wax ring and reseat toilet. I was told the price before agreeing to the work being done. At the time I had little choice but to have the work done due to the house being rental property. Reflecting back on this service compared to recent plumbing work I had done (see recent review) I feel the price was extravagant for 20 minutes of work.

Showed up timely - let me know ahead of time they were on their way. Courteous, professional and quick to get the job completed. Will definitely use again.

John replied to my inquiry within 30 minutes on a Sunday night and was able to pick everything up Monday before noon! He communicated the day of to give me an approximate time and then again when he was on his way! They quickly loaded everything up and were on their way and the junk was off my property.
