Indianapolis Home Wiring

It has taken me a long time to write this review, because while I LOVE giving good reviews, I really dislike giving bad ones. We were having problems with a few of our electrical outlets not working - a few inside the house, and most of the outside ones. We decided to use the Angie's List coupon for White's Electric. The men who came out were very nice and professional, and looked over our home's wiring. They let us know that many things were not up to code, and the whole house needed to be rewired quickly. We set up an appointment, and they showed up - on time, again, very courteous, extremely nice people. They finished everything in one day. We thought everything was great, and no worries. The very next week, the outside outlets started going out again. They sent a technician (at a cost of $100 for the trip) to press a reset button. They also told me that any trips they made to check on things would be $100, and that pressing this button should solve my problems... It does not. Three years later, we are back where we started. One of the same outlets in the house is not working - again, and MOST of the outside outlets don't work, even with pressing the reset button. I don't have the $100 to keep calling them to come out to check the work that they did. I am not satisfied, and would not recommend this company.

Went very well. The technician was on-time, good appearence, friendly and handled the rewiring without any problems. Would use again.

He did an awesome job and was very kind and very know and knew immediately what we needed and fixed it right on the spot.

I THOUGHT I WOULD NEED TO HAVE REWIRING DONE, BUT WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THEIR ASSESSMENT OF THE SITUATION.

It went well. He sized up the problem quickly, realized there was a problem with the circuit breaker and got it rewired properly.

Mike did a great job. Was on time, figured out a great way to solve a difficult rewiring problem and wore a mask without me having to ask.

THEY DID ELECTRICAL WORK IN THE BATHROOM, REWIRED THE OUTLET ON THE BACK PORCH, THEY PUT IN A NEW ELECTRICAL RECEPTACLE AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS.

BEST COST ESTIMATE FOR THE WORK. DID NOT, HOWEVER, FOLLOW-UP ON REPAIR TO BREAKAGE OF TWO LIGHT FIXTURES WHICH OCCURRED DURING THE REWIRE.

The problem was difficult to solve and took many hours. Found faulty wiring in a couple of locations and rewired. Did a thorough job. Price seemed a little high.

They were on time! Did all the work in less than an hour! Definitely would hire again! They are coming back to rewire a ceiling fan.

HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WORKED HARD. HE WAS AN ALL-AROUND BOY SCOUT, I COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER.

WE WERE ON A TIGHT TIMELINE. BILL OFFERED ADVICE THAT WOULD SAVE TIME AND MONEY AND DID NOT TRY TO ''SELL'' ANYTHING. HE WORKED US INTO THEIR SCHEDULE AND HIS CREW DID THE WORK ON A FRIDAY NIGHT WORKING TILL 10:30 PM TO GET IT DONE. THEY EVEN DID SOME WIRING THAT WASN'T ORIGINALLY PART OF THE JOB. JOB LOOKS GREAT.

Bill Ellison was very helpful with troubleshooting our difficulty with our circuit breaker. He was able to discover the source of the problem. Ellison Electric did great work!

THEY DID GREAT WORK, VERY THOROUGH. THE WORKMEN WERE PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL, & EASY TO DEAL WITH. THEY WERE AS NON-INVASIVE AS THEY COULD BE. WE HAD RECENTLY DONE A GOOD BIT OF INTERIOR PAINTING & DECORATING, & THEY WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT WITHOUT DAMAGING THOSE IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH WAS VERY DIFFICULT, AND NOW WE DON'T HAVE TO REDO ANY DRYWALL THANKS TO THEIR VERY HARD WORK. THEY STAYED WITH THE PROJECT ONCE IT STARTED, AND WERE ABLE TO WRAP THINGS UP IN SEVEN OR EIGHT DAYS. THE ESTIMATE PROCESS WAS HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY AND COURTEOUSLY AS WELL.

If you need a knowledgeable, reliable electrician and want to know the job is done right - this is who you call! 1) They gave me multiple FREE inspections and estimates on homes for which I had a purchase agreement. Each was customized to the circumstances. I never got the sense that I received a "standard" quote and the inspections were always thorough and explained in depth. 2) They know their business. They know Codes and they know which codes are safety issues. 3) They show up on time, every time. 4) They keep you informed 5) They are flexible. When my large project required multiple changes at the 9th hour, they walked through everything with me and took time to understand the scope of work. 6) They made relevant recommendations and suggestions. They thought about things I had not considered, such as the simple need for an outlet in a bathroom that I had not noticed was missing or how one might naturally move through a house and where a switch for a fan vs. light may be helpful. 7) They alerted me to potential problems I might face with their work; e.g. plaster walls sometimes crumble when disturbed for electrical work. 8) They asked my preferences; minimal drywall damage vs. moving fixtures to ensure they align. 9) They accurately predicted the time to complete the work and finished on time. 10) They were careful to secure my home when they left each day 11) They cleaned up when the work was complete. I found no indication that there was any debris left in the attic or basement. All in all, if you want a job done right - pay the pros. Joe Schmo are professionals.
