Reviews in Dallas to Prepare Building Site

Focal Point Landscaping Inc

We are very pleased with Ted and his crew and the work they did! They showed up when they said they would and worked hard and efficiently and quickly. Ours was a smaller project than most landscaping projects, and Ted was able to fit us in between bigger projects so our wait time for the work was minimal. As a testament to the integrity and professionalism of Ted, we realized later in the day, after the crew had left, that we'd mis-marked the area that needed to be excavated. Ted was very understanding and got his crew back out to our place 4 days later to correct our mistake. We would highly recommend Ted and his company and crew!

EVERY THING WENT EXACTLY TO THE CONTRACT, AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE INITIAL RESULTS. HOWEVER, TIME WILL ONLY TELL WHAT THE LASTING RESULTS WILL BE (THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH STRUCTURED FOUNDATION REPAIRS IN EULESS, TX).

Berkeys Air Conditioning Plumbing & Electrical
4.0
I had water back up in 2 toilets, bathtub & shower at 3 AM, so waited until 6 to check Angie's & found Berkeys. They had good reviews & A at Better Business Bureau. Called them & they showed up right away. Plumbers & office staff were very nice & accommodating. My concern is the cost. The biggest cost of the $4200 was the excavation of trench (6 ft. long, 6 ft. deep, 2 ft. wide). They charged $2291.00 for 3 workers for 4 hrs. digging. The backfill was $549.00 for 2 workers for 2 hrs. I might use them in the future, but would get other estimates if it required any excavation.

Cody & Sons Plumbing Heating & Air

Philip, Cody, Brad and crew spent at least 4 days excavating dirt from under the house to reach a serious copper line water leak under our main kitchen sink. Initially they hired an expert leak finder to avoid drilling and digging in the wrong location. They found 5 cracked sewer drain pipes after tunneling under the house, in addition to the leak. Everything was repaired and tested. These guys are professional and do great work. This was an expensive job but something that had to be done, and we would hire them again instantly for additional work.

I needed my U drive grated and widen and loads of construction waste loaded into two 18 yard dumpster. Tim of Ground Level Dirt Service did a excellent job of widening and resurfacing my U drive. He made quick work with loading my construction waste in the dumpster, saving me time and not to mention back pain I would have had loading it by hand. Tim is very professional and skilled landscaper and excavator. I would definitely hire him again if needed. If you are needing any type of excavating, landscaping or general ground work done. I highly recommend Tim of Ground Level Dirt Service.

mike wells sand & tractor service

When our 12x24 above ground pool came to its end of life, we decided to remove it including all the decking and restore our backyard. About twenty five years ago, the 4.5? pool was installed approximately 3 feet below the surface. After we removed the pool we were left with a huge 12x24x3 foot hole, in addition to all the area that was once occupied by the decking. Then, after demolishing the deck and removing the pool we realized we were in need of a lot of soil to be filled in and a lot of material to haul off. With a lot of prayer and searching, we found and contacted ?Mike Wells Sand and Tractor Service? http://www.mikewellssandandtractorservice.com/contact.htm Right from the very first call PAM(?) was very courteous, professional, and attentive in determining our needs and providing a fair and reasonable cost estimate to complete the job. Prior to delivery of the first truck load of soil, Mike Wells and his son Skyler came by to finalize the planning. If you ever want to see an artist work with a ?Bobcat? tractor you won?t be disappointed watch Skyler his magic. Not only was the dirt expertly placed (with no damage to adjacent flower beds, fence, etc.), but he skillfully compacted and spread the dirt and top soil as if done with bare hands. By the time they were finished they not only neatened the area up, but also hauled away all the heavy materials which we were unable to. In the end the pictures speak for themselves. If your needing demolition, excavation, Landscape restoration we highly recommend this company!

ROG'S CONCRETE
5.0
Rog and his crew were very professional. They completed the work on time and saved us almost $2000 from previous bids. The crew worked as a team and you could immediately tell they had worked together for a long time. Rog identified a couple of areas that would have been issues with the inspector and we were able to correct them in advance of the inspection.

DeLong Services, Inc.
5.0
My residential kitchen sink stopped up and would not drain. I had a plumber snake the line which did not clear the stopped line. The plumber recommended DeLong to run a camera into the cast iron pipe to try and identify the problem. Pipe was full of black water preventing visibility, but the camera tech identified where the problem area was which was under slab foundation. The kitchen sink is adjacent to an exterior wall with a concrete slab porch. I hired DeLong to excavate a tunnel along the drain pipe to reach the problem area. Initiall the crew had to jackhammer a hole in the concrete porch about 3' x 3', then dug down about 4' and proceeded to dig a tunnel under the slab, excavating 22 feet in length in 2 days. The spoil pile was covered with plastic to protect it from rains over the weekend. On the third work day the plumber cut out and replaced the broken, sludge filled 2and quot; cast iron (T) combination with a 2and quot; PVC combination. On the fourth work day the DeLong crew returned and filled the tunnel with as much of the dirt as possible, placing the extra dirt in several low areas of my back and side yard just as I had requested. The crew patched the concrete and even textured it to match the original concrete as well as I believe could be done. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning the work site after the job was completed.

GRIFFIN CONSTRUCTION
5.0
We were extremely satisfied with the job. Biff spent considerable time on a walk thru of the work area before starting the job and gave us an accurate estimate of the time and cost required. Discussion with him revealed his indepth knowledge of local area soil and rock conditions and of pond construction. Watching him maneuver a 50,000 pound bulldozer was amazing. His ability to accurately position the large scoop bucket was impressive. He obviously has a lot of experience with this huge equipment. He put small brush and stumps into piles for later burning and laid large trees in a separate area for later firewood cutting. He constructed the dam and spillway to proper dimensions for the amount of water that would be held back. He smoothed the areas he worked in as he finished. He gave us a daily summary of how it was going and explained the different soil types he encountered. He also was very considerate of the cost of the job. After a rainy period, he said it was better to wait for more drying than to start work again because he would be less efficient in the wet soil. We had a vision of how we wanted the end result to look. Biff was able to make that vision a reality. And he did it in a highly professional manner. He was very pleasant to talk with and he worked hard to ensure we would be happy with the result.

American Leak Detection of Dallas
5.0
American Leak Detection diagnosed and identified site of leak on day 1. Scheduled repair on subsequent first available appointment. Work involved excavating a very small portion of the front yard. Site was clean after repair with minimal disruption to yard. Dig site was unidentifiable a few months after repair. System was pressure and leak tested after the repair to insure no issues and no additional leaks. Throughout repair process was photographed by technician and sent to me via SMS. Excellent service and experience throughout!!

Recent Review: I must say, out of the 3 foundation repair contacts i made Abacus was by far the most thorough. They went and explained to me what was going to happen step by step, what issues I was having and how they would be resolving them . They also had everything set up from the permit, to the engineer verifying the work was done correctly and checking for any leaks after. They may not have been the cheapest ( I feel it was a very fair price though), but you get what you pay for, everything turned out great. I would recommend and use them again if i needed to.

Recent Review: It went quite well. It turns out that I had a warranty with MBRGFR. They had leveled the house in 2010, a year before I moved in. A foundation repair is a multi-step process. MBRGFR sent out a plumbing company to perform a leak test. I failed the initial test because my sewer clean out was old and made out of cast iron and was leaking. They scheduled the plumbing company to come out and replace the sewer clean out. Once this work was completed the leak test was good. MBRGFR then scheduled with me to come out and add new concrete piers on the north west corner (front of the house) and to add some concrete to the existing piers on the west side of the house (NW corner). After this was completed, I was out of town for a week or so. MBRGFR and I scheduled the final leak test for May 1. The house / foundation passed the final leak test so the project was completed. I found the foundation crew and the plumbing crew to be quite knowledgeable and professional. The cost of the service ended up being $600 for the sewer clean out and $900 for the concrete pier work.

Recent Review: The project went quite well. The only slow down related to permit acquisition. The city of Dallas was rather slow in processing the paperwork to release a permit. Mr. Simmons was easy to work with, maintained a presence during the entire construction process and provided detailed information regarding work progress. I was always aware of when work would be going on and was regularly updated regarding work completion. The final product is exactly what we expected and looks great.

Recent Review: They were very efficient and reasonable in price. They dug deep about 6 inches down under the stump to remove that portion of the tree. They then covered it with top soil. The grass has grown over the stump perfectly fine. The price was great compared to other companies. The clean up job was great too.

What do customers in Dallas say about Prepare Building Site?

Went great. Mike Simon, the plumber, was able to quick diagnose the problem and had the excavation crew out in a few days. The crew quickly dug under the house and Mike was able to make the necessary repairs. The excavation crew then back filled the hole. Everything was done neatly and professionally.
