    After dealing with a leak in one corner of our basement for over 20 years we finally decided to do something about it and called Gardner Construction to come take a look. Jake was great and suggested a couple solutions to our problem. We had them put drain tile in our basement and replace part of aggregate sidewalk to keep the water away from the foundation. They came and everyone was courteous and very professional. Jake and Cole were very patient with me and all of my questions. They did a terrific job, they were able to dig into the basement floor while keeping the dust to a minimum which kept the rest of the house clean, made sure to clean up after their work and the aggregate they put down was beautiful. Gardner Construction was awesome and I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone who needed their services

    Everything was going fine until they started installing the wall insulation. They were attaching raggedly cut, irregularly shaped pieces of foam insulation to the walls, with large gaps between them. I complained to the sales office and they sent out the field supervisor. They ended up tearing out the insulation they had already installed and put up new, cleanly cut foam in a much more precise and careful manner. A half day project turned into most of the day because they had to get additional supplies and redo part of the job. They are capable of doing good work but unfortunately, I had to fight with them in order to get their A game. When they cleaned up, I discovered damage to my walls and to my floor, so I refused to pay the original amount. Joey then called me back and we eventually settled for a small monetary adjustment. He was insisting that I should be happy after they came out to make things right and that I shouldn't give a negative review. I insisted that I would give an honest review, and that I wasn't going to let them buy a good review from me. I was reasonably pleased with the results until this last issue. I believe this service was overpriced: $1000-ish worth of materials plus a half day of labor for 3 people for just under $6000 + damage to my floor and walls. Two of the 3 people on the crew were very courteous, but they just weren't very detail-oriented. I would like to believe my salesperson's assurance that this is an isolated incident and that they will be working to address the issues I have raised. For the sake of future customers, I hope this is true

    We did not have to completely replace the side staircase or redo the basement entrance for both instances. They were able to rein-enforce, repair and resurface these deteriorated and previously moss covered and crumbling concrete areas. It was handled in 1.5 days. Very professional, kind and capable employees. Left the sight very clean and did a spectacular job on the repairs. The areas look like new entrances. Very well done! The price was great as well. No complaints. We’re very pleased with this company and will be using them again
