Comment: I have a shutter that was removed when one of the hinges was no longer supported by underlying wood support. The original supporting trim, presumably now rotten and in need of replacement is covered by metal sheathing around the entire window frame. The newer replacement window is fine, but the problem is replacing the shutter by means of removing the metal sheathing, replacing the rotten original wood, reattaching the shutter hinge and then replacing the metal sheathing and hanging the shutter. All are on the second floor.
