I am a dog person and was always suspect of electric dog fencing and couldn't find any good reason why I'd ever want to shock my dog to help them stay in the yard. I thought it was too cruel, plus I wondered if it really did work. Then we adopted Lulu, a 3 year old yellow lab rescue. From the moment we took her home she had a penchant for running away all throughout the neighborhood. Over time, this did not get better despite our best efforts in training her to say in our un-fenced yard. The breaking point came one day when I was away on business and my wife was taking care of my 2 boys (ages 4 and 2 at the time). In just one day Lulu ran away THREE times and each time my wife had to pack up my screaming, whining boys in the car and drive around the neighborhood yelling the dog's name. As a final straw, we watched her dart in front of a moving car without a care in the world. We were fortunate that nothing happened to her especially since the boys were standing right there. Something had to be done. We explored physical fence companies but they were costly and frankly, it would ruin the open, wooded landscape we love about our property. In doing our homework, we explored other electric fencing companies and while they were less expensive in some cases, I questioned their ability to train the dog in "one day". Plus, I generally question the low cost providers of ANY industry since I know that typically the customer pays for the decreased price in one way or another. I called Steve at Contain My Dog. His salesperson was helpful and spoke from personal experience about the efficacy of the electric dog fence itself, but mostly the training process. It took a few weeks for Lulu to be completely trained. Steve took his time with her and made sure she was ready for the next real life "challenge" before we moved on. Installation was really not a big deal at all. I was nervous about tearing up the driveway to bury the cable but the line was very slight. Not a big deal at all. I appreciated that 90% of my questions were answered on the phone and I didn't have to deal with a pushy salesperson at my house for an hour or more. It's been almost a year and Lulu actually waits in the yard while she watches us go across the street to put my son on the bus every morning. Dogs and people come and go, but Lulu stays in our yard. We even put the cable way back into the woods so that she can still explore back there. We now have the peace of mind that Lulu is safe and we don't have to drag my boys around the neighborhood searching for my missing dog! I would recommend this company to anyone who takes training seriously, loves their dog and wants to keep them safe from harm.

Great! They were punctual and were excellent with training us how to use the fence with our dog. As well as assisted in training our dog on where the new boundaries are in the yard.

Brian is amazing, he is super attentive and detailed. I asked about a hundred or so questions and he answered all them with a straightforward genuine answer. He is as honest, trustworthy, hardworking and knowledgeable about his craft. Even after the installation, he has been attentive and helpful with all my questions. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. I'm very happy with my experience.

Excellent on time And easy to work with. Brian came twice as it was winter and we were expecting a storm. He did so in order to get wire in the ground prior to freeze. Followed up and returned the following week to finish and provide training. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding work. Arthur knows his business, and works quickly and efficiently. The fence wire had run under our front walkway. He removed the blocks and ran the wire, and replaced he blocks better than before. When he was done the only evidence of his being there were the warning flags and sign. After the install he spent about 30 minutes with me and Charlie (the Lab) explaining how to train Charlie to respect the fence. Before leaving Arthur told us to call him with any questions, and if we had any problems with the fence.

Brian was easy to communicate with before he came, answering my questions, and scheduling the installation, so I was confident he would do a good job. He did not disappoint. He arrived on time, listened to what we wanted, and installed the fence exactly where we wanted it. He showed us how to train our dog, so we are satisfied customers.

They were very easy to work with. They answered all the questions i had and even trained me on how to use the fence properly. The fence was professionally installed at an affordable cost. I could really see that they have a genuine love for animals and truly care about their well-being.

The work included going about 10 yards into the woods in the back and across a 3 car length wide driveway. He was very responsive from the start, calling me back immediately and coming out to take a look at the property and providing a quote within the week. He was ready to go with the project as soon as dig-safe came out and had the yard marked. While he doesn't provide formal dog training, Arthur did take plenty of time to ensure that I understood how to properly fit the collar the and introduce the dog the fencing boundaries. He was very knowledgeable and provided great training suggestions and recommendations.

He was very kind, prompt. He had to purchase a tool to do the work i needed and quoted me $15 - it ended up being $35, but he kept to his word. It was wonderful service and I'll call him again anytime I need help.

They were awesome. They came out and there was a snowstorm and they put the cable down even though we have like 4 feet of snow in the ground. They were like, "No, we can do it now," and they did it and it's perfect. I have no problems with the system and it's just been excellent.

They have always had good customer service. If the transmitter on the dog fence ever broke, I could send it in and they would send me a new one. It is probably out of the warranty. They were pretty good. They were very professional.

The performed the installation in a timely fashion, with good workmanship and quality materials.
