the company was excellent on designing the shutters for my windows.The price was best. The installer was on time,kept his area clean & shutters were installed on time.Plan on odering more shutters.

They design the shutters, build them and in then install them. Everything is done in California. I get a lifetime warranty on the shutters as well.

Very well. They are responsive, and have a great product. We had used them before for shutters in the bedrooms and would not hesitate to have them provide shutters again. When I priced bedroom shutters, they were in the middle for price, at the higher end for quality. Very easy to work with.

The shutters arrived exactly six weeks from the day I ordered them. They were installed within a few days. Gladys, the sales representative, is wonderful! Her price was the best and the service was excellent. I am going to order more shutters for my house from her. My shutters are beautiful!

We had three shutter companies come to give us estimates. The other two companies were pushing vinyl shutters, but we really preferred wood. Elizabeth Shutters was the middle bid, but they had the best design, and Deborah was the most pleasant of the three sales reps. The shutters were delivered and installed in the time frame that had been promised, and they look and work great.

I called this company for an estimate to repair my existing shutters. I explained that the shutters were installed by previous home owner and what I needed was some repair work. As soon as she realized that I didn't need a new shutter, she hung up the phone. I thought it was very rude. What she didn't know is I am trying to repair the shutters so I can sell the house and when I buy another house I will install new shutters. I definitely won't call this company when I need new shutters.

It was great! The shutter was installed within the 6-8 week promised date. Tom , the owner, do the installation himself. He is on time, actually arrive earlier than expected.The shutters look good.

We are the returning customer who requested three leftover windows w/o hardwood shutters. Their hardwood quality is excellent with robust hinges and flip pins, which is already proven from their first installation. They are thorough to match out shutter color with other wood decoration trims. Pricing is also very reasonable that she gave us a similar discount rate as previous work. Although, it took for six weeks after measurement to get shutters ready for installation. It is worth waiting for it. Their shutters are beautiful and brings us more value to the house. Definitely recommend.

We wanted plantation shutters for seven windows and roman shades on two more. Jeff was punctual from first visit on and described the kinds of shutters that were available from them. After we chose the shutters, they were very good about sending emails regarding when the shutters would arrive for installation. At installation day, Jeff did a terrific job - was thorough and shutters work great! The roman shades were done at a later date and Michele helped us pick them out. She was very good about letting us use the samples books for a few days to give us time picking out the style we liked. As soon as the shades came in - again, keeping us in the know about when they would arrive - Michele set an installation date and Jeff came and did the work. Both Jeff and Michele are very personable and the process from start to finish was pretty much seamless.

Measured and estimated the job that included customized design that would reflect existing molding and trim inside the room. Ordered shutters and made an appointment to install when the shutters were ready. Arrived on time for the installation, which was performed quickly, expertly and cleanly within a very reasonable period of time. The results are stunning, and we are planning to contact them in the future for similar shutters for our living room.

I appreciate Eric's professionalism and attention to detail when he installed my new shutters. He showed up on time, kept me well informed regarding delivery date while we awaited the shutters arrival from the factory, and was just really easy to work with. These shutters are absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend his company, absolutely!

They also had to come back and fix a few mistakes, they put one shutter on upside down, but they did come out and correct it right away. They are a little on the pricey side, but the shutters are of good quality.

Carlos Lindsey and his installer Eli were great. I purchased my shutters for my entire house from Shutter Mart of San Mateo 24 years ago. I only had two windows left to do. I was getting new windows for my entire house and just needed to finish purchasing shutters for one room. Carlos and Eli came to install my shutter and they did a excellent job. The service I received was way pass anyone could ask for. My hindges had tarnished in both of my bathrooms and Carlos and Eli removed the old hindges and installed new ones for me without charging me. Receiving compliments for 24 years for my shutters, they are still holding up and saving energy. The shutters hold in the heat at night when they are closed and allow so much light into the room when they are open. I have nothing to say but great compliments for Sutter Mart of San Mateo, and I have recommended them numerous times to people who have come to my home. The best part, after 24 years, the price was still the same as it was 24 years ago. A great deal and a great group of people to work with. They workmanship and installation crew were outstanding!

I was very very pleased with them and I had a good experience. I highly recommend them. I think they were probably market value. They did a beautiful job and I would absolutely use them in the future.

Had Hunter Douglas plantation shutters installed on 9 windows.They turned out well and looked very nice.

There are no details. Everything went fine. I'm totally satisfied with the shutters and the installation.

Hopefully the factory will deliver the four shutters in September as promised. Will update this report at that time.

Jeff was punctual, explained what he was going to do, very patient. Did excellent clean up work. I had him put crown molding & baseboards throughout my house & he did an excellent job later too.

Owner was on time for consultation. I had a pretty good idea what I wanted, so it went quickly, though he was able to go over the various options and challenges. Took a few weeks for the shutters to come, but that's to be expected given they have to be custom-built. No one likes waiting, but the time-frame was as communicated to me, so no issue here. Once shutters arrived, company promptly made an appointment for the short term, showed up, and completed work as promised. Quality of product is good and we are very happy with out shutters.

I used P & J Custom Window Covering to replace about 2 dozen mini blinds with shutters. It took 9 weeks instead of the quoted 4-6 weeks before the shutters are ready for installation. I had to call them to find out what the status is on the shutters, they should have been more proactive and contact me with the status instead. When the shutters are ready, it took 2 installers about half a day to complete the installation job. The installers arrived on time and are courteous.
