Excellent! I phoned the 800 #, described the problem. They had a repair person arrive the next day - and they also provided an estimate at the time of the call. The repair man arrived. He did a good evaluation of the problem and looked at a a variety of options to fix the carpet. He got the bump removed from the carpet, relayed the portion that he had worked on and the whole walkway looked perfect and like there was never a problem. I really appreciated the prompt, effecient and polite service - great job!

Conklin Bros
My corgi ate the carpet - and Conklin Bros of San Jose - saved it! We had beautiful new carpet installed, by Conklin Bros of San Jose, in May, 2012. I came home a week ago and there, right next to the piano where everyone would see it, was a pile of carpet fluff. In looking further, I discovered a wet square inch with no carpet at all. Our dog, a tough corgi, had pulled up the carpet (I think someone had dripped food on this spot.) I was heart broken - the holidays coming and a bare spot in the carpet. I called our great sales person at Conklin, Gail Irwin, and asked what I could do. She said they could fix it. And fix it they did. Marvin (the world's best carpet installer) came out and made the repair. He used a piece of the remnant we had kept; took out the bad spot; and put in the patch. This patch is completely invisible. I know because I looked for it - just cannot be found. Thank you Conklin Bros - my carpet is perfect and beautiful again! Your team is just the best!

SIMONIAN ORIENTAL RUG CLEANERS Simonian Oriental Rug Cleaners, did an excellent job on cleaning the rug. It was an old antique rug. They did a repair on it, but when they cleaned it a part came unraveled and they didn't fix that, or tell me about it. They had forgot to tell me. Price was fair.

Conklin Bros Carpet and Floor Coverings
Paul of Conklin Brothers in San Mateo quoted us for installation of wool carpet in two bedrooms. Paul knows his business and was very professional, taking time to explain our options without any sales pressure. We showed him a floor squeak and an unlevel area that, if possible, we wanted to fix when our new carpet was installed. He had a lot of confidence in his installation crew, but said he could not guarantee the results of the repair. Our new wool carpet was not cheap, but we believe the price was fair. And Jose and crew did fix the noisy floorboard. The carpet looks great. We would recommend Conklin Bros of San Mateo.

G & G Carpet Rug Upholstery And Tile Clean
I highly recommend G & G for carpet repair, stretching and cleaning service. Jim, the owner is very professional and knowledgeable about carpet stretching repair. He was able to stretch my carpet which had buckled up because the previous installer did not properly installed the carpet and the carpet did not have enough tension. My carpet was less than 5 years old. Jim has done a very good job in fixing most of the buckle and he has the proper equipment to do the job His staff are also very professional and courteous. They showed up on time and was very efficient. They were very careful in moving my furniture for the stretching and cleaning. Overall I had an excellent experience with G & G and would definitely use their cleaning service again.

They were great. Efficient, quick and responsive. The floors look beautiful. After the job was completely done we discovered that under different lighting we could find a few nails that were not finished (not set completely and not completely covered with the "wash" they use to fill the sanded floor). I called them and they fixed every small nail head the next day. The only problem we had was in reaching them through their voice mail, but as soon as we told them this they gave us the name of an advisor who stayed in touch with us as the work progressed. They were totally on top of the job, great folks.

It went well. Everything was done as and when promised. When they saw little things that needed to be done, they either brought it to my attention or if it was minor just fixed it. Some of the "repairs" made were not standard and they figured out how to make it work. They are not a cookie cutter company and give their full attention to each job. And I felt as if, I was the only job they had at the time and that they were not hurrying to finish so they could collect my money and go to the next job. They had me check after each part of the job to see if I was pleased with their work (I was!:-)) and if I had any sort of issue with the project, they made it right. They came out to do the work on the inside of my home when I first moved to Sacramento in November of 2020 and when I was ready for my backyard to be done, I called them again last month to have them complete the vision I had for the yard. They did so and did a great job. Would I hire them again? Absolutely and I did and will again anytime I need anything done.

Overall it went way better than I had anticipated. He worked with my need to have the job done that day, and I doubt if he made much on it. I paid $75 and was very pleased with the results. Would use him again. His actual specialty is rug and carpet cleaning, and he has three professional certifications in that area. I didn't need any cleaning done, but would certainly use him for that if needed. He does some "expert witness" work related to insurance claims also. This is a very small company! Just him. FYI, his business card lists ten related specialties: oriental rug cleaning, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, carpet repair, color repair, commercial carpet, odor control, smoke damage repair, carpet inspection, water damage repair.

He did more than what he was asked to do. The job went very smoothly. He fixed 7 different areas of my carpet, and I had only asked for one. He gave me an estimate ahead of time. He gave me a receipt after the work was done. I called him, and he was able to come out that day. This was my first time using him, and I would highly recommend him to other people. He would be my first call if I have any other carpet needs. He was the least expensive of the 3 people I called.
