It went very well. Joe hit all of the right marks for me. He was very responsive and courteous. He was able to come the next day. Showed up on time and did a great job. Pumped out the tank, cleaned the filter and didn't leave any evidence of even being there. I would use Neuse River Septic again.

  • Full Circle Environmental

These guys are fantastic. We were in a bind, and needing our septic tank cleaned out today if at all possible. I called several companies before trying Full Circle Environmental. Others described a several day wait. Seeing the 5 star rating for Full Circle, I decided to give them a call. Right away I could tell I had found a truly reputable and caring company. I spoke first with Zac, then with Anna, who told me that she would be able to have someone transferred from a job they were working on in order to come and help me. Justin arrived an hour later, and an hour and a half after that, we were good to go (after some significant digging to get to the tank, which he took in stride without complaint.) From beginning to end of the process I felt as though my little project was important to them, and I told Justin as he was leaving that I predict they’ll be a Super Service award winner before long. They have that characteristic “We’ve got your best interests at heart here, and we’ll help you figure this out” attitude that is why I so love using Angi.com. I couldn’t be happier, and highly recommend Full Circle Environmental. Though my job was small, I am almost certain that they treat every project the same way. You can just feel it in everything from the first call to the final wrap up. The next time I need my septic system attended to again, they will be the company I call. Thank you

Called about a needing to have my septic tanked pumped, as there was a backed up drain line in my crawlspace I needed to deal with. They were able to provide me an appointment the next day. Most of the other vendors I called only offered appointments more than a week away. The crew arrived early and I was surprised to hear the project would take less than an hour. They worked quickly and were done on time without needing much involvement from me, including a cleaning of the backed up drain line. Would definitely use them again

Neuse River Septic was awesome. We didn't really know where the septic tank was. It took a little while to locate it but Joe and his wife were excellent. Very patient, very professional, very sweet. It's a family owned business. I would highly recommend them.

Bobby Davis pumped out our septic tank when we had it done four years ago and remembered its location. He did an excellent job this time, as he did back then—which was why we hired him again.

I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Within 24 hours of my call, everything is again in working order. I called Tampa Bay Plumbers who had put me in touch with their technician. I explained the problem, and he suggested that the issue may be related to the septic system. This confirmed my suspicions of the issue. While a full or backed-up septic was the likely culprit, it could have also been due to a broken or clogged line. They were at the home within 24 hours and had the work completed before the original scheduled arrival time. They provided a full report of their work and provided advice to help ensure that a similar issue would not occur again in the future. The services were provided at the originally quoted price. The technician and everyone at the company were friendly, helpful, courteous and have earned my recommendation. He did recommend using a product such as Rid-X monthly to help maintain the tank's digestive bacteria. Plumbing issues can be scary whether they are small or large. The unknowns of opening up a plumbing issue can be intimidating. It's great to know that there are great companies like Tampa Bay Plumbing to get the job done. I would recommend this company for anyone with a septic tank issue. This quick and reasonable resolution was worth our Angie's List membership alone

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
