Great price, great service, and wood burns nice and clean.

I've used them in the past and they do a very good job. I highly recommend them.

Arrived on time & did a great job of dumping mulch on large tarp that we provided.

Ordered 5 yds of mulch that was delivered the next business day. The office manager, Michelle, called the morning of delivery with the approximate delivery time. They delivered great quality mulch on time and the driver was courteous and considerate about placement where I requested.

The delivery went well, but the firewood was not properly seasoned and a lot of it didn't burn well. We'll go somewhere else next time.

Order was delivered on time and the wood was of excellent quality, all split without much waste.

We've been using them for years. I think the price is a little bit high and I've gotten wet lots of wood. So they should have more consistency in their dryness of the wood.

I called five firewood providers on 12/22 for quotes for a face cord of mixed hardwood. I have used Best Firewood and Mulch in the past with good results. I wanted to get a delivery prior to Christmas and the lady providing the quote was unable to guarantee a delivery on Christmas Eve or earlier. I wound up choosing another provider who was able to deliver the next day at a price that was 25% less.

WOW! I placed my order online late Friday afternoon, expecting delivery sometime early the following week. The truck showed up a little after 9am on Saturday! The crew stacked the wood where instructed and were finished in less than 30 minutes. They left no mess at all.

Purchased one facecord of firewood of their premium mix. Delivered within 48 hours. Well seasoned wood. Just dumped on driveway as directed.

These guys were great. They spent time talking to me about what type of wood to order, and the types of fires we like to have. They we very responsive and very polite, and were right on time with the delivery. The wood was nicely seasoned and so far has burnt beautifully - we've had about 7 or 8 fires since delivery. As well, they recommended Ashes No Flashes to do some chimney and fireplace work and George was wonderful. Very good dealing with this company and will definitely go through them again.

First attempt pretty decent except we had 2 guys who really did the work and then one who just stood around and offered every reason as to why it couldnt be done.

I saw an advertisement several years ago and decided to use them. They are really reliable and they give us good quality wood. They are a good place to go for firewood. They come when they say they would and they charge what they say they would. The firewood is very good. They are quite a bargain.

The firewood was delivered promptly but was not premium. There was some birch and lots of oak, a very little hickory, but no cherry at all. There were a bunch of other kinds of wood. A wood mill owner who I know looked it over with me and we identified butternut, walnut, soft maple. There are a number of pieces that I can't identify at all. Worse, the quality of many of the pieces is poor. Some of it is rotted on the outside. Other pieces appear green but that is harder to tell without burning. I made one fire with the wood and the odor from the wood (which I could not identify) was slightly unpleasant. I called the company and explained that I had not gotten premium firewood and asked if they could take it back. The lady I spoke with was cordial and said that the owner would call me. He did not, so I called back a few days later and spoke with the same woman. She said that the owner had been sick but would call me and that in any event they would have someone come over and look at the wood. She also said that the company had been in business for thirty years and expressed surprise that I had these concerns suggesting they rarely get complaints. No one came and the owner never called. I figured it would be more hassle than it was worth to haul the firewood back myself (I don't have a truck) so I started to use the wood but exclusively for outside fires - i won't use it in the house.

REBUTTAL TO SERVICE PROVIDER RESPONSE: Best Firewood and Mulch Complaint Response to Letter October 10, 2011 We received a response from Best Firewood and Mulch and our request to refund $75.00 was not granted. Instead they offered to credit us $10.00. We reject this offer… To Summarize: We ordered three face cords of wood. We were shorted when the wood was delivered and we brought it to the employees attention. He responded by measuring the face cords with his foot, that was not a foot long. We brought out a tape measure and showed the two rows were at least a foot short. He said he didn’t realize it and would add wood to make up the difference. When I later realized that we were still shorted on the amount, I called the office and a women attempted to explain the amount was correct based on the measurements I provided. I was advised during the call, that they have never had a complaint in 30 years… When we (husband & I) compared the face cords (amount & stacking) to face cords that were delivered at a friends home, we realized that not only were we shorted on the amount based on the measurements but also all four ends were not stacked solid. They were stacked partially hollow and differently at the ends. They need to be stacked differently to ensure they do not fall but the ends should not be stacked particially hollow. I can provide pictures of how ours were stacked and also our friends, that are not hollow at the end and are stacked without using a log holder. Their delivery came from Piper and Son’s (also through Angies List). They had 3 face cords delivered and already had 3 face cords in the garage. The amount they received (2 separate deliveries) was substantially more than double. Listed below are responses that my husband received when he called the owner: · We have never received a complaint in 30 years · We are splitting hairs over a few pieces of wood · My employees don’t have time to carry around a tape measure · I can come out and show you the amount of wood is correct · How many fires have you had? · The ends have to be stacked that way because you don’t have a log holder. It’s not my fault that you don’t have a log holder. Here is my viewpoint as the customer; · Why should I have to measure the wood you deliver, even one time · Why should I have re-check the amount to ensure that we are given the correct amount the second time. · Why would I want your company on my property after receiving the above service and responses from the owner. · We didn’t call back immediately because we didn’t realize we were cheated a second time and we were still in the middle of a construction project where the fireplace was located and recently built. · After all of the above, why was an apology never offered from you directly for anything. It could of started with the fact that your employee shorted us wood the first time and it was brought to your attention. Instead of being apologetic, you are offending and confrontational? I find it interesting a Best Firewood employee responded that the owner speaks quickly and is not confrontational. First of all, you receive a paycheck from this company; Secondly, the pace and tone of the owners responses don’t change the actual words…

The trees are happy and there are no complaints. They are prompt and seem very reliable. They were very professional. They did a marvelous clean up after the work and there was no mess on the ground after they left.

The guy who came in seemed to know what exactly had to be done. They really seemed to know the stuff. They even followed up with us to know whether we were going to do it or not and that seemed very nice to me. I would rate them high overall. They were very responsive. I would consider in using them in the future.

No work was performed by this company.

The quote was timely and quite low compared to other quotes received. We were called the day before the work was to be done. They arrived within the time frame given and did a wonderful, thorough job. They cleaned up and checked to ensure we were happy with the work and the clean up before considering the job complete. I will be recommending them to a friend who also needs tree work done.

I had used Best Tree service last July and hired them again this year for some more problematic trees. I wasn't at home this time around during removal but results were the same as last year..excellant! Remaining stumps cut very low to ground, lawn had been raked after work was completed and none other than the 'lack of said trees' was noted. Best Tree provides a great service and their prices are very reasonable.

We get our mulch and firewood through them. Their ordering system is pretty easy and you can order online, which is convenient. Their pricing is competitive. I got a couple of loads of wood that were not bone dry and it has taken a little bit of time to get it dried so it was burnable. I think that is what you would get from any firewood supplier. Their firewood quality has been pretty good, but some has been wet inside. Between their service and their price, I think they are pretty good. Their price varies depending on the type of wood you get. I haven't compared pricing. They have delivered and done everything that I asked them to. My only negative was the couple of loads that were not completely dried.

I will buy from them again. I could not find another dealer who would promise to deliver the mix of wood I wanted. It is like the can customize your fire. But with Oak, Hickory, Birch and Apple I will have not only a warm fire but a great smelling and sounding fire as well.

They were very prompt in coming out to give me an estimate (within a day of my phone call). Once I agreed to the services, they came out promptly to do the work. After they left I had a question about the trimming and I received a phone call that day with a thorough answer to my question. They did a great job pruning the tree.

Company was suggested to me from a friend who had work provided by them earlier in the year. Two other 'Angies List' tree service companies bid on this same job to which Best Tree Care came in the lowest (Angie's list companies came in 1.2 to 4.0 times higher then Best Tree Care!). Between the price and prior recommendation I scheduled my job with Best. Scheduled date was made but Best Tree Care was able to do the job sooner due to an opening. No boom truck was needed. All 'high' cut work handled and carefully planned out by one man with two on the ground. Majority of 'waste' handled by large chipper truck supplied and larger tree bases hauled away. No stump grinding was requested and Best managed to cut bases very low to ground which was appreciated. All work completed within 3-4 hours after arrival which included pickup and raking of lawn of residual materials by Best.
