His estimates were the most reasonable, and so that's why we decided to go with him. The work was completed within a day and a half. He put jacks under the wood and braced the house, basically taking the pressure off the bricks that are deteriorating. It seems as though he didn't put enough jacks, and never put footers in to hold the jacks. Our kitchen cupboards had dropped at least a quarter inch to a half an inch. All our baseboards are coming apart, and I have a huge crack on the floor in the kitchen. The fridge is going down into the tile about 2 inches. My dryer/washer rattles on the floor. There has been alot of other damage that has occured because of this work. It's worse now than it was before. I?ve been calling his office and cell phone for 3-4 days now with no response. I ended up getting ahold of him finally, and he let us know that he?d come over to look at the situation, but it?s been a week and I haven't heard from him.

He is very nice. He is very professional. He calls when he is on the way or if he will be late. He explains exactly what he is doing. He talks about the cheapest thing to do about fixing a problem.

I was pleased with the work done by Brent Balik, who is the owner of AA Always Affordable Contractor. He came and quoted us a price and did the job. Before he even did the job, he got up on our roof and cleaned a little bit of the dryer vent out, which started helping our drying time when we dried clothes. Brent also told us what to do to our shed door to preserve it so the weather would not destroy it. He says he tries to help people out if he sees something that needs done. I feel he was reasonable and he did a great job. We will definitely keep him as our handyman! I think if you need work done you would be pleased with the job Brent can do for you.

Brent was referred by a friend. He came out, took measurements and then gave us an estimate. I was amazed - his price came in well below what we had envisioned for the job. He accomodated our schedules, finished the job ahead of schedule and cleaned up thoroughly. He used tape and plastic to seal off rooms from the inevitable fine powdery dust. He vacuumed, cleaned the walls and the floors in all of the rooms affected - there was little dust in any of our rooms. We were EXTREMELY pleased with his work, his professionalism and his pleasant nature. We will use him exclusively for future contracting jobs.
