Top Hedge Trimming Near San Francisco

We had a very pleasant experience using Roman's Tree Service and would definitely hire them again. Their fee was fair, they were responsive throughout the process, and they did an even better job than we could have asked for. We were particularly pleased with the job they did on a palm tree we have that was overdue for a trim as we had a hard time finding any tree trimming services willing to work on palms.

I called on Thursday afternoon to ask for help the next day. Aly came out first thing Friday morning. Gave me an estimate and his crew arrived two hours later. There were three workers who worked as a team. As they progressed, i needed to revise my request. The team leader checked with Aly and the job was done. Lat in the afternoon, I discovered oil stains from the truck on my driveway pavers. People from the company came out immediately and removed the stains. No arguments. No discussion.

Super responsive company - I called them one day, they came out the next day and gave me an estimate, and 2 days later they did the whole job (both my yard and my father's yard). They were prompt, courteous, did a great job on the yards and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I was so happy with their work that I have already told them I will be scheduling with them again in December. Highly recommend.

He has worked for us for about 8 years. He is reliable and honest. He is always responsive to any phone calls. He knows what needs to be done and how to do it. I am satisfied with the way my yard looks.

GenEnt did an excellent job. I sent them an email over the weekend asking if they performed the type of services that I needed. They responded quickly and came out on Monday to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. They returned on Tuesday to do the work. They ended up taking out an additional bush and doing some yard cleanup for me as well. I would definitely use them again when I need some yard maintenance done.

We used Phong Bo to replace both of our lawns and clear out a lot of old landscape. He did very well with that. He does not do regular maintenance, this was a one time job. We wanted him to redo the yard. There was a lot of work involved. He had to take out a lot of tree roots and repair water lines - which always get broken when you do any digging! He took out some really big hedges, and there was a lot of stuff that had overgrown so he took that out as well. We did the planting ourselves. He was pretty easy to work with. He got everything done, and did it in a good timely manner. The lawns look really really good. He improved some of the watering system in the front lawn, as well as all the lines that were damaged. There was no fuss about the repairs either. I think it was a really really good price.

Bret is extremely responsive and engaging. We found a time that worked for a consultation and he arrived on schedule and spent an hour looking over the property and making suggestions. He brings a designer's eye to all aspects of the work, and explained his company's philosophy and process thoroughly. He gave us options for a full job bid or hourly rates, and applied no pressure at all, and promised to work with us to keep costs as low as possible. When work commenced, Bret and his crew were on time and friendly, and they did a terrific job -- property looked better than it did when we bought the house. We will definitely be working with him on a regular basis for maintenance, and we plan to contract him for a significant redesign of our front yard. Might cost a touch more than one of the big corporate outfits but worth every penny -- great guy, good sense of humor, great crew, and terrific quality. Can't go wrong here!

I think they did a great job and since they were able to leave the trimmings for pickup on wed, they did some extra work and I was satisfied with the work performed.

After an exterior remodel last year our lawn was trashed. We had over grown hedges, a falling down fence and dead grass. Stephen gave us a reasonable price and his crew was very professional and they did a good job. I gave them a deadline for finishing (a 4th of July party) and was a little nervous that it would be done but they made it. Stephen is friendly and easy to deal with..

I'm not too happy with my gardener Ramon Ramos. I fired him last week. He just can't get it together, it's terrible. They were here a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't know the difference between, they tore out a lot of plants and broke some lighting. They didn't replace it. They're pretty good at responding. They were nice guys and did a good job with communication.

(This was written 1-8-12) I decided to go with Quality Gardening and Landscaping after Eddie came over to review our property to prepare a quote. We talked about a few things I wanted: no hedge pruners making shrubs into a green box, grass should be kept green, put the clippings in my compost bin, do additional pruning / trimming when requested. They seemed like a quality operation, and Eddie explained that they only use power hedge clippers when specifically requested- else, all pruning is with hand clippers. He knew the trick for getting the grass green again (10 mins of water a day, instead of 30 minutes every 3-4 days). After a couple of months of service they've done a really nice job mowing, cleaning up plant debris, pruning, and generally just making things green and tidy. Very happy so far. Definitely a good value in my opinion, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. (Written 10-15-13) Extremely happy with the service. Lawn looks great, the rest is pruned and kept tidy. Never had an issue. Definitely recommended.

Everything satisfactory for a few months, lawns mowed, edged, flower beds cultivated, hedges trimmed -- very routine gardening job, then went gradually downhill. Quick, slipshod work, sometimes only 15 minutes on the job. High crew turnover, crews decreasingly careful and thorough, less and less service as the months went by. Very disappointing because service started out great, then deteriorated. Phone calls resulted in promises to get on top of things, but no improvement.

I had purchased a buywithme coupon for Metropolitian Landscape and Construction for $75 for four hours of landscape work at my home. After many attempts to make an appointment i finally was given a date of August 11, 2011 for them to come to my home and perform 4 hours of landscape work. A couple of days prior I wanted to confirm the appointment and get a time frame that I could expect someone to come to my home. I left many messages and got no answer. The 11th came and went and I recieved no calls and no one showed up, I had taken the day off of work. When i attempted to call on the day of the voice mailbox was full. I do not intend on attempting to use this company again as it was extremely unprofessional to have a scheduled appointment and not come or give a call. I had made adjustments in my schedule and now have to find someone else to do the work. I also have begun getting my money back for the voucher.

Asked for a quote to perform general landscaping clean up. We have a rental house in Santa Cruz that was in need of some much needed trimming and general clean up. I walked around the property and explained that I needed the bushes trimmed back to be in line with the fences. Weeds removed and several areas trimmed up to make the property appear nice for the upcoming rental process. He quoted us $500 and for this and he would repair the broken sprinkler head and remove a rotting stump from the front yard. Unfortunately, i had to travel during the time the work was performed, but my wife over saw the activity. While the work looked ok, it was not done to my request. The hedges were not trimmed back t the fence, but trimmed with about a foot extending past the fence line. The clean up of the landscape near the back garage was hardly touched. The sprinkler head work was more extensive that he thought, so he did not repair any of the sprinklers. the stump was more massive than he thought, so he did not remove any of the stump. We also had a small pile of yard trimmings along with some dirt/sand swept up from the driveway and street. He declined to take away the dirt (about 1 wheel barrow full) and only removed the grass and branches. Overall, as he did not reduce his price for not doing the sprinkler and stump work, I found the price point for the level and quality of work to be on the high side. We have a landscaper/gardener service our home in San Jose for a very reasonable price and he's awesome, so our expectations were high. For sure HERNANDEZ LANDSCAPING AND GENERAL MAINTENANCE did not live up to our expectations nor what was promised during our initial verbal contract..

First, they removed a dying hedge a rotting deck. In place of the deck they laid down pavers. They removed my roses from the front yard to the back. They landscaped the hill that is part of my yard with drought tolerant plants. They included a drip system manual system in the entire backyard. It took about two weeks. The work was done efficiently. I am very pleased with the outcome. I have been having work done by Vince's Landscaping for over 20 years and I will continue with them.

The crew accomplished most tasks to my satisfaction. They did an excellent job on the trees. I was less satisfied with the hedges. Cleaning up the debris proved to be a challenge. First, I have plant and terrain obstacles that make trimming and cleanup difficult. Second, I have many tender plants, immature ground cover and mulch I did not want disturbed. I opted for less clean-up in order to protect my plants and mulch, but I was disappointed with the results. I lost several tender plants and it will take me several hours to replace the mulch.

The project went very well. We live on a hillside so it was not easy to remove and evacuate the grass and unneeded soil, bring in the stones and cement to do the slab. Garcia's men are very hardworking, neat, polite and timely. They paid close attention to details. It was a pleasure to do business with this company.

Adam Wooley and his crew were always punctual and worked long days, (weekends too) to complete this extensive project. All his proposals were clearing itemized and there were no surprises when it came time to pay. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of his work -from the stone to the wood to the stucco. He built a curved stone wall. He matched the brick pattern of the Victorian house in the planter boxes to create a seamless facade. He rebuilt a redwood deck and leveled a patio to create a seating area and always with amazing speed and workmanship. We had a great deal of rain during the winter months and in spite of the terrible weather he would always start the day and try to get something done. We would highly recommend him!

He is very good and he has been with me for 10 years. I recommend him to all my neighbors and a few of them selected him. He is prompt, friendly and honest. He has never been late.

They are excellent and very professional. I had them for years, at least ten years. They leave the area beautifully. What stands out about them is that they go the extra mile like they put in trees that they did not have to. They put in extra flowers and they just do a beautiful job with flowers. They just do a great job.
