Burney's Septic was awesome. I was frantic because my toilet was backing up and had to go to work. I called before they were opened and a person named Rodney answered. He was so nice and professional told me not to worry they would be there today and everything would be done before I got home. I got home no mess and everything was fine. Karen who works in the office even gave me a discount for being a front line person at a hospital. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Thank you again Burney's...

Response time from initial call to scheduled arrival was great. Arrived on time, actually a bit early. Very professional and courteous. Got the job done, right! I had no problem paying for the septic pump out as it was needed. However, the added charge for the filter clean was of concern, especially since I dug out the area for the techs. I did appreciate the discount, but it still didn't cover the cost of the added charge to clean the filter. Overall...satisfied

  • MOORE'S SAND & SEPTIC

The guys, Charles and Ben, came first thing this morning. I explained what was going on in the downstairs toilet. As the men were digging, checking power to the pump, they were sharing what could be the possible problem - hoping for me it wasn't major. But it was. Charles explained my pump options, costs, what they would be doing when installing the pump, how the pump was suppose to work. I so appreciated the time he spent to explain how the system runs and answering questions I had. Very patient, not in any hurry to get done and get going to next job. Their time was my time and knowing that I can call later if I have other questions, very comforting. I will ALWAYS call Moore's Septic, they make me feel like I'm family and are here to take care of me

  • Grant's Plumbing

Grant's Plumbing is AMAZING! The owner took the time to review my septic inspection report and go over it with me. Then he thoroughly explained the process, time frame and pricing variables to me over the phone and in writing. I was feeling completely overwhelmed by this process and he really put my mind at ease. I can't say enough nice things about this family business and HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you work with them for any septic and drainfield needs

I had to get the permit before I could get a firm estimate. Egans Environmental did the site testing and applied for the permit. Darrell Cruz pumped the septic and dosing tanks and provided the page 4 report. Harold from Clay County Master Plumbing gave the estimate and did the work. Harold did a great job. He was delayed by rain and the sand company having an equipment problem. However he stay with the job and completed it in a reasonable amount of time. The Duval inspector came and checked everything out and passed the job. I did not have CCMP do the sod replacement because the weather was too cold and it would have died. I plan to get that done when the weather warms up some. The cost below covers Egans Environmental, Darrell Cruz and CCMP. I would highly recommend all three of these companies

My property looks fabulous, and he and the other very responsive, responsible experts he brought did extra work-building a pump house for my irrigation system and a house for my outdoor animals. I would freely and strongly recommend them and will use their services again with pleasure. Note, too, that I was promised the price and the estimate was low. Mr Pelky took on the cost of the extra expenses himself. Again, very honest and trustworthy

  • Clay County Master Plumbing LLC

We were very pleased with the work that was done and the manner in which it was done. Clay County Master Plumbing made sure the job went smoothly, as scheduled and with no major inconvenience to my family. We were unable to use our showers/facilities for about 10-15 minutes maximum for the entire operation. The employee that did the work, Harold, was very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate and professional. He was a skilled operator of the mini-excavator used to do the digging and worked amazingly fast. He even worked in the rain in order to complete the job in a timely manner. He was also very knowledgeable about codes and was able to work well with the inspector. CCMP said the job would take 2-3 days (depending on the weather) and it took 3 days because it rained one day and not much work could be done on that day. All was done right on time and as stated. This contractor did what they said they were going to do, communicated well and were very professional

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
