Absolutely Outstanding! Superior quality, attentive communication and exceptional value. We had a remote rental property that was damaged by a leak and a prior renter. Working with Jesse and Dan Reyes we received a professional quote, project execution and finished carpentry. The Star Mountain Construction Team delivered! They assisted us with design and made great suggestions throughout the project. Initially we consulted them for the Kitchen repair/remodel, but they also assisted us with whole house paint, wood floor refinishing, lighting update, countertops, a custom hand crafted kitchen and so much more! During a walk through they helped us create an envy worthy bathroom remodel with a huge gorgeous shower, updating the property immensely. Our ugly duckling of a house was restored beyond its original beauty! The bonus? We close next week way above asking, because Jesse Dan and the Star Mountain team used their skills to remodel and refinish every surface to a buyers dream home

Hector and his son Ivan are very professional and do good work. I've used them for 2 different jobs and they've worked in every room of my home. Attention to detail could be a little better for the price, but to their credit they always fixed any issues I found w/o any problems. The only issue I had was the company they contracted with to install the tile (family member). During the time the tile installer and his assistant were there, a couple of items (Alexa speaker, Amazon FireStick) were removed from the home. We were able to show in pictures that the items were there before the floor was installed, and gone in later pictures after. We also determined that the person in question placed the said items outside a window and returned through a broken gate to retrieve them later. Hector and Ivan came out specifically to go over the evidence I had come up with and agreed that it seemed logical for the tile guy or his new assistant to be the perpetrators. He said that he has since decided not to use that particular sub contractor again. We chose not to press charges despite not getting our items back or reimbursement for them. Other than this issue, his company and his own employees are reputable and we have had no other issues. I would hire HB remodeling to do any paint / texture / drywall work again. Very nice guys

  • Artistic Flooring
    1.0
Artistic Flooring installed a laminated wood floor, tile, and wall tile. Every facet of this installation was a complete disaster. I hired Artistic Flooring through Floor and Décor, Installation Made Easy. The owner, Freddy, came to my house and measured for an estimate. At that time, I pointed out that the floor was not level and that the major issue needed to be addressed at the installation time. Freddy told me, “no problem, we can fix that”. I had to schedule the installation two months after the initial contact but reminded Freddy multiple times about the uneven floor that needed to be fixed. Installation was supposed to begin on the Monday of Spring Break. Freddy informed me that his installers were exposed to Covid, and installation had to be pushed back a couple of days, but he had two great installers that would do a “fantastic job”. They removed the old carpet with no problem and began installing the laminated flooring. At this point, they started putting the old broken and dirty baseboards back. These two installers didn’t speak English, so I had to call Freddy to tell them to stop putting the old baseboard on. Freddy then informed me that I would have to pay extra to have new baseboards installed, and I could pay his guys $400 or put in a change order with Installation Made Easy, which would cost more than $400. Red flag number one. The following day I called Freddy to remind him that the floor needed to be level, and he again reassured me that it was no problem. The installers began working, and I checked on the progress several hours later. They laminated over the uneven floor. I did my best to communicate with the installers that the floor was not level, so Alex, the lead installer, got a level out and showed me it was level. I tried again to tell him that it was not if you moved the level over six inches. Alex took a picture of the level and sent it to Freddy. Freddy called me and said I was wrong that the floor was level, and it must have been my carpet that was not level. Red flag number two. Freddy came to the house the following day and checked the floor; sure enough, it was not level. He then informed me that the laminated flooring would need to be cut at each door to fix it, and even then, it was no guarantee that it would be fixed. Cutting each doorway defeated the purpose of having one continuous floor, so I saw no choice but to live with the uneven floor. If I had known this, I would have installed carpet. I also pointed out that the uneven floor will be a problem when I try to sell the house – Freddy responded with, “people don’t care about the floor; they want updated bathrooms.” The next day Alex and his helper began removing the bathroom and hall tiles. They removed the old tile and cleaned the backer board. I asked them if they planned on replacing the backer board on the floor – and they did not understand, so I called Freddy. Freddy informed me that it would cost extra to replace the old board that had significant remnants of cement on it. I should have fired them at this point, and I wish I had. The installers began installing the floor tile and asked me how I wanted it laid out. I wanted it staggered – this is important because, to my surprise, I received a change order with an additional $210 charge for a pattern two days later. Nothing was mentioned to me at the time. Next, they begin installing the wall tile. I showed them where to stop tiling because I did not want the closet tiled. They tiled the closet. I called Freddy about the closet, and his response “you got something for nothing”. They tiled around the light switch and plug, cementing them to the tile. Lastly, when they installed the border, they didn’t bother to do a miter cut. Again, I called Freddy, and he told me Alex stated that they couldn’t make a miter cut because the corner was not level. They didn’t do it on any of the corners. When I pointed out this logic, Freddy had no answer. They told me they were done, and I pointed out that the baseboards were not finished. I assumed Alex was going to cut the few pieces they needed to complete the job. I gave his partner the money, and they got in their car and left. My baseboards are still unfinished. The installers left garbage in my garage and laminated planks on the side of the house – which were rained on that night and ruined. I spent hours picking up pieces of tile remnants from the landscaping in my front yard. All in all, this was a complete disaster. That evening I filed a complaint with Installation Made Easy. Freddy was supposed to come to my house the following day to look at the subpar work, but he told me that because I filed the complaint, he could not come to my house and address the issues – it was out of his hands; this was not true. Two months after the work was concluded, gaps in the laminated planks have appeared, they are anywhere between 1/16 – 1/8 inch, and they are all around the uneven floor. I spent over $3,000 in product and because this installation was so bad, I was not charged for most of the installation cost, but I’m left with a mess that will cost several thousand dollars to fix. In addition to all of these problems, the installers broke a $40 flowerpot and tried to hide it in the trash – they did not tell me about it, and they opened an upstairs window and broke that. I’m trying to get all my money refunded – so far, no luck

H and E installed my refrigeration in my house 4 years ago, and I have not had any problems with it at all. They were extremely professional and they began and finished the job in a timely manner. Since then I have hired them for various projects in my home that vary from installing my wood fencing in my back yard, put cement in the back yard, plumbing work done around the house, fixed my refrigerator which by the way works great right after they came. I am a single mom which I am extremely cautious about who enters my home and I trust H and E whole heartily. Which is the reason why I have recommended them to friends and family in need of any projects done in their home

We contacted no less than 6 contractors for our project and interviewed 5. Many of them would only do part of the project or failed to even complete the estimate process. Danny at DR construction stood out for his honesty and timeliness. I even cold called two previous clients and both had high praise for his work. His estimate was fair and in the end the work was great. Contracts were utilized and all changes were tracked. Disbursement schedules were set which gave us piece of mind and it worked out great for us that he offered financing. Danny’s pride in his work was evident through out as the few concerns we had were already on his radar before we told him and he was very hesitant to let anything that was not high quality go unchecked. The master bath was essentially gutted to the studs and shower had to be reframed due to poor initial builder construction resulting in some rot. This project involved new floor tile, new bath, new cabinets, new glass shower enclosure, quartz countertops, painting and custom barndoor install. Danny was responsive and handled all subcontractors. He was flexible with schedule when we needed it and we always felt comfortable with the workers. We were grateful for the assistance and honesty with design choices by Danny’s partner and wife Marie. In the end we are very satisfied and confident Danny will still help us even though the job is complete. When we are ready for our kitchen remodel we will call DR Construction again. You can see our before and after pictures on their Instagram. Don’t hesitate to use them for your project big or small

Converted an older bathroom into a modern wheelchair accessible bathroom. A little pricey but well worth the extra money for the quality they gave us. You get what you pay for and would without a doubt use them again. We are not the easiest customers and they took care of any and every concern we had

Excellent job! Had to wait for some parts to be ordered, but work was done in a professional manner. In addition, all staff/workers were polite, punctual and respectful of my personal space and items. I also felt safe when workers were in my house while I was at work. The Owner/Supervisor was always available and easy to get in touch with. Responded to all calls, text messages and emails. I highly recommend DR Construction and will use them for future jobs
