No. Just no. Stay away if only because you have other options. Rude owner. Immature technician with bad attitude. First off, I am a 10+ year veteran of yelp, and I have written only one other bad review. Also, I have used Bayshore Plumbers over the years, and have had NO issues with their service. I just found out from reading other reviews that the business was sold to a new owner. These guys are the worst. I called them to take a look at an under the sink leak. The guy (Jess aka Jesus) who came in was kinda “off”. Apparently his morning hadn’t started off so good (some issue with his Prius). Anyway, he looked at our problem and said we needed a new kitchen faucet. He would come back to install ($300) once I bought one. I did. He came back the next day to install. He did his job(everything looked pretty good (that he muttered “jesus” and “I need to focus” every time I asked a question should have been a sign of things to come —no I am not a crazy, controlling person, I just asked very typical questions). Anyway, I paid him and I thought we were done. On Saturday morning we woke up to an overnight leak and water on the kitchen floor. They are open on the weekend per Yelp, so we called them and after some back and forth decided that it was OK for us to wait until Monday to see a technician because we had shut off the problem valve (they had swapped out that valve when they put in the new faucet), and Jess had the day off. We did want Jess to come back because we thought it will make things easier (dumb decision on our part?). We got a call from Jess within the hour. He said he was in the area and wanted to show up the same day. We said ok. He came in and gave us a long lecture about how it was his day off blah blah. The muttering under the breathe was back on. He looked at the leak and decided (after making a bunch of calls to his various “uncles” who are all in the local plumbing business— he made it sound like a little mafia) that our RO system faucet needed to be changed (another 300$ odd). We decided against the service because we weren’t convinced that that was the problem and needed some time to figure out what to do, which we thought was reasonable. He left the owner (Sammy?)’s number and asked us to give him a call so that we could together decide the next course of action. We called, and the owner turned out to be the rudest person ever. Customer service? He told my husband to appreciate the fact that he was calling him back on a Saturday (dude, your Yelp info says you are open on weekends! Change that if it is a problem for you, and tell your technicians to not give out your cell number if you don’t want phone calls ). After hearing the complaints about it being a Saturday over and over, my husband finally asked him, “are you telling me that your weekend is more important than mine”, to which he answered “yes it is”. Whhhhhaaat? That’s your Customer service? Why did you feel the need to be rude? Long story short, while we were asking for accountability and help figuring out what to do (even if it was at extra cost to us), he was saying bizarre things like “it is not our responsibility if fixing one thing in your house breaks another” and “I am calling you back on a Saturday”. My husband asked if he thought they could have warned us that the RO system right have issues when they swap out the faucet. Answer— “we cannot predict the future”, after saying first that “these RO systems are unpredictable”. Avoid these guys at all cost and because you can. Bad attitude and just plain rude. Ironically, all we were looking for, was good attitude and we would have paid extra to fix the problem because we know that stuff can happen and not everything is in their control. Sad to see an old local business take a downward turn. 😢
