Water heater installation went smoothly. Kitchen faucet irreparable; significant expense to determine that. Subsequently received free replacement faucet from manufacturer and installed it on my own.

First off, I’m a mechanic. And if people think we’re bad they should try out Montco Plumbers. They say a sucker is born every minute, but I’m not one of them. We had a bathtub faucet leak at my girlfriend’s house in Macungie. The weekend prior I took apart the faucet and found that the cartridge was bad, but it was late, hardware store closed and I had to leave to Lancaster the next morning. Because I’m so busy, I could not make it back up there to repair faucet and the leak got worse, so I HAD TO call a plumber thinking a CRAZY price to fix this was like $300-$400. I called montco, and told Mike EXACTLY what the problem was and EXACTLY what I wanted done. He sent out a guy named Louis. My girlfriend’s daughter said that he brought in no tools and only looked at the leak from a distance and DID NOT take it apart to diagnose the problem. Then he calls me and said the whole faucet system needs replaced, he has to cut through wall, replace pipes etc. And this guy tells me it’s gonna cost $1,836 PLUS PARTS! He said ..all said and done it will be about $2,000!!!!!! It BLEW MY MIND the audacity of this guy. When I told him All I need him to do is change the cartridge, he argued with me, saying he’s been a plumber for 35 years! I don’t know what I’m talking about, and if I only change the cartridge the whole system will BLOW OUT he said… LOL! He took advantage of our situation and tried to rob me. Apparently, Mike Failed to relay to Louis that I’m a mechanic, and no fool. The moral of this story is… I made a special trip up to Macungie, bought a new Delta Faucet cartridge from Bell Ace Hardware for $60, and fixed the faucet in LITERALLY 15 minutes. Not a drop of water is coming out. SO WHY couldn’t Louis charge me $300 or $400, or h*** ! $500! And walk away with a nice profit. but $2,000!!! Such GREED. Listen folks, don’t be a sucker, don’t be a fool, this is NOT an honest business, they are taking advantage of unsuspecting customers in the Lehigh Valley area…. Oh, and by the way… The BBB is my next call, then on to Consumer affairs. I’ve already spoken with my attorney as well and he said “WOW!” and I don’t care if I gotta spend $1,000 to get back my $79 they stole from me for their “Service” call AKA Standing back with arms crossed and saying “I gotta cut through the wall”.

Bruce is very personable and knowedgeable. It was very easy to contact him by phone. After explaining what items I needed fixed, he went right to work. Everything is still working well. I would recommend him to friends. I've learned with all contractors, that it is important to get an estimate first so there are no surprises. Bruce was willing to work with me on the cost of the servicesl.

Tony from HL Bowman had originally come to my home to repair a broken toilet. He arrived promptly and he performed the work both quickly and professionally (that is to say, he put down appropriate coverings to protect flooring and then cleaned up after work was done). His price was very fair. When the faucet head in my sink needed replacing, I called HLBowman and asked for Tony to come out and do the work. Again he arrived promptly and removed and replaced the faucet head. He made sure to put down materials to prevent the floor from being dirty. All of his tools were gathered and he cleaned the area up prior to departing. Not only does Tony do great work but he is also a nice guy- the kind of repair person you trust to be in your home when you are there alone. I would definitely use this company again.

Easy to get appointment for service due to friendly person on the company phone. Jared arrived on time and worked efficiently. Fauctes were in somewhat awkward location but he made the connections easy to use.

I needed a kitchen faucet repaired or replaced. Construxx recommended replacement and advised me to purchase a faucet set of my choosing and they would do the installation. The plumbers called before arriving to make sure we were home since they were a bit early. The job was completed quickly and carefully. The team, Harold and Jeremy, was courteous and worked efficiently. They were neat and cleaned up before they left and disposed of the old faucet. Straight A's for this service.

They are the only folks I call for plumbing for the last 5 years. They got the faucet repaired in about 30-45 minutes.

Faucet replacement and line repair was adequate and with quality fixtures, but technician installed the water lines backwards, jammed one of the shutoff valves in the open position and left it that way and informed me that repair of the kitchen sink required replacement of the countertop, which I subsequently learned was not true.

The hot water valve broke suddenly while we were attempting to replace the faucet on Monday afternoon. We had to turn off the main water valve and also the hot water heater. We looked for a provider located close to our home, hoping to get service on Monday afternoon or Tuesday. The appointment setter was thorough and professional and she called back with an appointment in a reasonable length of time. We had the first appointment Tuesday morning. The provider arrived on time and worked quickly, neatly and skillfully. His pricing was fair. We were completely satisfied.

How did it go? FANTASTIC. Charlie was on time, courteous, looked at problem, explained repair options and got to work. Did work in exactly the amount of time stated. Used my customer supplied replacement faucet for the repair (big money saver). No mess, super happy. Used online Angie's List plumbing deal for repair --- another great money saver. So glad Ben Franklin Plumbing offer the deal. Will be buying a service contract from Ben Franklin's sister company for my A/C condensing unit and furance. Best prices and package protection deal of any HVAC company I've seen.

Talk about responsiveness and punctuality! McArdle was on point. I submitted a request via their website on July 4th - not expecting a response until earlier in the following week. Nope - I had a response via email in 30 minutes. Wow! They coordinated an after hours appt. the following Tuesday. They were on time and provided great service. My only little "complaint" which was on me and not them. I should have considered picking out a replacement faucet prior to them coming. The style they picked (I wasn't onsite) wasn't one that I would had probably chosen as it was really basic. Again - that was on me - not on them. So, long and short - go with McArdle. You won't be disappointed.
