The Erlangen and Nuremberg region is located in the heart of Europe. These two cities are home to Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, founded in 1743. We offer approximately 39,000 students from around the world an innovative and research-oriented environment in which they can lay the foundation for a successful career in engineering, economics, the humanities, law, science or medicine. Numerous researchers from more than 100 countries work at the chairs and research institutions at FAU and help give the University its special international touch.
