Philip is a Software Developer from Munich, Germany and runs the company Starzel.de. He served several terms on the Plone Foundation Board of Directors. He heads the Plone Training Team and is author of the Mastering Plone Training. He was Project-Lead for porting Plone to Python 3, author of plone.app.contenttypes and a bunch of other packages. He loves teaching and is dedicated to Open Source. Mostly seen wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.

After first working some time with Smalltalk and C/C++, Thomas discovered Python (and Zope) in 2002 and since then has used it in almost all of his projects. Over time the field of application changed from geoinformatics and scientific modelling to web development. His focus over the last 8 years has been on developing and operating websites using Python, Zope/Plone and recently Pyramid.

Ramon is Chief of the Technology Office at Intranetum and Iskra.cat, the AI system that helps organize your information and a provider for content management solutions. He has played a major role in Plone's multilingual support and Javascript integration and has been a member of the Framework and UI Teams.

Nathan is the Director of Solutions Engineering for Wildcard Corp, the company that provides secure web solutions to major US government agencies. He helps maintain the Plone mockup project and has 8 years of experience providing rich web solutions utilizing JavaScript in Plone.

Tom has been a core contributor since Plone 4.0. Besides his work as a developer and consultant in Australia, Germany, and Switzerland, he writes technical and philosophical (audio) books. Tom lives in Zurich and is currently working as the web and elearning team leader for the University of Applied Sciences of Northwestern Switzerland. He participated in the first integration of Solr into Plone at the 2007 Snow Sprint in the Austrian alps and has been using and developing collective.solr since then.

Paul is a long-time technology and open-source activist who has worked for a wide range of non-profits and other organizations. He is a combination sysadmin, programmer, and e-campaigner all at once. He started using Plone around 0.99beta, and has enjoyed the ride so far immensely.

Fred lives in Rotterdam the Netherlands and was exposed to Plone in 2003 as an end user and webmaster. In 2007 he joined Zest Software to work with Plone and Python web apps full time. He can communicate with the business side, helping users decide on which features are most valuable to develop, when to customize their CMS or when to stick with standard functionality. He also gives training classes on using, administering and developing for Plone. On the IT/technical side he works as an integrator, writing and modifying code and handling system administration.

Fulvio has been working almost exclusively with Plone since 2008. He loves participating in Plone community events; he organized two strategic Plone sprints in the Northwest US and helped galvanize the developer community there. He co-taught the Mastering Plone Development class at the 2016 Plone Conference in Bucharest, Romania.

Eric is currently developer and team leader at Makina Corpus, France. He got involved in Plone in 2006, when he started the Plomino add-on, which he is still maintaining actively today. He is also the founder and maintainer of Rapido.

Jean has been working with Plone since the beginning, both in the private sector and on UN contracts. His experience has mostly been in small teams, handling everything from hosting and maintenance to application development. His specialties are Plone (especially Plomino) and agile development practices.

Steve is the creator of PloneFormGen and maintainer of the Unified installer. Steve also wrote several chapters of Practical Plone and is an experienced speaker and instructor.

Alec specializes in Python, Zope and Plone development, high-performance website deployment and optimizations, RDBMS integration, and integration with web services. He has worked extensively on the Plone based KCRW website, Southern California's leading National Public Radio affiliate, including content delivery optimization and development of new web service APIs for HTML5 and flash media players and iPhone/Android applications.

A Purdue graduate, and renowned technical speaker, Calvin is an expert in information architecture, data modeling and systems engineering. Large organizations especially appreciate his focus on best practices and performance optimization for enterprise-grade web projects.

Chrissy started as a front-end developer building Plone themes, and has since moved to the back-end doing Python development and Plone migrations. She has given talks and training classes at many Plone Symposia and Conferences. Chrissy has served several terms on the Plone Foundation Board of Directors.

Maik is the CEO of Derico, in Germany. He has been a member of the Plone community since 2005 and has given several theming talks and training classes at various conferences and other events.

Sven likes documentation and documentation testing. In addition to being a key member of the Plone community (leading the documentation team and a member of the installers team), he is also part of the #writethedocs community and a founding member of testthedocs.org, which is centered on documentation training, tooling and testing.

Leonardo is from Venezuela. He has contributed several for PloneGov communities in Belgium and the Brazilian Federal Senate since 2008. He is a technical reviewer of 'Packt publishing' Editorial in the cookbook called 'Plone 3 Intranets'. Leonardo maintains Spanish translations for many Plone Add-ons as well as Spanish-language documentation.

Thomas is the owner at it-spirit, an IT Consulting and Software Development company based in Bavaria, Germany. He is working with and developing for Plone since 2007, a core contributor since 2012 and maintainer of several Plone add-ons. Thomas started software development in 1995 (Pascal, Delphi), and was creating his first web projects in 2003. Introduced to Plone in 2007 during his studies in Leipzig, Germany he fell in love with Plone and Python immediately.

Oz started programming with Python to simulate ground water flows with chemical reactions and soon began using it full time doing software development, working mostly on back-end systems.

Rob is a frontend webdeveloper for over 20 years. He worked at and founded several companies and is now working as a freelancer. He wrote Volto, Mosaic and the initial TinyMCE implementation for Plone. He is a former Frameworkteam member, UI-team member and Ploneconf organizer and a Plone core developer for over 10 years. When he's not writing code he loves to climb mountains.
