"I called these guys and someone came out within a week to give me an estimate. They talked me through everything and I signed the contract before he left. Within about a month they had some guys come out to perform the work. They showed up on time and got the job done within a day. The work was great and the gates matched a fence we already had up. Our gates feel solid and we are very happy with the work done.

"Cuevas Lumber replaced a shared fence on our property almost 9 years ago. Since the job was arranged by the neighbor, I wasn't there to look at details. I thought our gate was installed a bit tight, but it worked, so I left it alone. Over they years things were shifting and this year it got to the point that the gate was almost jammed. It took a bit of effort to find the contact info to the contractor who did the job, and two days after I called them Fidel came over and fixed the gate, cheerfully, perfectly, and under a goodwill warranty - 9 years after the fact. How is that for customer care? How the company stands by its services is probably the best measure of its true quality. It is getting rarer by the day to find people who still care. When you do find them, keep them in your contact list. This guys is a keeper.

"They started each day at 8:00 AM and worked until 5:00 or later. They were very polite and professional. The lead person George would explain what they would be doing each day and then perform the tasks. The deck looks like it is brand new and the redwood has the original color and grain. Note: the bill included 4 hours of setting the deck screws so they could sand. Otherwise they performed to the bid.

"First, Tam came out from the company to scope the work needed and provide quote. He was knowledgeable and personable. We scheduled an appointment for about a week later. Jose and Vu (hope i have his name right) arrived on appointed day. I showed them the areas. They each took one bathroom and worked for about four hours before taking a break. They were quiet and respectful. They both took about a 20 minute lunch break and then continued for about two more hours before finishing. I checked the work and found everything cleaner than ever before (it is a rental property) and all work performed as promised. The grouting and caulking was professionally finished and a clear coat protector was applied. It was kinda expensive, but did this for my wife who by the way is pretty frugal. The end work was so good that even she did not complain about the expense. I was goona do the work myself, but the caulking and grout was in bad shape so didn't think i could make it look really good without experience. I made the right decision!.
