Not sure about the way jobs are priced. My job turned out to be very simple and definitely nowhere near the cost which I had to pay, as that had been quoted. Literally a two minute job with no other outlay for resources for the builder, but as he had quoted the price, that is what I had to pay. Ridiculous.

Experience started in March with an "All-in" quote, right down to the painting. It was a new kitchen, sunroom extension. The builder came across as a nice genuine guy but quickly things went bad. He deviated off plan with the drains, which Building Control would not pass as they could not get at them, a 90 degree bend under my sub floor with no inspection chamber. Alarm bells should have rang then but he was a very convincing liar. Things got worse when he again deviated off plan with the structural engineers design for a steel to carry the hipped roof. He said he'd liaise with the sturctural engineer, but never did. Again, Building control could not pass. At the end of July he said he was going to sort the roof and drains, but needed a further amount of money for the windows to be ordered. To cut to the chase, he received that money and shortly afterwards left site for another Project, lied about his whereabouts and now refuses to come back to rectify things, return the money for the windows and has the cheek to say i owe him money. I am now in the position where i've lost quite a considerable amount of money and am engaging a new builder to remove and rectify the roof, and also sort my sewers.

Hope Landscaping is totally reliable. The job turned out to be more demanding than he had allowed for in the quote, but he didn’t increase the price. The finished job is excellent and during the work Lee regularly telephoned to check on progress. I can unreservedly recommend this company.

Stairs collapsed to studio. Went online to MyBuilder. Builder urgently required, as could not access studio above garage. Sorted in a couple of days. Brilliant service.

Amazing website, I have been using it for many years. The good thing it publishes negative feedback to the bad builders profile and the negative feedback stays. As opposed to the other websites where they remove feedback .

Shawn and his colleague were great, nothing to complain about. They were friendly, helpful, did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. Reasonable rates and very informative. Didn't make as much as they could have but did an excellent job that suited my pocket. Would recommend them to anyone.

Very efficient and excellent job. Estimate arrived the next day. He arrived exactly at the time and date arranged. The job was more difficult than first thought but the end result was just what I wanted. He left the room clean and tidy. I obviously needed to wipe down and hoover but very little mess. I would quite happily use him again.

Used MyBuilder.com to find a fencer. So quick & easy to use, within hours those interested sent responses. I just selected those I thought best to quote for job. Saved me time, didn't have to phone or email multiple companies, they found them for me from companies, already listed with them. Would use again when needing work done.
