The Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) conducts long-term security planning and support for U.S. participation in international events such as the Olympics and Paralympic Games and domestic events with significant international participation.
DSS works with host-nation security and law-enforcement officials to ensure the safety of U.S. citizens, athletes, corporate sponsors, and media during the Olympic Games, the Pan Am Games, the World Cup, and other major international events.
