SIGUA - Geographic Information System of the University of Alicante

The University of Alicante Geographical Information System (SIGUA) is the Campus Facilities and Sustainability Vice-president Office  management system that holds spatial data on corporate facilities such as infrastructures, buildings and equipment, as well as their use and organization.

SIGUA provides users with a JavaScript WEBGis application built on Bootstrap and Leaflet which integrates on-line maps with multiple search tools for locating places, organizational units and staff. As for developer resources, there are standard web map services and a REST API available that allow consuming information from SIGUA geodatabase.

SIGUA operates on free software and many useful developments are open sourced through the Sigua.NETproject so that other organizations can benefit from and collaborate on GIS developments for corporate facilities management.

SIGUA geodatabase, applications and on-line services are developed by the Geomatics Laboratory at the Inter-university Institute of Geography.
