Dr.  Aswani Kumar Cherukuri

Aswani Kumar Cherukuri is Professor at School of Information Technology and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. He holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Computer Science from Acharya Nagarjuna University, India & a PhD degree in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology, India.  His research interests are Information Security, Machine learning & Quantum Computing.  

He was a recipient of Young Scientist Fellowship from Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology.  Also, he was a recipient of The Indian Express (India's leading English daily newspaper) inspiring teacher award 40 Under Forty. He has executed few research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India; Dept of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India; Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) Govt of India.  He published more than 100 refereed research articles so far in various national, international journals and conferences. He has delivered technical talks at several national & international conferences.  He is the editorial board member for several international journals. 

He is a Senior member of ACM. He has organized a three week Summer school on Information and Systems Security in association with ACM India during May & June of 2017 which attracted students from across the country.
