#OnThisDay in 1612 Saskia Uylenburgh was baptised. In 1633, she married none other than Rembrandt van Rijn. He often painted, drew and etched Saskia. On this print from 1636 the happy couple is immortalised together. ❤️

We feliciteren choreograaf Hans van Manen van harte met zijn 90ste verjaardag! Dit portret is door Erwin Olaf van hem gemaakt ‘denkend’ aan Robert Mapplethorpe, voor beiden een inspiratie. Van Manen schonk in 2019 werken van Mapplethorpe, waaronder het beroemde zelfportret.
