Does Apple offer recycling?

Yes. You can recycle any Apple device through our recycling partners. We’ll make sure it’s recycled responsibly or given a chance to be used again.

What happens to my device once I recycle it?

When we receive your device, it will be recycled in an environmentally responsible way through one of our partners.

What happens to my personal information after I send in my device?

Your personal information will be completely wiped from your device, so make sure to back up your data before you send it in.

How do I turn off Find My iPhone, Find My iPad or any other Apple device from my account?

To turn off Find My iPhone or Find My iPad on your device:

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Apple ID, then tap iCloud.
  3. Turn off Find My iPhone or Find My iPad.

Can Apple return the device to me once it has been submitted for recycling?

Once the device has been handed over, recycling partners cannot guarantee that the device can be returned to you. By participating in the programme, you relinquish all rights to it.
